Ordered spark plugs that said qty of 4. Only came with one. After talking to costumer service, they said that has been a major complaint. Asked why it did not state that in the description, she could not give an answer. It wasn't stated in the description because they have been taking advantage of people because they know most people won't go through the hassle of sending them back. Not a very good business decision.
I ordered parts more than a week ago and they're not here. In fact I called to add a couple parts an hour or so after hitting the button and they said it already shipped. We like your site and availability, but I'm not sure if we can afford this turnaround time. All of our other suppliers are 2-3 days
I ordered my parts on 25 March payed for expedited shipping called Wednesday 3 March said 1 part out of 12 was on back order, I ask why you not do partial shipment they said it would be that day, I checked the next day in afternoon and still not shipped called back asked why it did not ship like I was told the day before said it would ship that day, the next day it finally shipped out...why did you not send what you had in stock instead of waiting for a clamp.

I wasn't pleased to find the spark plugs I ordered shipped in just a plastic bag no cushion or bubble wrap not sure if I'll order from here again

Boats.net was my go to before as their prices were fair and parts would show quickly when paid for expedited shipping. Parts used to come next day or may two days after ordered, now they show up 3-5 days after shipped even when I pay for expedited shipping(1-3 days). Wish they would go back to ups shipping and make their customers happy again.

Ordered the part I needed and it was correct. However, it turns out we already had a repair kit. I would like to return it but cannot figure out how to request a return. Frustrating.

Ordered oil change kit for my Yamaha outboard on 06/24/2022. Kit did not arrive until 07/08/2022. Item was shown to be in stock at the time order was placed, but was actually on back order from the supplier. Boats.net normally ships out next day (delivered here in Texas within 1 week), so it would have helped if availability had been accurate on the website. Phone help was not realistic with 1 hour+ wait times. Finally received news on back order via email.
Being a full service marina with sales, service, rentals and storage we purchase most of the items we need directly from the manufactures. Occasionally we need parts for a brand we are not direct with. We signed up with boats.net and they gave us a "commercial" account with discounts appropriate with our business. However, they took away our commercial discount and started charging us tax because we "didn't purchase enough" from them. So the shade tree repair service who isn't direct with anyone but has a tax id number ends up getting a better discount than the full service dealer that is trying to take care of his customers. What's wrong with this picture?

Staff is very helpful on the phone and the website parts diagrams are great. Shipping isnt very efficient. Was slow and delayed from the stated tracking arrival. For less money USPS could have it to me in 3 days instead of the 8 days it took UPS...

I bought from them a rectifier (55$) but it didn't work. I sent them a message to proceed to en exchange. They answered me they couldn't do anything and that THERE WAS NO WARRANTY from them and I had to see with a retailer. A real scandal!

In the past 3 try's to order parts I have had problems with staff quitting and leaving my order in answered and a continuing problem with my company credit card even tho it works for everyone else. George in sales has been the only one in sales that has preformed at a professional level.

Been using Boats.Net for years and for the most part they have been very reliable. Good genuine factor parts and fair shipping. I especially like the parts breakdown diagram so I know I'm ordering the right stuff. But recently, I am still waiting on an order placed weeks ago. When the order was placed, the advised lead time was 4 - 6 days, but no parts and no followup explanation. Boats.Net did charge me for the parts even though they did not deliver. Disappointing!
Tip for consumers:
Beware when the order says "ships in 4 - 6 days". If it states "in stock" all is good.

Ordered a few parts, paid extra for faster shipping. Immediately received an email stating pandemic is slowing things down, understandable. Took 5 days to ship. Got around to installing the parts and one was bad, sent an email that took a week to get a response on, but was positive, they were going to ship out another. 15 days later, I received notification it has shipped. So, I ordered the parts to get on the water, a month later I am no closer. No issues with customer service, issue is with time. A month says they are completely overwhelmed or they are selling what they don't have in stock.
