The Kohler shower door works well. Installation was easier while watching the You Tube video; it took almost 2 hr. No leaking. Looks great with our Quartz walls shower. Delivery was timely and driver moved it into our garage. Build.com has been great to worki with and prices are wonderful.

I was having an awful time finding faucet stems for faucets in my Dad's 34 year old house. We only had one working bathroom faucet. After searching 2 Home Depot's (including online), 3 Ace Hardwares, a local plumbing supply store and numerous online suppliers, Price-Pfister directed me to Build.com. I had my order in time for out of town family visitors. This was a great company to do business with.
Order was placed and they let me know what was on backorder and when it would be shipped. Love the merchandise.
Bought a very expensive tiffany light for my pool table. When it arrived it had a section that had been broken. Called Build.com and spoke to Troy. He contacted the manufacturer, Ouoizel, and they sent a replacement. All ended well. Thanks Build.com and Troy.
All the orders I had was an issue. If you are a home owner this site sells everything in bits and pieces that if you are not a contractor you wouldn't know what you are missing until things get delivered. They insisted that their site is clear. And they insist you talk to an expert. Well if I needed to talk to someone then I would have got to Home Depot or Lowes. The reason you buy online because you want to keep things simple and you try to save time. So this site is totally do not understand why people buy online and how people buy online. Photos are not even accurate and that is the simplest thing to do upload the right photo.
It may be the pro rep that you get assigned but when working with Ace Osborn you should expect greatness. He worked out competitive pricing, researched products that would work in very specific install situations, ensured prompt shipment and followed through with returns and reimbursements on items that did not work out. Clearly, I am a pleased customer and I hope this review helps.
Nice product selection, decent prices. But thats where it ends. Each time i have ordered from them it turns into a huge shipping nightmare.
Was assigned a "pro rep" which sounds great but then becomes complicated as everything must go thru them. If you have a question, want to place an order, make a return they have to be available. So you leave a message and hope they get back -- mine often didn't and then often had excuses why didn't follow-up. Place a couple orders and (presumably) Build.com's warehouse made several errors in the shipment to where what was sent in the box didn't match the order which didn't match the packing slip. Trying to get them to resolve their own issues -- just to get them product back that their records didn't even show were sent -- was next to impossible. I've heard others have good experiences but mine has been bad every step of the way.

I have ordered from Build.com several times, and each time I was not disappointed. The first time, the item that was sent was damaged; I got a new one very quickly. The second, the wrong size was sent; I was told to keep the item and that a new one would be shipped immediately. Both those times, the items were sent directly from the manufacturer, so it was not Build.com's fault. That's why I order from them; if there is a problem, they correct it immediately. All of these items were Rev-a-Shelf items which I could have ordered elsewhere; but Build's prices are the best (or at least competitive) but their customer service is top-notch and for that reason, I will always check out Build.com first.

I had an issue with a toilet seat I had purchased and they took care of it right away! As I was leaving town I had some anxiety about getting the defective item back in time. To ease my mind they told me not to bother...just throw it away! I have had nothing but excellent service from this company and their customer service represenatives! FIVE STARS!!!
Spoke with Duke and told him i could purchase the lights for my kitchen on another web site cheaper, he did a price match.It turns out i ordered the wrong part #, I called Duke and told him the issue he told me no problem. He was able to correct my problem and called me the next day and told me the right part was ordered and on its way

Horrible service from Kohler and Build.com - both should be held accountable - let's see who steps up first... DO NOT MAKE A PURCHASE FROM BUILD.COM! I made a large purchase from Build.com for my Kohler bathroom fixtures in early February 2018. I had to delay my construction on my bathroom several times due to backorder of shower fixture. After having a studded bathroom for 6 months and no honest communication from Build.com. I purchased a temporary shower fixture from Lowe's (more money out of my pocket). Now once the bathroom is done - realized I have an extra towel rod and my shower fixture is still on backorder and now past return date. My husband called in August and was assured we would have the fixture in September - well just got delayed again until November. At this point I have gotten more excuses from Build.com via Kohler (supposably). Understandably I have no confidence - called Build.com - escalated to the OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT! THEIR ANSWER - THEY WILL CREDIT ME $100 AND EXPEDITE SHIPPING WHEN THE FIXTURE COMES IN! Keep in mind - I let them know that I have an extra towel rod, spent $170 on a temp shower fixture and now have to have someone in to remove all fixtures as I have no idea when I will get the delayed fixture and then purchase all new fixtures. Horrible service from both Build.com and Kohler. By the way - if you attempt to buy this fixture right now - the site says it ships in 2-3 weeks - NOT TRUE! OFFICE OF PRESIDENT - THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPERIOR SERVICE!

Answer: I don't know how you can actually get them to answer the correct lead time. I received an estimated ship date when I ordered an American Standard faucet. Then, they emailed me 3 more times with delays. I called them after the first delay, and while I was on the phone with the agent, she placed me on hold and called American Standard, and said they told her that there would be no more delays. After this last delay, I called to cancel the order. They said they would "request cancellation" from American Standard. The big problem is they charged my account IMMEDIATELY when I ordered the product, but won't refund the money until American Standard confirms the cancellation. The service agent i spoke with escalated to her supervisor, and the supervisor is the worst person I have ever encountered when dealing with customer service.
Answer: Sorry to hear that. What finish were you trying to match? Usually its best ti use the same brand name when trying to match a finish, such as a Moen faucet to match a Moen towel bar or towel ring. That is because everybody has their own technique of making their products. I wonder if the finish on your new American Standard faucet is doesn't match because the other item you're matching in not made by American Standard. You should be able to return it if it hasn't been installed in any way and you still have the original packaging. While we do have an occasional defect get sent out, we are always quick to send a new one out to the customer.
