Boost Mobile's reputation is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding customer service and product reliability. Customers frequently express frustration over long wait times, inadequate support, and unresolved service issues, including poor coverage and delays in order fulfillment. While some positive feedback highlights helpful individual representatives, the overall sentiment indicates a lack of cohesive support and organization within the company. Additionally, concerns about misleading information and billing practices further detract from customer satisfaction. This combination of factors suggests a pressing need for Boost Mobile to enhance its customer service protocols and improve service reliability to retain its clientele.

My resent experience with Boost customers service was horrible. They all foreign one blatantly lied to me and say I couldn't speak to a supervisor they have to same tool he has. I had to ask you this line is record for training purposes. Anyway here is a little of the back story. On 4/9 I changed my phone bill online to a cheaper plan. When I did it the plan changed but the autopay payment for the old plan was still due. The next day boost tap my debit call for the auto payment it declined. So later around 2:30 ish I go to a local Boost store. I explain my situation to the nice lady. She says she see what I did but don't understand why it's saying the old payment. I was told to pay the new plan and wait for the to expire that night. So I did by 3:30 my service was suspended. I called customer support and went back to the store. The nice lady was busy help customers so I wait. While waiting I'm speaking with a foreign customer support representative. She says their system went down because of an update. She couldn't access my account call back in a hour. The nice lady system went down a few minutes after while helping customer. So I wait an hour, just to be told to same thing. Now I'm frustrated I call back there system seem to be working the rep seen and told me everything thing I did with my account. It just didn't update because to system was still up dating. So with a sigh of relief think everything will be fine in the morning. The next morning comes and my service still suspended now I'm frantically calling. This is when I was lied to wasn't supportive at all. After talking to so many foreign customer support representatives from boost for hours the store finally opened. I had to pay the remainder of the old plan to start new plan. But I got the new plan coverage. Basically Boost got me for my money I'm switching next month. The bad part about all this is I've been with Boost for 10 years plus. I alway recommend people to Boost bragging about my services I just recommended a friend last week to Boost. Now they trash after all these years and great service.
I made a double payment back in January I called Boost told them to cancel the credit card payment and made a payment with my debt card on Monday they sent me a text stating that I needed to make a payment before my device got shut down. On Tuesday I I couldn't make a phone call or receive a phone they shut my phone completely down and made my number inactive, I called them they said I ha a charge back and I need to make a payment and they need to talk to my credit card company I told them I have proof that this was taken care of from my bank and the credit card company they said they see the payment but I need to make a 50.00 payment which I did and my service won't be back on for 24-72hours. Today is 96 hours and I still don't have service and they said there is nothing they can do for me. This phone is how I work how when Im home my only way to call the ambulance for my handicapped son and they keep saying they can't help me and they wont credit me for the loss of service which is there fault. And no one has a Manager and you can't get in touch with anyone at head quarters. I was a fool for going back to this silly $#*! Service.
A third rate MVNO, maybe the worst cell service company I have ever dealt with. Waited a while to insert my SIM card, when I did it would not make any calls or get data. I tried a different Boost sim in the same phone and it worked perfect. I called Boost 3 times and chatted once, I went through some very insipid troubleshooting steps (turn on, turn off etc). Each call, I was eventually told that their internal system was down and I would need to call back. After 3 calls, I tried chatting and after a 10 minute chat, was told I would have to go to a store to replace the sim. Not sure why they insisted on wasting my time if they cant do anything about it. About 90 minutes on the phone and 15 minutes of chat, I realized this has been a total waste of time. Will not be doing business with them anymore.
Poor customer service And Inability to troubleshoot. Unable to answer basic questions Standard response system is updating. For the past week no one's been able to access my plan Nor tell me if the Upgrades had been met or were my funding is at. Absolutely ridiculous. My next website serch is the Better Business Bureau
I have been with Boost for many years. In the past year or so, I have had a ton of issues. Customer service is no help. They tell me to fix it on their website and the stores are shut out of of the loop.
I hit my limit and want out. I tried to go to their competitor. I quickly found out my phone was locked. I called the customer center and was told it was locked and because they are in transition, there was no hope of getting MY PROPERTY back from them. I have to buy a new phone to get away from the company. I have an electronic glitch on my phone and can't risk losing a program on the phone with a new device. I have no voice-mail ability but rhey can send me messages about upgrading it for more money per month. I can't wait to dump Boost.
I bought a phone paid cash in full 6 months later due to very poor service, dropped called, unable to send pictures via text, unable to get/receive calls, system always down so your unable to pay your bill even in store, then they shut my phone off because I couldn't pay even in store because the system was down. Tried to change carriers and found out boost has the phone locked. Called to try and get it unlocked talked to multiple people over several days that said the phone was unlocked IT IS NOT! The last time I was told they don't have the tools to unlock the phone because of a security breach in February...I looked it up while on the phone with the rep because he said "you can look it up on Google" so I did, I then told him that was in 2019 NOT this year. Boost refuses to unlock the phone that was bought and paid for in full at a Boost store. The Boost store employee where I bought the phone also said they can not unlock the phone.
Boost said their new 5G network with t-mobile will not work on my samsung s10e and for some reason they are not able to unlock it. 14 months later I requested my current to be unlocked from march 9 2023 to now April 8 2023. Each rep would have a different story. It got excalated to their matter specialist depth 4 times. Each time wait 48 to 72 hrs with no progress. The other 4 times never happened (never got excalated). One day one would say, oh your phone is totally unlocked on our end. The next day, oh its still locked and we're really really really sorry. The last one said call samsung and have them unlock it. I called and samsung can't unlock it because it's locked to boost network. Samsung says boost dont want to unlock it because they will lose customers so they lie to their customers. I don't recommend boostmobile to anyone for dishonesty and lies and also scamming their customers. Everyone need to take their business money to any other carrier other than boostmobile. This my last month with this dishonest rip off company.
You need to at least make sure your customer service rep can speak English and be understood. Very frustrating. Leaving boost for a company I can understand
Told me to icould port number call them and get new # ported 1 number off family plan had 2weeks service left and $127 credit called them for new number they canceled my credit to
I damaged my phone and I am paying for service and insurance monthly. However I am unable to file a claim. They cant find me in the system yet they can find me for my monthly payments. It is disgusting! Give me your money but nothing else. I have epilepsy and I am going without a phone because the Boost reps are lazy. Despicable!
I ordered new service online. $25/month unlimited with annual contract (prepaid). Bought compatible telephone. When received SIM card unable to activate online (their systems were fully down for one month and their sole phone number didn't work). Eventually directed to local Boost Mobile store.
They couldn't activate the phone, claiming the phone doesn't work in their system, the SIM I received from Boost Mobile doesn't work, and the annual plan isn't available, only $50/month available. Thus, they sold me a new phone and signed me up for the more expensive monthly plan. Thus, it costs me a new phone and an extra $300 for annual service.
Then after being informed of their violation of the FTC, four weeks later they refuse to correct their overcharges (still claim eight weeks after their systems were hacked on February 26, they can't activating my original phone and give me a refund.
They are a good candidate for class action suit.
I ordered the phone received the phone went to activate it and all I got was our systems are down went on to live chat and they said our systems are down we cannot activate your phone at this time it's been two and a half months since their systems have been down and I still haven't had my phone that they sent me brand new activated yet so I'm sitting with the phone can't get service can't get any customer service representative on the phone and it just goes to that stupid chat that is basic questions and they go around in circles do not and I repeat do not invest in this company
I've had Boost Mobile Service for many years. My login required a Pin Code (4-digit). Now I'm required to have an 8-character password. I was never notified of the change, provided a mechanism to change over, so now I can't login to change the password. I tried the store employee and she knew nothing, even about Phones. I tried the website for customer service, and got a chat with artificial non-intelligence. So I called customer support for answers but got none. I'm leaving gone from Boost. James Crawford. April 3,2023.
Boost Mobile is the worst wireless company in the world if you're in the United States absolutely do not use this company or purchase a phone from them. Their main headquarters is not in the United States it's in Honduras. All of their phones that were purchased from China or programmed before sold to the consumer in the United States with a special programming for crooks opposition domestic terrorist so that they can do fraud and screw people over while you're sitting there wondering why is my phone acting this way. If you don't believe me go purchase a phone from boost Mobile anywhere go into the root menu and look how different it is from every other carrier or even an unlocked phone it will make you frustrated angry I cannot believe that the FCC continues to allow this company to operate.
I've been with Boost for years. Overall good service until recently.
I have the family plan (2 lines). My son's phone was stolen so I purchased a replacement at the store. We both waited in the store for the clerk to cancel the stolen one and activate the new one. While we were waiting, I received an email informing me that a family member had left the family plan and that my new balance would be less due to there only being 1 line on the account. I showed it to the clerk and she called customer service. She then t told me that they said for me not to worry about it because they were transferring phone lines to a new system and that the reason I received the email was because mine was transferred already but the other one hadn't been yet. 3 days passed and I still hadn't received an email showing the correction, and being concerned about how to pay the bill that was due the next day, I called customer service to ask. After speaking with 2 different reps, I finally found one that spoke English clearly enough to be understood. This one told me that boost didnt have a family plan anymore. The rep.the next day told me that it would be transferred before my bill was due. The next day being the due date (and unable to accomplish anything through customer support,) I went back to the store to try on their end again. This time a different clerk called her supervisor who informed her that I would be given a credit for the other line which would keep it on if it wasn't transferred after the due date. I paid the bill and left. It's now the day after and my sons phone, (that he depends heavily on for his job) is now shut off. Called customer service one last time and was told that it takes 24 to 48 hours to transfer the line. I told him it's been 6 days.
I'M DONE
The worst. I cancelled my account with them and they continued to steal money for me for following months and it's like asking for a kidney to get refunds! Everyone is dumb and looks like I'm taking Boost Mobil to court. Cya wankers in the court room!
Recently my phone was shut off.according to the untrained techs answering theyre phones...it was because I requested suspension of services. No,I did not. I have over 35 calls logged in regarding this issue.th e account is paid in full plus 50$credit.Twice I was overbilled.charged for a family plan for $164 and again for $120. My bill is 35$ month. My bank retieved the $120 amount and the $164 amount was credited to my account. I have been told by seeral employees it was all because of a cyber attack...then I was told on 4 occassionsI would have services back in 1 hour...This occured over a span of six days. Today an awful woman told me it was my fault because I had my bank reverse the last 120$ payment. I violated the rules...excuse me...you cant just keep dipping into my account giving me credit...for services I did not request...I call that theft. I would never recommend them to anyone
Bought two phones a month ago. $400 wasted. Had 2g not 5g service I paid for. Called for the entire month, for two weeks has a recording bf their systems are down. When I finally reached customer service they could not even find my account. Yet they cut me off for non payment. Why would I pay? Tried to get my carrier unlocked to switch my phone service, they still can't because their system is not fully restored. They can't restore my service or give me a credit. But they can take my money and restore it then. That's BS! WORST COMPANY EVER!
Danger danger danger! Boost is going under. When have you ever seen those two phones a Moto g stylus 128 GB of storage for $9.99 and then they have a Samsung that is an outrageous price for $9.99 and unlimited plan I pay $60 for my plan the highest one now they have that one for $25 a month for life. Boost is going under anybody who buys those phones are locked in there they are scrambling getting as much money as they possibly can pennies nickels dimes they don't care that's why all their phones are under beware shut up
I wish I can truly explain how frustrated I felt when my auto pay didn't go through and I had to pay manually and still fail to get working service. Talked to 3 different customer representative in regards to same problem and got very different answers. Got promised one thing and did receive it. Had to change phone provider after using boost for 8 years I just can't deal with them no more. Dishonest company with slick techniques that only create more problems. I truly hope boost will go out of business cause they don't deserve to be around.
Answer: I hope so. I want to join. Its not right how they steal money from hardworking people like me.
Answer: You can contact them, but do not bother, they all are trained to act like they know what they are doing but in reality they DO NOT CARE!
Answer: They are worthless. I would not ever recommend them. While their promotions are legit, their service quality sucks.
Answer: Need to change phone to another PHONE. My phone was stolen
Answer: Metro by Tmobile is definitely a step up from Boost. As with all cell phone companies in the store or on line make sure you check out reviews like You Tube before you purchase.
