I Love all the Cabela stores and often will make stopping at one of them part of our travels around the country. They have a great shopping experience and there are some good deals to be had. I like to buy online but sometimes you need to touch and feel the products or try them on, and having a wide variety in one place makes it our go to. The clothing is better now that Bass Pro purchased them. Overall we like Cabelas very much
BUYER BEWARE - I purchased a brand new Kimber from Cabela and paid full price. The firearm would not fire straight out of the box! Now I am shipping it to Kimber for a fix. Cabela said they could not exchange due to it being a firearm. They later admitted that is a Cabela policy. They could exchange but CHOOSE not to. So in essence, we paid full price for a gun that will have to be repaired and there is no recourse. I will NEVER purchase another firearm from Cabela. If you purchase a firearm here, know their policy is just a Cabela thing. Some gun shops stand behind what they sell, this one doesn't!
Tried to buy a pistol at Cabela's, they took my name and number and said they would call me the following week. That was 4 weeks ago as of 8/23/22. Still haven't heard back from them yet. Nice store but like anyone else, no body does what they say they will do. Bought my pistol off gunbroker instead

They had no intention of getting back to me so I waited an extra two weeks before I bought what I was going to buy somewhere else

Ok- Since I wrote this review and another on Facebook, Cabela's Customer Service reached out and orchestrated an exchange or return of the shotgun. I am please now with the outcome and their interest in my satisfaction. I just wish the managers at the store had the range to assess these situations and do the right thing face to face without all of this review reaction.
I purchased two shotguns ~1 month ago along with sites. The guy who sold them to me couldn't find a site mount and said to order on Amazon. When I got home, I realized that there were no holes bored into one of the guns for the mounts and also realized the no return policy on the box. I Was not made aware of this policy at the store. Bottom line is that I was told that my only option is to take it somewhere else to have it machined which is expensive and time consuming since closest business that does this is 45 minutes away and not opened on the weekends. When expressing my situation to "customer service" they explained that "the only option for them was to give me a $25 gift card."
While nice of them, it doesn't really solve my problem and hassle. What ever happened to good customer service and making sure the customer is satisfied when they walk out the door. These big companies need to be punished for this. I'm looking for other options for everything GB I purchase even if it cost a couple of dollars more.
Was approved for a credit card with 0% interest, 30 days prior to promotion ending, but never received the card to take advantage of the 0 percent interest. It was stated to me it was not there fault that I didn't receive their card. And still haven't received a card to this date.
I have been a customer of theirs for over 25 years and like them alot. I really enjoy their stores also but I guess they got too comfortable and their online shopping has gotten sloppy, well their shipping anyhow. I placed a fairly large order of fishing supplies. Yesterday UPS came with a fair size box so I thought it was the whole order. Nothing was back ordered so I thought it was all there. NOPE. Just 2 of the 15+ items I ordered. What a waste of shipping. Then they had a note in the huge empty box saying the rest of the order was shipped separately. WHY? It was instock, the box you sent had plenty of room in it. And I noticed they charged my account 3 differnt times for the 1 order I placed. The total was correct adding all the charges up but whats the deal with that? Guess I should look for 2 more boxes coming in.
