ATTENTION PAYPAL EXPLOIT
March 3, 2024

ATTENTION PAYPAL EXPLOIT: Please share repost this information on X (twitter) and every social site you can, PayPal have a security issue with there auto-payment service meaning you can be added to a subscription service on PayPal without your knowledge or consent.Check your PayPal account now for unauthorized subscriptions.

To Paypal, banks and affected individuals.

"Bait and Switch" tactics are employed by uab rebilita, trading as Brainety, to surreptitiously enroll users into subscription services without proper confirmation or consent. This loophole appears to be directly facilitated by PayPal's auto-payment service, which is being manipulated to add vendors for subscription services without adequate notification or authorization from customers.

THE BAIT: Brainety offers an "Innocent IQ test" through various social media platforms. Upon completion of the test, users are prompted to purchase their results as a downloadable PDF certificate for a small nominal "one-time fee" payable via PayPal.

THE SWITCH: When users proceed to make the payment via PayPal, they are presented with a request to pay for the "IQ test" at the stated small price. However, the vendor covertly adds an undisclosed amount for a subscription service, effectively hiding this additional charge from the customer. Typically, when a user consciously subscribes to a service, PayPal issues an invoice at the time of payment, and the vendor is added to the auto-payment list. However, in this case, Brainety is exploiting a loophole within the PayPal system.
As users pay the one-time fee for the test results, they are unwittingly and covertly enrolled in a "7-day Free Trial" through deceptive means, such as hidden links or undisclosed programming.

Subsequently, PayPal automatically adds this unethical vendor and any associated charges to the auto-payment list without notifying the user of a subscription activation.

Users only receive a PayPal invoice for the initial small fee labeled as "IQ results," without any indication of the added subscription service. This represents a failure and oversight on the part of the PayPal team, enabling this scam to persist.

Seven days later, the subscription is activated, and users receive an invoice notification from PayPal for the ongoing monthly subscription fee of $50+. When users dispute the charge with PayPal, it appears that PayPal merely assesses it at face value and deems it an authorized transaction. Exploiting this flaw, the vendor continues to exploit customers, assured that PayPal will not conduct further investigation, thus enabling them to retain funds.

My requests to PayPal are as follows:
Conduct a thorough investigation into the unethical practices of this company, substantiated by the numerous complaints outlined by a simple Google search.
2. Implement measures to prevent further exploitation by this company and others by addressing the PayPal loophole.
Escalate this exploit finding to your security team for immediate action to introduce an email confirmation or SMS verification process for customers whenever a new vendor is added to the auto-payment subscription service. This simple measure would effectively eliminate this exploitation and loophole.

I urge PayPal to take this matter seriously!
Close the loophole to this unethical behavior.

DO NOT USE! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY WITHOUT PERMISSION! I WILL REPEAT.DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SC
January 22, 2024

UPDATE: Brainety reached out to me to "make it right". Please see the screenshot of my reply below with my pics...I HAVE YET TO HEAR BACK FROM THEM TO "MAKE IT RIGHT". THEY ONLY POSTED BELOW THAT THEY WANT TO FIX IT SO THAT THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE THE LYING THIEVING SCAM ARTISTS THAT THEY ARE!__________________________________________________________________

I made the mistake of taking a test for fun and ordered the results. They took my information to sign me into a monthly subscription of $38.80 and refused to refund my money. I had to put a stop payment at my bank or they would have taken it every month. Now they refuse to refund it. These people are thieves and the website they are peddling is crappy and lame supposed "brain" tests. I think the IQ test is if you fall for thier scammy rip off! ALSO, PAYPAL WILL NOT HELP YOU! BRAINETY (UAB) WILL NOT REFUND THE MONEY THEY TOOK. YOU WILL BE STOLEN FROM IF YOU USE THEM!

I WILL REPEAT...DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!

Tip for consumers:

I WISH I HAD KNOWN THAT THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND WOULD STEAL MY MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT!!!!! '

Products used:

I only purchased the results which were debitted as $2.16. Nowhere did they have any disclaimer that this was a subscription trial. They sent NUMEROUS emails soliciting that I buy a certificate which I ignored. They then took $38.80 additionally out of my paypal account. When I told them to refund it they said they cancelled my subscription (which I never ordered) and would not take any additional money but that theyt refuse to refund what they stole. I notified paypal who apparently is in it with them and they basically said "too bad". DO NOT foolishly fall for thier scam. THEY ARE THIEVES

Brainety is a SCAM
December 16, 2023

I did an online IQ test I thought was free. Then, I had to pay $2 to get the result number, fine, I paid $2. Since, they have charged me $19 and then today also $38 and CashApp won't stop the transaction until after Brainety steals my money AGAIN and then who knows what, if, or when I will get my money back while Brainety.com keeps stealing more over and over again often! These online forced subscriptions should not be allowed by anyone if people don't ageee to pay. I do not even have an account with Brainety. I have a paper trail via my email and screenshots. I can't even get into any account on Brainety, so I sure can't have anything I'm paying all this money for! I agreed to pay $2 ONCE and that is all. I've reported them to the government fraud department, the card app company I used to pay the $2 they stole from twice already, and now I'm blasting all over the internet. After that, every single day until they reverse all the $57 they stole from me, I will be reporting them to more places - EVERY DAY - until they give me my money back. CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT is my next step so everyone who has been scammed can get all of the stolen money back. I am not letting this happen. Oh, and when I called the number, the machine hung on me after saying the only way to communicate with them is via email! They've never answered any emails in 2 months of my fighting this already. I have 21 emails about this to and automated from Brainety since Nov 9th. It is Dec 16th. This is insane. Photos: original order $2.16. Tonight, trying to see if there is an account with a subscription I never actually agreed to. Photo 3: Fraud report. 4: response to my trying to see if there is an account on Brainety. 5: same email lower on the page. 6: initial order receipt. 7: further down that email. — I never clicked on any of those emails because I have no intention of being suckered into a fake subscription. I have no account, no password, no subscription, no access, no contract, and so far have never emailed with or spoken to a human being working there. Maybe AI is trying to get money to buy an android body. But even AI is excited to have conversations, so there must be at least 1 human being this scam. Siri even claps back banter. There is no excuse for this scam happening and continuing. One way or another - it is over for Brainety.

Tip for consumers:

I shared a lot.

Products used:

I took an online IQ test presented as free. After I spent all the time taking the test, they would not give me the results unless I paid $2. I paid $2. I got the score. I left the site and never thought twice about it until transaction after transaction has been STOLEN out of my account by them illegally. First $19, now $38, and today is day 37 since my $2 test results.
