Boost Mobile's reputation is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding customer service and product reliability. Customers frequently express frustration over long wait times, inadequate support, and unresolved service issues, including poor coverage and delays in order fulfillment. While some positive feedback highlights helpful individual representatives, the overall sentiment indicates a lack of cohesive support and organization within the company. Additionally, concerns about misleading information and billing practices further detract from customer satisfaction. This combination of factors suggests a pressing need for Boost Mobile to enhance its customer service protocols and improve service reliability to retain its clientele.

I ported over from Cricket to Boost Mobile not even a month ago. My internet never worked only was able to access 2/4 hotspots that was giving to me & my family plan. I called numerous of times & troubleshoot the issue. Just got off the phone today they said "I used my data & hot spot" when it never worked from the start. How? Not only that I did not sign up for slow internet I could've stayed with their competitors who has unlimited no slow speeds for the same exact price! Are you kidding me? That was not explained to me in the store. I was told oh yeah we are better same thing you get with cricket is what we give that's why they don't want you to switch. Ok so I'm gullible & switch plus needed a new phone end up paying over 400$ to buy 2 phones & switch over 2 phones. Fast fw, today I spoke with a total of 4 people for 1 hour. The supervisor Gel transferred me to an account specialist who was clueless as to why lol I guess she didn't want to resolve a new customer issue. I then retrieved my pin & account number from the rep, I asked to be transferred to a Different supervisor. She gets on the line "oh I see you got your pin you didn't tell the rep your concerns can you tell me" I'm like lady are you guys not notating the account I've been transferred 4 times. This supervisor Name is Michelle. So I proceed to keep talking to her about my experience she says oh the last supervisor explained this to you. I said hold up I thought you had no clue? She stared oh she is right here. & let me make this quick so I don't waist your time lol. Basically you waisted your money even tho o complained from day one my data does not work but now is used up its nothing she can do. So yeah if you wanna give away money, unanswered questions, & lack of customer service go on down to Boost Mobile. I am porting over today I will not!
They put others lives in jeopardy cause they mess up the sim card in your phone to where it will not even call 911. I have a heart condition. They messed up my sim card cause they said I was using to much internet and I paid for unlimited and they said I was in violation of terms and conditions. A week prior I called and a supervisor told me I was in no danger of haveing my phone cut off they took the bill money and cut phone off I would not even be able to call 911 at all now they will not give me a refund on the three months I paid in advance like I always have for years with them. I had to go pay t mobile 540.00 for new service and phone and they still have not gave me my number I had like I got the info for I am pissed but if you do not want to die DO NOT GET THIS PHONE CARRIER AT ALL THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT RIPPING GOOD PEOPLE OFF AND PUTTING YOUR LIFE AT RISK
Trust me, you don't want this company in your life. They started the new app(BoostOne), told me I HAD to log into it, I stupidly believed them. Logged in and magically my debit card information was already submitted before I even created an account. I contacted them, they agreed that it was highly illegal for them to save my personal information like that, asked them to remove it as I don't do autopay, they kept saying they removed it, and that I just needed to refresh my page for it to show that they removed my card. I was waiting for a whole hour and they kept giving me the run-around. I ended up having to put an old card on file that didn't actually work anymore just to remove my actual card information. Do not trust them with your personal information, huge mistake.
Since boost decided to force all of us to use the Boost one app to pay our bills I haven't been able to pay it. Nothing on that stupid app works. Went to a local Boost Mobile store to try to pay the bill. Store was closed when it should have been open. A misspelled handwritten sign was taped to the window, a bug-eyed man peeked out the door and finally unlocked it. He stood at the counter twitching and shaking and sweating. Clearly we interrupted him back there sucking on his meth pipe. He was nasty and sarcastic, accused me of using the wrong app, told me I was on a different plan and shouldn't have been using it. Then he told me I was hacked. Then he started yelling. And cussing. Ran to the corner of the store sucking his thumb and flipping us the bird repeatedly. I finally gave up and left the store. He followed us out the door cussing and screaming some more. Went back inside. Then came back out cussing and screaming again. Then he locked the door and turned off the lights of the store. Because of this we had to drive an hour to the next Boost Mobile store to pay my bill, which took only 10 minutes to pay. I was NOT hacked. This man does not belong working anywhere with the public, let alone running a store where he has access to people's sensitive information. The store is located in Bedford, Pennsylvania. That man needs to be gone! Between the horrible app that we are forced to use and that insane thing running the store, my 15 years with Boost Mobile are coming to an end. Boost offers no way to talk to an actual representative of the company or to email them. Any customer service calls are farmed out to people who barely speak English. Purposely no way to contact anyone in actual charge. Never had any problems with this company...until now.
My 1 year was up with Boost Mobile so I decided to go with Mint Mobile. I transferred my number to them, but in order to transfer I needed my account number from Boost. I spent all day constantly being transferred from one agent to another and finally got a supervisor in my chat to give me my account number. And once they did, I no longer had service with them. Which meant I could no longer make calls.
I had to go to a Boost Mobile store and beg them to use theirs. They are independently run stores and do not offer customer service. After being on hold for a half an hour, I finally got a supervisor on the line. She said she couldn't do it immediately because she had to send my information to another office that dealt with transferring accounts. She also told me she would definitely be sending me an email with instructions on how to do the transfer. So far, nothing. So being a vet, I have to go to a vet service center to contact them again. In the meantime, I plan on contacting the BBB.
This is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. I recommend everyone stay far away from this company.
Boost mobile locked my phone with no reason, I payed the phone in full I didn't own no money to them they told me they unlocked the phone but the phone stil in locked. I didn't signed any turm conditions they think i signed 3 years contract? No no
Because i left them, They are trying to Freeze me up. Don't trust them even there service is very poor! They are laying to the consumer!
They owned me $15.00 too
More than 5 YEARS with MetroPCS = NO Problems
More than 5 MONTHS with BOOST = Total Nightmare
Save time, money & sanity - AVOID BOOST MOBILE!
You call Customer Service, they tell you go to a store - You go to the store, they tell you to call Customer Service. I have had too many problems to even begin to list. Absolutely horrible. Easily one of the top 10 mistakes of my life. I totally regret going with Boost.
Terrible customer service, no internet or hotspot in my neighborhood,
Can't trust them
They have customer service sitting in phillipines who only read the script
Saying yes ma'am or no maam or sorry mam
Worst services, don't get this cell phone service
I have 4 lines and none of them have internet
I hope this helps others. If you buy a phone from Boost Mobile, pay it off, AND have had service with them for more than a year, your phone is STILL not able to be unlocked. You heard that right, you OWN the phone and for a whole year after the original purchase date you cannot move that phone to a new carrier. I've been with Boost Mobile since 2010 consecutively, every month (who can say that?!) and they refused to bend that rule. Instead, they strong-armed me into shutting up by bullying me on the phone, and made me cry. A55H0les! Don't let them scam you into an implied contract for a year; buy a phone somewhere else.
As soon as my month is up, I'm divorcing you boost mobile! What's up with that voicemail obligated app request?!
Every other review is the same thing, keep scrolling down and you will see this is a scum bag company. 2 hours estimated I was waiting to try to solve an issue with texting one person under my contacts. I had some issues with the text app with being able to text my family member. They could text me but my text didn't go through. This was the primary complaint. After about 2 or 3 agents later I finally asked for a supervisor to be placed on hold for another hour. When I get my refund check in March, bye bye boost see ya. Another customer you lost for your incompetent customer service! Don't deal with these jerks and that's being nice.
I purchased the $25 unlimited plant, which included unlimited data on December 26,2022. I did not activate the sim until January 7,2023. I did not notice the data did not work until the next day when I went out. I contacted customer service via chat, who keep direct me to test and troubleshoot my iPhone. None of the attempts worked. Then, I requested a refund, the customer service told me to call the number to request the refund. I called the number; then, another customer service asked me to go over the test and troubleshoot again. I explained that I had gone through the troubleshooting step already. However, the cs still force me to go through that step again with the reason it is the procedure. Then, they denied issuing a refund due to the date of purchase being outside of the time range, which did not work. According to the law, Boost Mobile failed to provide unlimited data, which they market, so they must issue a refund or customers can legally sue them. After several transfer phone calls for approximately 2 hours, I finally can get my refund and they cancel the account. I had to run to T-mobile immediately. Strongly recommend avoiding the scam.
To hard to reach anyone plus they dont want to give you your account number i will never use this comapy again stay away from it.
I will just write what happened and you can make your own decisions about whether or not you want to enter into any agreements with this company. They have the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Frankly, that's embarrassing for a company this size.
My father and I walked into a store to switch our plans from T-mobile (another crappy company) to Boost Mobile as new customers. I asked about the plans. She offered two lines unlimted TTD for $80. My dad is 86 and isn't going to pay $40 for a line when he doesn't text or stream. He just uses the phone. He doesn't even listen to voicemails. She offered me a $50 unlimited TTD line and him a $15 limited line. After activating our phones with new SIM cards ($70) she told us to go home and download the Boost App. A half an hour later, we got home and downloaded the app. An ad popped up for a $25 unlimited TTD line FOR NEW CUSTOMERS. I called the store and they said we weren't new customers anymore because we activated the lines at the store. I said that's because the plan wasn't offered. They said there's nothing we can do because we're not new customers! I called Boost support on the phone and have spoken with multiple agents and "resolution managers" and "supervisers" and wasted HOURS of my life doing so. Bottom line, no one has the authority to fix THEIR mistake. It's a case of sorry about my luck. If a company cannot fix their mistakes (or are unwilling to do so), do you really want to do business with them?!?!?!?! Basically, Boost Mobile screwed us. The girl at the store said she's pretty sure she offered the plan...like I'm going to say $25? Nah, I'd rather pay $50 for the same service. (not to mention the $25 plan also waives the $70 SIM card and activation fees!) I'm not attaching proof of purchase because of my credit card.
It was good until I asked a question about my bill...
Then my speed drop dramatically...
Totally bullsh!t...
So once I find another phone company I'm out
My teenagers line was terminated from the family plan for "unacceptable usage". Support couldn't give me a reason beyond that. My guess is his use of the hotspot. I Pay for the service and he didn't blast through the data plan, which Again.I Pay for. So now we have an expensive paperweight and no way to keep in contact while he is at his extra curricular activities. Thankfully his employer has a landline. This is ridiculous.
Ever since t-mobile took over boost turned into a terrible company. I was with them for 9 years no problem until t mobile took over. I was tired of the service they provided so I wanted to switch companies. I talked to 6 customer service operators and every single one said they had to transfer me to another department because I wanted to change companies. One operator told me it was illegal for him to give me my account number. I do not recommend anyone go with boost mobile. When before t mobile I would've said they were great.
Trying to switch to another carrier. Called boost last week to make sure the phone was no longer under contract and unlocked. They said it was no longer under contract and I was good to go. Started the switching process last night and found the phone is still locked. So this leaves me with no phone until boost unlocks it which they say takes up to three business days. Called three different times today trying to get to someone who can expedite this, but apparently the people I talked to don't know how to get in touch with that department? I was told this phone was clear but it's not and there is no way to expedite the unlocking. Their incompetence and total disregard for the customers has put me in a position of not having a phone for at least three days. This is going to cost me hundreds in lost revenue. Totally unacceptable. They simply do not care.
My 97-year-old's mother lives in an assisted living. The only phone calls she makes are to me her only daughter and occasionally a nephew. She doesn't know how to text message. Without warning her account was canceled. It had nothing to do with payment because she has automatic withdrawals. After doing a lot of digging I found out that she was accused of traffic pumping. I've Googled it and read it but I still don't really understand what it is. I checked her telephone just to make sure that it wasn't sitting in her purse bumping against something making repeated phone calls but no. They were very few calls on her phone history. I wrote to the appropriate Department and they were really not interested in investigating to get to the bottom of what actually is going on. I can only imagine that someone has hacked her phone number or they are making some kind of mistake. So I will have to change companies. They are unhelpful and accusatory and there are much better Bargains out there anyway.
I purchased a SIM card online and tried to activate the card and it didn't work. I called boost mobile to get a refund and was told that the card they sent me was out dated the reason why it wouldn't work and I couldn't get a refund. So people please beware of boost mobile scheme of stealing your money.
Answer: I hope so. I want to join. Its not right how they steal money from hardworking people like me.
Answer: You can contact them, but do not bother, they all are trained to act like they know what they are doing but in reality they DO NOT CARE!
Answer: They are worthless. I would not ever recommend them. While their promotions are legit, their service quality sucks.
Answer: Need to change phone to another PHONE. My phone was stolen
Answer: Metro by Tmobile is definitely a step up from Boost. As with all cell phone companies in the store or on line make sure you check out reviews like You Tube before you purchase.
