Boost Mobile's reputation is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding customer service and product reliability. Customers frequently express frustration over long wait times, inadequate support, and unresolved service issues, including poor coverage and delays in order fulfillment. While some positive feedback highlights helpful individual representatives, the overall sentiment indicates a lack of cohesive support and organization within the company. Additionally, concerns about misleading information and billing practices further detract from customer satisfaction. This combination of factors suggests a pressing need for Boost Mobile to enhance its customer service protocols and improve service reliability to retain its clientele.

DONT GET BOOST ITS A JOKE, DONT GET VERIZON THERE A JOKE TOO! TAKES AN ACT OF CONGRESS JUST TO GET A DAMB SIM CARD ACTIVATED. NOW I HAVE TRANSFERED MY NUMBER AND BOOAT HAS MADEE WAIT 48 HOURS AND ATILL NOTHING NOW 8VE GOT TO GO PAY SOMEONE ELSE SO I CAN GET MY SERVICE BACK, VERIZON PREPAID WAS THE SAME THING.DONT OPT OUT OF YOUR CARRIOE FOR THESE NETWORKS...THER3 TERRIBLE AND SO IS THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Please don't get involved or spend money with this company. I wouldn't even call it a company I would call it a scampany! Free to take money and make promises they can't refill. Then as even that's not enough to throw more salt in the wound they offer half the price you're paying to the same people as you! Don't do this to yourself. They will have you pay $57 a month then offer $25 and take $25 off your credit card. After suspending your service claiming you owe $32 you can't do anything but pay. Even worse you can't even receive messages so you have to go to a store to pay $4 surcharge on top of the already $32. So $36 later overcharge for one month no adding the $30 overcharge for 12 months looks like you've been robbed for over $370 not including the other $370 they received! Common sense just switch to mint mobile your yearly bill will be $360 a year not $900 with big headaches and better coverage
Spoke to "customer service" on Saturday about my bill. I have been frozen from my bank account for charges I didn't make. Spoke with some guy who led me to believe I would be able to get an extension of a few days until I get my new card and all I had to do was call on Monday to complete the process. I called on Monday and it took them nearly an hour to tell me that an extension was not going to happen. Have been a loyal customer for more than 10 years. The one I talked to on Saturday told me it was because I was a loyal customer that the extension was possible. They lied. I was doing all this at work, had to use my half hour break and and then some only to be lied to. My boss ended up hearing part of the conversation. My boss knows I need mine and my wife's phone. My wife is medically disabled and uses her phone almost daily to speak with her doctors. She gave me a personal loan so I could pay the bill. I am grateful to my boss and disgusted by the abrupt treatment and callousness of "customer service". Absolutely will not be recommending ANYONE to boost. Quite the opposite. As soon as I can I will be moving my family ( there are 4 of us on a family plan) to another phone service who treats their customers with more respect and honesty.
Do not ever go through Boost Mobile their service is horrible you get no service anywhere in town and when you try and switch companies you're not allowed to bring your phone unless you've been with Boost Mobile for a year
Boost Mobile is full of $#*!. After 8 years being with them they cut our asses talking about some violation of voice services. WTF is violation of voice services. 8 years and not one, not one happy anniversary! BULL$#*!... Don't EVER go to boost Mobile.
I tried the 2 weeks free trial starting at the beginning of the month and paid $6 for the sim. When trial ran out on the 13th I paid in full for the next month. At the end of the month (two weeks after I paid for a full month) the service was disconnected, that's 17 days I received for paying for a full month.
When I contacted them all I could get from the unhelpful agent was that my payment is due at the end of the month even though I had receipts that I had paid in full on the 13th.
Do not use boost mobile. They will offer you a good deal then if you have autopay setup, they will take the money from your credit card when it isn't due.
They have failed on every front so far for me. I use my mobile phone to play games, and they lag me so bad, it's quite obvious there is a government agent playing man in the middle.
When I run out of data near the end of the month, I call and ask to buy more. "Sorry, we don't do that."
So basically this is a company that doesn't want to do business.
If over 10 seconds of disappeared packets at least once a minute is your idea of useful, try them out. But don't go over their monthly limit.
Also, their technical support has hung up on me numerous times.
They cannot port a number properly. They have no idea wha they are doing when it comes to transferring a number, even when it is their own device and their own SIM. Spent hours on the phone for nothing to be resolved. Will just switch carriers. Unreal. Customer support out of the US.
I got a new phone. I was getting a "No APN on the specified device" prompt several times daily. Boost told me ut's not important. I have several messaging apps all wanting to be my default but Boost could not provide any guidance. As cheap as it is, I think it's time to find a more knowledgeable provider.
My account is activated. I can send and get calls and msgs, but the phone spams with an "activate now" msg every 30-60 min. Its horridly annyoing. Ive factory reset, sim reset, nothing works. It goes off at all hours of the day with notifications to activate, even at like 3am. I checked my account, the phone is registered. I call support, theyre useless off country idiots that dont understand the issue or dont care. The response I get is "It takes 2-6 weeks". Are you serious? Its been two months.
Shout out to Yolanda who works at Boost on Central Ave. She took over an hour to work with me on a complicated phone situation. She is the BEST in the business! Go see her at her store. She will take great care of you! Thanks so much girl. I appreciate you.
I love boost mobile until they changed the app to boost one. With the new app I can't access my account to pay my bill or look at usage. Everytime I call I and ask nobody can help me I get switched to different people. If something is gonna change at least be able to help the customer to be able to access their account.I will be leaving boost mobile and going elsewhere!
Very poor customer service. I was told when they changed to 5g service it would be better but it was actually worse. I have changed carriers and have been waiting for 2 weeks for boost ro unlock my sim card that should have never been locked to start with. They have refused to unlock it causing me to be out the expense of a new phone. I have been on the phone with customer service for several days at least an hour each time and all I am told is that it takes 48 hours its been two weeks now. I have even spoke with a manager and just keep getting the same run around. This is totally unacceptable and ridiculous. No one can tell my why this is not being done. I am so fed up. Do not ever use boost mobile they are horrible to deal with.
This company is the worst lying, dishonest network I've had the displeasure of doing business with. It took me 4 months to realize I made a mistake leaving metro PCs. I switched because I wanted a new free phone. MetroPCS wasn't offering one at that time. I gave boost a try. Big mistake. Customer service is a disgusting joke. I m a senior citizen. I couldn't pay my bill online. I had to go to a boost mobile store to pay my bill every month. To make a long story short, don't waste your time with this crappy network.
I've been with Boost since January 2020, when they took over Virgin Mobile (which I was with since December 2012). I've been pretty satisfied up until the changes made November 2022.
First, they decided to shift my account to a new website, which I didn't find out until I was trying to pay my bill, and I had trouble getting it set up.
Then I find out that my due date is now technically the day before it's due, because they shut you off the day-of if you haven't paid (no longer giving you the courtesy of waiting until end of day, just first thing in the morning) so that's false advertising. Which I could ignore, since I can live without my phone for a day or two, except...
Now I find out that I'm locked into autopay... which defeats the entire purpose of having a no-contract phone. Because sometimes I need an extra day or two for my paycheck to hit before I can pay my bill.
This means I'm about to get hit with an overdraft because I get paid the day after my next due date, and won't have the money in my account.
There is no option to disable autopay or remove your payment type to prevent autopay.
Yet another irritating development is their attempts at forcing me to download a $#*!ty voicemail transcription app that has 1.9 stars in the app store with numerous complaints of it messing up voicemail services. I have no need for this app. I don't want the app. Yet I can't dismiss the download prompts, or properly access my voicemails now because they're still trying to force it on me.
Finally, despite the fact that I was receiving emails previously, my email is now listed as [my phone number]@noemailsboostmobile.com and there's no way to update or add an email.
As soon as I have the money saved up, I'm jumping ship and switching to another provider. I've been a loyal customer for years, but I've had enough of Boost and their poor choices these last few months.
I don't know what happened but ever since January the 1st, 2023 the service has been piss poor DEPLORABLE. Boost Mobile decided to "EXPAND THEIR SERVICE" but all it's done was create unnecessary extra rope to cross just to be able to get service, help on the phone and a working website. IT'S CRAP CENTRAL and I'm thinking maybe it's time for a change of service indeed.
Where do I begin? I've wasted 3 days working with employees who have been saddled with an inadequate system. I have spent hours and hours on the phone with people moving me from one department to another without addressing or fixing the problem. They have charged my account for two months when I have just begun...no one can answer that question or fix it! The last stop was with their technical department which left me with a phone that could not even make phone calls after they worked on my phone remotely! If you want to save money make sure the company has stores in your city and not just mailing you a SIM card.
Can't access your Boost app or website? Make sure to turn off your VPN, as Boost's new software does not play nice with this layer of protection. Boost help was not aware of the issue, and it's not mentioned on their website. You'll save yourself much frustration. Their rates are low, their online service confusing, physical store clerks are actually very helpful (but less convenient as you need to go there...)
I set up auto pay to make it easier. For the length of my time with them they turned my phone off stating autopay didnt work so I would call and make the payment. Them they would take the $50 out anyhow charging me $100. I would have to call and wait for someone to amswer who barely understood english. Asked me to repeat my adress city and state like 15 times. Then this latest time they took 100 out, overdrafted my bank $14 and I got charged a $35 overdraft fee, 100% becasue of them. It should be them paying it and they refuse. I cancelled my service and they refused to refund me the 50 for 1 day of service. Save time and money and frustration. Stick with Cricket
I tried to switch over to mint mobile so I call customer service to unlock my phone they told me they unlocked it so when I tried to switch over mint could not because phone was locked three more times and 42 dollars more never got unlocked
Answer: I hope so. I want to join. Its not right how they steal money from hardworking people like me.
Answer: You can contact them, but do not bother, they all are trained to act like they know what they are doing but in reality they DO NOT CARE!
Answer: They are worthless. I would not ever recommend them. While their promotions are legit, their service quality sucks.
Answer: Need to change phone to another PHONE. My phone was stolen
Answer: Metro by Tmobile is definitely a step up from Boost. As with all cell phone companies in the store or on line make sure you check out reviews like You Tube before you purchase.
