Bushcraft Parties

They advertise for Bushcraft instructors for kid's parties. They promise a salary of 120 GBP per party. However the scam is that Alexei Charkham, the founder/lead instructor and Head of Science at Hendon Prep School, says you have to complete 3 training days on a lower rate of 50 GBP per four hour training day. He then pairs you with an instructor who "trains'' you during the party. However, the instructor bullies you throughout the party and never really gives you an opportunity to progress beyond trainee status. It seems that the organisation encourages instructors to bully trainees to pressure them to leave the business so they never get to the point where they can ask for higher pay. The business has it's core instructors and uses new trainees as cheap and expendable labour. The organisation also encourages children and parents not to respect new trainees. This strategy also serves to encourage new recruits to leave quickly. Staff turn over seems very high in this organisation. I would carefully think about whether you would like to avoid this business. Have realistic expectations when applying for this job. They offer little job security and only offer a bit of extra cash. If you work here, keep your options open and keep looking for more serious work.
