The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation, with customers frequently expressing frustration over prolonged service delays, inadequate repairs, and poor customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with product quality and the perceived lack of accountability from the company, particularly regarding warranty claims and post-purchase service. While a few customers noted positive interactions with individual staff members, these instances are overshadowed by widespread dissatisfaction with sales tactics and unresolved complaints. Overall, the feedback indicates a critical need for improved customer service practices and greater transparency in product quality and repair processes.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. Never have I dealt with a company that was not only unprofessional but also unorganized and down right liars. My boyfriend and I went to purchase an RV due to a very unfortunate event that is leaving us without a home. We brought in our live savings of 30K cash in hopes we might be able to leave with something. The salesman was new and a little all over the place but non the less, he was very kind. We looked at multiple units and ultimately agreed on 2. We then gave $1000 deposit to "hold the unit" and were convinced that financing was a better option by the "finance manager" as he stated "cash is not king". Jeremy (finance manager) sat with us and went over numbers. We explained that we were in a rush and needed one asap. 4 days later ( some rush) we were approved for financing and said we wanted to move forward. Bottom line... the unit we thought we were buying was NOT one we had agreed upon. After wasting yet another 2 days, the store manager said, Troy, apologized for the miss communication and asked me to bring my family down as he wanted to "make it right". We went down to Camping World and not once did Troy bother to speak with us or work with us. We were shown another unit (that Troy suggested) and we loved it. We sat to do paperwork abd were told that it was out of our price range. My family and I will be homeless starting tomorrow. On top of that they pocketed our $1000 which was never told to us! They asked for one hundred dollars down and we opted for more as we were in the building.
Troy provided the worst customer service. Jeremy lied straight to our face and ultimately they took advantage of our situation. Stay far away from these crooks. They are disgusting human beings who lack morals, respect and honesty. They will steal, lie, cheat and take advantage of you!
Buyer beware! Go ANYWHERE BUY HERE!
Promised to replace my front awning 3 months ago not been done. Not a good business this sucks. Don't go to camper world.
Was driving by today and on their big old sign flashing outside saying they have Pampers for less than $10,000. So I called I got a woman on the phone in sales and she said they're 16,995 is a cheapest and I said no your website says 15 4 but your sign outside says under 10,000 but we don't have no more of those okay can I order one I would like to order one I'm not in a hurry I can wait I'll let you talk to my manager the manager gets on the phone and I told him the same exact story and he says oh we don't have any more of those so can I order one no that sale is over with so your sign says it outside that's flashing on and you're telling me I can't order one so what you're saying is it's fault advertisement to get me to come in there well yeah that's the way you want to look at it I'd like to speak to the owner please or you can call back tomorrow and talk to the general manager and he hangs up hangs up on me so if you're looking for a good deal go to anybody but camping world
Minus 5…
Was supposed to be the most exciting day. Finally getting our camp trailer. Salesmen was fabulous! Hands down. That is where it ends. Heaven forbid you decline gap insurance or extended coverage. I was asked, do you have enough money to cover the cost of the trailer if anything happens on the way home? Are you kidding me? Wow! Then we left, got the trailer and our sway bars installed. We asked, are we all good? Yes, good to go. Ok, thank you. Apparently we did not pay for the sway bars. We were unaware. However, we were quickly made aware. We were towing our trailer an hour away. We received 15 calls! While we were driving a trailer home. We were so dumbfounded. A day that was supposed to be amazing turned into a day we don't ever want to remember. So glad we made it home and nothing happened during the 15 phone calls from the dealer. Don't do it. Go some where else!
Bought a used 37ft Thor in Jax and was told to bring it back if anything needed fixing. After a long vacation I brought it back to the St Augustine Gander store with over two dozen repairs needed. Eight months later, after no return calls, and many promises that all is fixed but waiting for door. Found out I owed over $500 for diagnostics, not repairs. I said $67 to tell me something is broken when I said it was broken on my list. Finally got quote to fix everything but forgot labor cost. Saw RV and awning was shredded. They say it came in that way but $600 for the part. Wrote to Marcus L main office but never heard back. I hope to pick it up next week, pay the $500 for diagnostics, and get the hell away from them. PS it took six months to get the radio ordered, the only warranty covered item in their expensive extended warranty deal and still not ready after 8 months.
MOST P/%$ POOR COMPANY I'VE DEALT WITH... PROMISES... EXCUSES...$$%$¥£}¤.
MARCUS SHOULD FIRE HIMSELF FOR HIS STUPIDY IN RUNNING A COMPANY...
ALL RV DEALERS AND MANUFACTURS SRE IN THE SAME BED...
IF I DID TO A FEMALE WHAT THEY DO TO US CONSUMERS, IT WOULD BE CALLED RAPE AND I WOULD BE PUT IN JAIL...
After fighting with camping world for FIVE months, the tried to buy me with a $500 dollar check. What about the other $5000 + that my insurance company will not cover as they are saying the damage to my trailer was there prior to my purchase. Camping world told my states attorney general that they sent me a $500 check so as for as they are concerned, the matter is closed. I have not and will not cash that check until this is resolved. Where does camping world get off trying to pay someone off for something that they screwed up on. It should be a crime to prey on anyone who is trying to make a better life for themselves, especially a senior citizen on a fixed income. You cannot tell me that camping world did not know about the damage when they took this trailer in on trade. If my insurance company found out about the prior damage, then you would think camping world would know about it also. I have asked the local politicians for help but they cannot line their pockets by giving me any help. Any suggestions?
This company is the worst company to deal with product came damaged. Customer service stinks wrong shipping number.
Long story short, this wasn't our first time buying a trailer but it has by far been the worst experience ever at the Georgetown KY store. Found the trailer online, called the store two days later and had arranged for purchase/pickup the following week. We received the complimentary call to confirm we were coming to pick up the day before pickup. Everything was good, right? Wrong! So we drove the 3 hours to the dealership to be met with a 2-1/2 hour fiasco of trying to take our new trailer home with us that day. Our sales guy had the day off. Okay no big deal until no one knew what was going on. Then the trailer wasn't ready. You confirmed we were coming, why is it not ready? The amount we had on our side of things was not the price we were to pay. How do you screen up the price? They had no one to "deliver" it. That was all prearranged so who dropped that ball and we're not leaving without it. We drove 3 hours to get it. And last but not least - they have no trailer keys. Seriously? You have trailers on your lot for sale and you don't have all the sets of keys? First it was, the lady who holds the keys was out. Then it was other dealership that we had it sent in from didn't send them over. Um? The trailer was at this location, we didn't have it brought in, we came to it. We finally get through all the excuses and find the silver lining with the tech from the back that came to our rescue to take delivery of our trailer without the keys. But now we're back to frustration as weeks have come and gone, many phone calls have been made to be met with having to leave voicemails asking for calls that are not being returned or more excuses from the extremely rude lady who was out and was supposed to be sending us the keys. Not a very happy camper right now.
DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD THEY WILL SELL YOU A USED CAMPER WITH MULTIPLE PROBLEMS AND IN THE END HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE. HORRIBLE COMPANY
Eager to sell but once its your best of luck. Within the first 2 hours our electrical went out, the door broke and some other miner adjustment needed. Our trailer has been in the shop for over 2 months and not repaired yet. I think they are pulling out all the wiring. They are not eager to return calls or let you know what is going on. No return policy either. I may go back to my 26 year old pop up that works just fine instead of a what I thought was a nice upgrade.
Wanted to follow up on a part ordered and for several days no one answered the phone. Drove several miles to check on it and waited out turn to ask. The guy at the computer was not pleasant at all. We asked about the part, which happens to be a different department and he had no access to the information. In addition, that department was closed! Needless to say, a wasted trip!
For anyone buying a trailer, RV etc. they are quick to help you here, but if you have any kind of repair you will have to wait Several weeks before you get it back! Oh, that's if they answer the phone so you can make the appointment!
Don't ever buy any RV they will not service any of it when it comes to the vehicle repair they will say you have to find it yourself they only sale and leave you hanging at your transport expense. I purchased brand new freedom elite suspension went out I had to find a trucking place to get it repaired and they left me hanging and stuck in the road for 5 days no call back and even the good Sam elite membership you have to get in accidents to get help the Ford won't cover the waranty and camping world won't help and THOR say they have done the speck before they sent to camping to sell. So I got stuck on 1200 miles 2 months old Freedom elite RV cost of repair none of this company help it 140 miles is the nearest repair from my home. DONT NOT EVER BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD YOU WILL REGRET IT!
We purchased a rv at Burchrun camp world and it's been nothing but lies. They over charged us then said it was a mistake. Still have not sent in the correct paperwork so we can refinance at a lower interest rate and we are paying intrest on the wrong amount. They say paperwork takes 30 to 45 days to process I say B. S. maybe in the fiftys, but not not in the computer and fax age. Everytime I try to get an answer it's the run around and more lies. Buyer beware they will fleece you and lie to u. Best advice for you would to be go eles where! A side note we have had ownership 2 weeks. Never-ending b. S.
You must sit down with a sales rep and go over all your financial numbers before they begin to show you any RV's and most of the time it is what they want to show you and not what you may have in mine. I been told by their sales rep, if you don't have the money today, your wasting their time. I was very Shocked by that comment! I had my travel trailer In for service and just wanted to look around. They said no! What are they hiding! They have a great service department is the only reason I go their. Camping World of Minneapolis (Monticello). James
We just bought our first camper through camping world. Andre did our walk-through and he did an amazing job showing us everything and explaining everything. I highly recommend him for your walk-through. 110% satisfied!
Campingworld took out the refrigerator before we bought the unit and put in a 12 V one instead of the three-way one. When they capped off the gas line going to the old refrigerator he never put any paste or tape on the copper line which made it leak inside the unit and outside the unit, we didn't find it for a year after the tank was empty very, very dangerous it had to be done on purpose even a kid knows you have to put something on the threads to prevent gas leakage.
Our RV was there for 3 months for warranty work and it was left unlocked by workers. We had a generator and xbox and our black tank was full when we got it back with waster. Yes it was empty when we dropped it off. Now they are giving us the run around about getting our personal items replaced. Horrible service even at the corporate level. They do not return calls. Customers only matter when you are buying the RV.
I was told this was a Christian family business, but let me tell you about our experience with Camping World in Alvarado...
My husband and I were shopping for a camper and our credit wasn't the best to work with, but was approved by SAGO Financial. We put a deposit down on the camper to hold for us, this was in December of 2021. We got a call saying that the tow frame on the camper was broke and they needed to order the part and have it fixed before we could drive it off of the lot, because it being a dangerous thing - it could break and flip the camper over while driving. We were also told that since it was a Coleman, they could only get that part through Coleman, so it was going to take awhile. We would have to call and check the status on it all the time, to see how much longer it was going to be before we could pick up our trailer (was guaranteed ours since we had a deposit on it). Well come February, still no trailer. The salesman that we've been working with said he would get back to me. I told him that we had already made a reservation for March spring break to go camping. You would think by then it would be fixed.
A few days later my husband gets a call from the finance department and tells us that since it has taken so long for the part, SAGO has gone out of business (bankrupt) and there's no other finance agency that will finance us.
Our heart was broken, we spent a LOT of money buying for this particular camper, in their store mind you! Now we were out of money and in a panic all at once... What are we going to do?
We went to Fun Town and was finance that day and guess who financed us? SAGO, yes... they said that they never went out of business and can't believe we were told that.
Camping World flat out lied to us and I personally believe that we had got such a great deal on the camper we had a deposit on at camping world, until the part came in and they realized they were going to be out money because that part wasn't cheap.
This isn't right to do people like this, especially after we waiting for several months (not our fault the part was broke) and we spent so much money for bedding and to fix that particular camper up for our liking.
VERY UNCHRISTIAN LIKE, TO LIE AND DO PEOPLE THAT WAY...
Would like to give 5 STARS to Keith the service tech. He always knows what is what when you have an issue. He is professional and explains the cause of issue. Thanks you Keith, Andrew and Brie.

Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
Answer: Yes I have emails to show. That I have been promised a refund waiting this line I expect a full refund and the run around is with it. If would like I can forwarded you the emails and you can ask where's my check.
Answer: Terrible - didn't seem to care and basically told me I was on my own
Answer: The people at camping world will tell you that they will call you. BULL! They never called me, so I tried calling them FIVE times! Not one return call. Not very reputable!
Answer: Just keep writing letters to all of the local politicians.
