Sold lots of my stuff

I've sold many many items on their site over the years. I almost always get their return packages to mail my stuff to them. I feel their grading system, price offered, time to receive your payment and communication is excellent. I have never had an issue and have always had a great transaction.

Great website. The process was so easy. I found my iPhone 5 and got an upfront price quote. They sent my kit and I shipped back the phone. I received the money in my paypal account 2 days after my cell phone got there. I told my friends about this site because it is awesome.

Good transaction.

Was skeptical at first, but the buy back system is legit. They send the box, free of charge, free shipping, etc- and keep you updated as each step of the progress is occurring. In 10 days all together, I was sent the exact amount I was quoted.

Very easy to use their site and very fair. Fast payment! They had the highest prices of others I'd looked at and they actually pay you (unlike others I've used). Will definitely use them again in the future!

Easy to Sell--Honest Value

It was very easy to sell my old AirPods after buying the newer model. I followed their instructions on the website, printed and attached the free label to the box I was mailing it in and a couple of days later they contacted me via E-Mail. I owned them for several years and in my opinion were in "fair" condition. When they inspected them to confirm their value, they bumped them to "excellent" condition and gave me a better price! I was very impressed with that.

More than expected!

I sold back 2 iPhones and an iPad. I was quoted one price before I sent them. Much to my surprise, after they received my items and inspected them they told me the iPhones were worth more than they originally quoted and paid me that amount! Totally unexpected! That is integrity in my book! Great doing business with an honest company! I will recommend them to everyone!

All went very well

I sent BuyBackWorld the information they needed and shortly after that, I heard from them with a quote. I accepted the quote. I packed up my item and sent it. Within a reasonable amount of time, I heard from them, they checked it over, met their criteria. Not long after that, I received a check. It was a good experience.

Really easy to use

I like buy back world because it is really easy to use. I have not had an issue with finding my phone and once all information is submitted, we have received our package and submitted our phones and payments have been received without issue.

Their site states a pretty fast turn around but in reality, it takes much longer. Sent my item almost 2 weeks ago & still waiting for them to review it. It has been there 5 days now.

We're sorry you weren't happy with your recent transaction. We typically take about one week to process an order. As it stands, your device was received on 04/19/2019. Your device then passed inspection for the Fully Quoted Value of $25 on 04/25/2019. Your payment was then processed and issued out to you on 04/26/2019 which is one week from when your device arrived to our facility. Since you chose PayPal as your payment option your funds were available to you for immediate usage. Thanks again and we look forward to hearing back from you in the near future.

Total waste of time. Graphics card. I requested a shipping kit on 12/13/2021. Waited a month for it never to arrive. I contacted them and they sent a new one. Had to email them in every step of the way to see what is going on with it. Price went from 92$ to 40$ because "Dirty". It wasn't dirty at all. Less than 1/2 the price that was quoted to me. Only a 3 dollar can of duster is needed to fix any sort of dust that could possibly be a problem. Choose another company if you are reading this.

Just use another company

There are lots of services like this: do not use buybackworld. They are slow. Customer service is terrible (email only, no phone number -- always a bad sign). It has been over 2 months since sending them a tablet. They kept delaying processing and then failed to meet a deadline they set for themselves. Even after contacting them multiple times, they have not resolved my issue and have not sent the agreed upon dollar amount for the tablet. I have now filed a complaint with the NYS Consumer Protection department. Just use another service. They are not worth the aggravation.

Sale of 2 gift cards to Buy Back World
December 6, 2019

Terrible experience. The prices offered are far less than Card Kangaroo. There was a problem with the link to print out an address label to send in the GC's and that required extra time and effort. The processing is too slow. It took 1 week for the 1st GC to be reviewed and another week for the 2nd. I got an email 2 weeks ago indicating payment was coming but still has not arrived.

Horrible company

Horrible company whom does not stand by their products. Screwed me out of my money when they delilvered my order to wrong address and was signed for by person other than anyone from mynlocation. If anything happens to your deliver they will take your money and not refund you as most companies do

Fed Ex would not accept what Buyback sent me as a packing slip. They also
Wanted a separate shipping label. I got BuyBack to re-send the documents, but they
Again only sent me a packing slip to print. NO LABEL.
I tried calling the number listed at their website, and it doesn't answer. It says they
Can take a message, but there is no indication of what company you actually got ahold of. Sounds like they do business in some kid's garage.

It's a rip off

They give you a quote. Then they find something wrong and amend the quote. It's what all these companies do now no one is honest anymore. Then they will send it back! Ok but that's now how I sent it in so I can't do anything with it now!

Too little, too late
November 14, 2018

I sent in a Samsung phone which according to their website would be worth about $10. They received it on September 3rd. I waited and waited to get a response back. On October 3rd, having heard nothing from them, I asked for a status. I received a generic email stating that they were upgrading their facilities and that I should expect a turnaround time of 20 days instead of 2 days. Note: 30 days had already passed. So we continue waiting. Finally, on November 14, I receive a reply stating that the phone had a cracked LCD (it did not when I sent it. It was only scratched) and that they were only offering 25 cents for it. I went back to their website to look up my phone. They no longer accept it. So bottom line, after waiting almost two and half months, they decide they no longer want the phone and are now claiming that it is more damaged then when I sent it in.

I sent my phone in to sell. After 21 days, I received an email saying that BuyBackWorld reduced my $120 offer to $40 because they said the phone had a cracked screen. The phone was mailed, using their mailing label in its original Apple box, and did NOT have a cracked screen when I mailed it. I have attempted to contact them via Chat during their posted Chat hours and via email to customer support and asked them to file a claim with the USPS if the phone did indeed arrive with a cracked screen, because it was in perfect condition when I sent it. I am not feeling at all confident that I will hear from them before their deadline to accept or decline the offer by 6/3/19. I assume that that is how they get away with this - stall until it's too late.

Overall horrible

Took weeks to get paid out because they lost my shipment. Showed arrived, but they said they didn't have it. Made me jump through a bunch of hoops to finally get paid over a month later

This company is absolutely a scam. They don't honor what they have agreed to pay for my phone. They counter offer with a less than half of the original agreed price. I rejected the counter offer and asked to return my phone, they than return the phone to me without the brand new original box, earphone and power adapter.

This company do not deserve any star! I gave them 1 star as I am force to, without giving them at least 1 star the review wont' process. This company deserve to close their business not conning/hurting anymore people

They might be a scam
September 4, 2020

I sent two 100.00 gift cards to them and had received a quote that felt like an okay amount. The cards were received, but I cannot get them to send payment. They said payment might be delayed due to Covid-19, but I've been waiting three times that. I think I'm screwed.
