“READ THE FINE PRINT - THEY WILL SCREW YOU”

Jerry W.

Just be sure to read the reviews, they will screw you. They hide fee's and do not individually layout information. IE they hide the refund policy under "Trip Insurance" as in you need to purchase Trip Insurance to qualify for a refund even if you want to cancel your trip in an appropriate time frame otherwise they steal your money. Jennifer Rivera - Customer Care Manager will tell you so sad, too bad.

Starts with robocall claiming to be marriot with free trip offer. When the call switches to human they reveal that they are not marriot and are actually Book vip all inclusive which is a scam company. This supposedly free trip all of sudden requires money and turns out to a scam. There are enough horror stories around the web for these guys. Call them at *******261‬ show you love for the scammers. They are piece of $h! T cockroaches.

Worst travel site ever! We bought one last Black Friday. Total scam, the resorts won't let you upgrade or change rooms. All a scam to get you to a timeshare arm-twisting.

Scammer, after I booked my reservation online and put my credit info they force me to call an 1800 number to confirm my reservation, and started from here, the lady on the phone was asking too many questions as its a new job interview, and a lot of questions has nothing to do booking a trip, also telling me I will need to attend to some orientation for 2 hours when arriving at my vacation which sounds so stupid, so I told her I need to cancel and she said will be no charge for my credit card, the same day at night I got alert on my phone that my credit was tried to be used somewhere online for $221, and I had to freeze my card and order a new one.
This thing is nothing but a scam, stay away. This thing is no thing but scam, stay away.

Absolutely horrid experience- stay far away! We booked them for a vacation last year and couldn't use it so took the the credit. This year went to plan our vacation in the beginning of June and picked secrets vallarta bay in puerta Vallarta. We used our $600 credit and payed $569 additional for our trip. We have worked with these crooks at bookvip before so know how they run. We know they call you a few days after you book to collect resort fees. We didn't get a call so called them back to make sure we were still good to go for our dates and trip and they confirmed yes. They said they would send an email to the hotel to call us and collect the resort fees. We still never heard anything so called to confirm two more times- one being a week before our trip because we were starting to get anxious about it all. The lady I spoke to on Tuesday(the week before our trip) assured me multiple times again that we were fine and would hear from them by Friday. I told her I didn't want to taut that long because that would only leave us two days to figure the trip out if something went wrong. She said no, your already booked and good to go so no need to worry. Well get this- I get a call on Wednesday from the resort saying they have been on hold with bookings through bookvip for a while because they are too booked up. So bookvip knew this but kept telling us we were good. 7 days before our trip we find out we aren't booked and now have plane tickets to a place that we can't go too. They said they would look for another option, but guess what- they couldn't find any available dates since it was only a week away. We spent about $3000 for everything- our plane tickets, our dog and cat boarding, babysitters for our kids and now can't go. They will only refund us $596 too. Not the other $600 credit I had... they said that can only be used as credit. I was so livid because the least they could do after confirming our trip over and over and not addressing our concerns until a week before and then all of a sudden telling us we couldn't go because there are no reservations: like I ever would work with them again- now I have spent all this money and they won't even refund the credit to make up
For some of the cost since it was their fault. I can't believe it. I own my own business and would never treat anyone like this. This company is full of crooks and terrible people - don't ever go through them. I'm a photographer and refer people to them all the time and will never do so again. I will tell everyone to stay far away from their corrupted ways.

They couldn't help me because my emails went to their spam and that was apparently my fault. All three customer service agents told me different things and wouldn't help me. They were extremely rude and condescending. I would never trust them.

This review is about our unfortunate experience with bookvip.com and 2 Cancun resorts that literally ruined our vacation, my birthday and our naive expectations this July.
It is mainly about Villa Del Palmar, a timeshare scam company that will try to rip you off. They have contract with bookvip.com that will offer you $99 5 day/6 night accommodation in "all inclusive resort". BEWARE! It is a trap and huge scam! Eventually this $99 stay will come up to almost $400 with all additional fees here and there. What is the most frustrating you will be placed in the worst resort (can't even call this place a resort) in Cancun which will be not all inclusuve, you will be placed in the outdated, dirty, mold smelling room with no room service and the worst or should I say absent customer service at resort with terrible tasteless food, non English speaking personnel, rats on the property and high risk of getting either stomach flu or food poisoning which all our family eventually got. Remember the name of this stinky place OASIS CANCUN LITE or OASIS CANCUN GRAND which is the same thing. STAY AWAY and save your vacation. THE WORST resort in Cancun!
The purpose of this so called deal is to take you to their time share presentation which by the way is held outside of Oasis Cancun which is understandable. I don't think there is still a fool born on this planet who would buy a timeshare in this hell spot. To get to their presentation you will have to take about 30 minute taxi drive to almost Isla Blanca, scarcely populated area which looks like ghetto place when you drive closer to it.
When you get to the spot they will take you to the breakfast buffet and start showing the property and the rooms. When shown on the contrast with stinky Oasis Cancun, their property Villa Del Palmar looks great, but they do it on purpose just to play on that contrast. If you look closer there is nothing really special about that resort, there is almost no entertainment for the guests, you can't get out of the hotel for a walk because it is in a ghetto area and it is not all inclusive (all inclusive option will cost around $100 per pay per person, for a family of 4 that will be $400 and that does not include the accommodation), the ocean is dirty. Every time you will eat in one of the restaurants they will bring you a check to sign, even if you paid for all inclusive package. The money they charge for their average timeshare package is way too much and is literally a rip off. When we added all the numbers, the amount was close to $5000 per year and that was excluding food and airfare fees. You can find much better deals for this kind of money and not be stuck to one resort. Anyway we made a mistake and purchased their timeshare mainly because it was my birthday and we did not want to return to that awful Oasis Cancun Lite with 2 kids. We were also promised that if we became their timeshare members, they would give us a bedroom suite on their property for the rest of our stay in Cancun plus all inclusive package. That was another reason we got persuaded to buy. When we slept on it and added all the numbers we understood we made a huge mistake and on the 2nd day of our stay their we decided to cancel. We carefully read a contract and one of the provisions in it was that you can cancel within 5 business days after your purchase. PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND AND DO NOT BELIEVE THEM IN THEY TELL YOU OTHERWISE! You can cancel if you wish so.
So we came to their office and let them know we wanted to cancel. Of course they said that our package was not eligible for cancelation. Yeah right! It is all there in writing! After a couple of hours and talking to at least 5 different people they finally agreed to proceed with cancelation however! With one condition. We were supposed to pay $1200 for 2 nights we spent in their resort! $1200! Unbelievable! So we had no choice but to pay this crazy amount. We were happy to get rid of this time share. We were also told that unfortunately we had to go back to Oasis Cancun Lite and all of a sudden nobody was so friendly anymore. They said we could still stay on the property till the end of the day and continue taking advantage of all inclusive package we paid $600 per day. Ok, we decided to stay at the pool, ordered lunch (2 salads, guacamole and 1 cheese pizza) and at the end of the day we were approached by one of the waiters who asked us to pay $90 for our lunch because as he said all inclusive deal was over at 3 PM and we ordered a little later than 3. Ridiculous!
So please beware and stay away from these guys!

This travel booking site has very aggressive sales tactics for a time share broker. All the properties seem to be legitimate but given their Marketing tactics I would shy away from them. I receive one call/day between 4:30-4:45PM and they always claim to be Hilton or Marriott but they are NOT. The last few days, I sit through their scripted speech just to confirm their identity. They now just hang up on me after the greeting. I can only hope for the day the calls will stop. Meanwhile, I would like to warn others.

Tip for consumers:
This is basically a time share company. As a time share owner myself, I find it much more economical to buy from an on-line marketplace then to buy a newly deeded property.
