I met my wonderful future husband on this site. I had to go through some "wrong" ones for 8 months. I was about to give up. He is amazing wedding spring of 2023!

Compared to the other sites BlackPeopleMeet.com is better after all. They returned every cent that was owed to me. My previous opinion was made prematurely. I moved on to other sites and was even more disappointed in their ability to connect me with any Black males. So, if you are a Black woman looking for a Black man, my sisters - stay with BlackPeopleMeet.com - you will have more of chance to connect with one. With the other sites, I have had more luck just walking down the street, or through the park.

After rumbling through a few profiles, one stuck out with a question... Do I work for transit? Lol Talking to him was like having a twin sister, we clicked instantly with our personalities, interests in same things, etc. Sometimes you gotta be patient and the right one will find you.

Pretty famous dating site for african americans, maybe the biggest. I really like the way its all set up, nice and simple to use and really easy to find find someone to chat with. Will stick with it for now and may add up a second option, BlackSingles4u, as a couple of friends have been using it and they are pretty satisfied. For now four stars. Don't see any 'scam evidence' yet.

I don't know why y'all complain about BlackPeopleMeet?! You ain't gonna find a better site except for BlackSingles4u maybe. You get out what you put in. BlackPeopleMeet ain't that bad.

Been using numerous dating sites. Aske me, Blackpeoplemeet is rate one of the best as far as being a legit w/no scammer, hackers. Etc. I still had some doubt when I signed up a few weeks ago and I was getting crap full of message just like the fake dating sites. But after chatting a while I was sent three phone numbers and two emails for direct contact. Im a sneaky person when it comes to paid dating scams. Blackpeoplemeet ain't no scam for sure. Also worth checking out is Blacksingles4u. Same story different site. Crap full of messages when u sign up but legit option.

I feel this site is better for African American women compared to others. Yes you will find yourself attracted to some individuals and to each is own but when you have men constantly throwing themselves at you in a sexual manner It's annoying. You Should follow your heart and also take your brain with you. Be careful giving contact information out right away. Most guys that are truly into you will be patient and wait. Compared to another site I found that most white males who claimed to date outside of their race were only curious. Most of them looked at African American women as sex experiments. They will tell you right away that they like big butts and some from oversea are worse. They already know that they have no desire to date/marry outside of their culture. Some use these sites as playgrounds with no intentions of developing anything more then a fling.So I returned back to bmp no one is perfect and yes you have people who are full of crap but I would rather take my chances here instead of a site with men pursuing a fetish. This is spoken from someone who married outside of her race with a child from that marriage. All I can say is be safe on any site and use common sense hope this helps someone.

My now husband and I saw each other on black people meet back in 2008. The month was March. Previously I was in a situation with someone else where our future together was hopeless. I was a single mom wanting to meet someone and not sure exactly what I was looking for. All I know is that I wanted to meet a guy around 5 foot 5 or 6 with a dark complexion. I met about 3 guys and one had potential but we stopped talking abruptly. I came across one that never went away. We web canned back then and he sent clothes to my home to ensure I was who I said I was. We lived in different states so he came to see me. From our meeting we continued to see each other. Before we got engaged he said you will be my wife and I laughed. Today we have been married 9 years.

All Good on this site if there wasn't so many stuck-ups. Thats why some of them need too be unhappy. This for the happy people.

It is really hard to think of a better black dating site than this one. Only site which may be an alternative is BlackSingles4u.com but forget the rest. So I am surprised to read all those negative reviews and I believe that most of the guys leaving bad comments have no idea what they talkin' about. I like the site a lot and after spending years on several black dating sites (avoid the 100% free sites, they are just a waste of time) I know that there are only two or three worth joining sites and this is one of them. Period!

Not perfect but good. If u weren't lucky u may wanna use blacksingles4u highly recommend it. My opinion: u can't meet someone using one of those two sites u should really just go out and meet people in a bar. In that case online datin is just not for u. My opinion Those are the only 2 sites worth joining, forget the rest.

Beware ladies. He lives in Milwaukee with his mother and a huge con artist. Plays on your weakness for you to take care of him. All I can say is run!

I was on this site for about 7 months, on and off. I got on in February '18. Met a couple of guys for dates. I was selective in who I contacted, and they turned out to be legit. They were people well-employed in the DelMarVa area. I then met one that I dated exclusively for about 4 months, after which we mutually agreed to stop seeing each other. Then, I got back on for a final month in Sept '18. I met four guys in that period. Two were definitely looking for a hook-up on the first date. However, it is up to you as a woman (or man) to let people know that is not going to happen. Some want to continue to see you after you say no. Others will not call again. I did have a lovely time with the guy I dated for 4 months. Got a nice vacation trip out of it. You just have to be selective in who you contact and know that some women have evidently been talking on the phone to guys on this site for a while, and when they meet up, they have sex with them. You can't know someone well enough to have sex with them just because you talked on the phone a few times. Beware.

Plenty of male h**s to chop it up with. Dont have to bother with conversation. Just keep turnin and burnin. If you can dig it jump on there.

I must say I thought it was just another stupid site full of random creepies. I had a free account for months, weird guys lurking on my profile, and I wasn't even fully ready for a relationship when I made an account. I'd just got out of what I thought was my forever relationship of 10 years... actually my mom paid for the site for a month. I had no intentions on finding love on here just a bit of dating fun. The day I subscribed to the site is the day my new love messaged me. I'm currently still with him a year later. We now have a baby and plan to marry later on. And the funny thing which it's really not funny... is that he isn't black. Not that you have to be black on the site but that's kinda the idea to meet fellow black people and I met a white man lol. But love knows no color, sex or age. It wasn't an easy year for us, we almost split, but we pulled thru and we have a lot more happy to experience together. We are better together than apart, and we learned that lesson the hard way. I'm happy with my man and my baby.
You can find love on here when you aren't looking. What you put in is what you get out.

I get a lot of emails from men on this site compared to white-oriented sites, such as Match and EHarmony. Most of the Black men on the mainstream sites don't email me; they want non-Black or light-skinned Black women.
I am flattered with all the emails from brothers who appreciate the beauty of my brown skin. During the year that I have been a member of this site, I have dated no one. This is because I screen out men. He has to live near me and be at least 5'8". Unfortunately, most of the men who email me are significantly shorter than that.

I joined the site in march 2013 and talked to a man for a while who ended up being married with children. I then talked to another man who was very attractive had an amazing job but believed a woman should wait on him hand and foot and shouldn't have tattoos in certain places and should do exactly what he said which completely turned me off. Then I talked to a man who I was interested in and he stopped taking to me because he said I wasn't moving quick enough. I took an 8 month break from the site and still had the same crazy men still hiring on me and cussing me out until I responded I also had the same man who said I wasn't moving quick enough try and talk to me again but I wasn't having it. Then a couple days later I met a man who I had a conversation With For A Few days and then we exchanged numbers. We talked for a month before meeting but when we did it was an instant connection. I felt like I had known him forever. Not really sure why everyone's complaining about BPM. Seems like people have absolutely no clue how hard it is to find a reputable black dating community. No complaints so far. Site is easy to use, many members. BPM and BlackSingles4u are the best dating sites in this category.

Joined BPM a few months ago and in my opinion it is one of the best. Since I started using dating sites I've tried BlackSingles4u, BlackPeopleMeet and BlackCupid. BlackCupid was the only one I did not like that much. Don't know why, just not my type of site. But BPM and BlackSingles4u are really legit. No idea why everyone's throwing s$$$ at BPM. Just my 2cents.
