Robotic responses with no common sense
August 20, 2024

Back in March I use their product for the first time after unboxing it having bought it several months prior in preparation for my aging dog. When I did finally use it, it damaged my carpet and immediately I reached out to them and tried to figure out if it was something that I had done wrong or anything like that and they decided to open a claim without my request or acknowledgment. After doing this it made it so that I couldn't file a homeowner's claim for the carpets that were damaged or even a warranty claim through the carpet company. I proceeded to keep working with them and despite them requesting that I make time for them to call me. They never did make the phone calls and then after getting transferred several times to different people because supposedly they kept asking to let the person go. I finally got someone that did absolutely nothing but drag his feet and make excuses and ridiculous offers. After a month of them not doing anything and me having to eventually let them know I was going to replace the carpet because it was in my office and it impacted my business as customers obviously could see the giant stain and they acknowledged it but afterwards then tried to say that I did not give them appropriate time and they wanted me to look into redying the carpet. I did so post facto and it would have been just as expensive to do that as it was to replace the carpet and there is only one guy in my area that does it and he even said that he probably couldn't have matched my carpet due to the complexity of the colors. After sending all of this into their customer service, they refused to acknowledge it and continued to make offers to refund me for the damages at less than 20% of the cost. Furthermore, keep mind, I had already had to send in my machine and then they waited until 2 months in to request the formulas expecting me to just keep it and then when I inform them that I have thrown it out they made it out like it was my fault and when I even made the valid point that the label they had sent me to send in my machine did not include any liquids to be sent. They refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing and continued to put it off on me. And then when I did get my machine back I proceeded to videotape me unboxing it and using it on a test fabric at which time it spout water out of its electrical sockets. And when I let them know that this was a thing and I attempted to send them the video. They not only didn't want it. They just acknowledged the fact that this happened sometimes and they put the machines together wrong but that doesn't allow them to accept any responsibility or culpability towards the damages of carpets because there's no way that they could put together a machine that could damage something even though shooting water out of electric sockets is completely. After months of robotic responses, I finally got the better Business bureau involved and they have continued to do the exact same thing where they just continuously request the same receipts and the same statements. Even though everything's been provided, I would not do business with these guys. If someone told me this was the only company to clean my carpets, I would go out and get a scrub brush and do it myself.

Video added but first couple of minutes cut out so that I could make the size requirements per this site.

Made in China - false advertising
July 14, 2022

Hi Bissell Australia,
I want my money back. I will go to consumer law, go to the media, and seek legal advice and sue for false advertising.

Is Bissell vacuum Made in USA?
Bissell Inc., also known as Bissell Homecare, is an American privately owned vacuum cleaner and floor care product manufacturing corporation headquartered in Walker, Michigan in Greater Grand Rapids.
Like a lot of well-intentioned people who plan on having a relaxing Saturday, we didn't really mean to start cleaning—it just happened. In 1876, Melville R. Bissell and his wife, Anna, were running a small crockery shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sick of constantly cleaning sawdust off the shop's carpet, Melville invented and patented a one-of-a-kind sweeper. It didn't take long for friends and customers at the shop to ask about buying the sweeper, and when they did, a new business was born.

Since 1876, our family-owned corporation has developed and created the world's best cleaning tools. From the deep-down microscopic source of your family's wheezing and sniffling to the stains, dirt and animal dander that wreak havoc on your home life. BISSELL has a home cleaning solution for you.

No where on your web page do you say your vacuum cleaners are made in China.

I don't support forcing Tibetan farmers off their land and into factories. I don't support incarcerating and torturing Ughyers and making them work as slaves. I don't support money laundering and industrial espionage, and stealing companies technology, and then undercutting them. For that reason I don't buy anything made in China. I source everything I want from around the world. I make all my own clothes from fabrics, threads and machines sourced in Europe and Japan. I purchased my lawn mower from France, I buy my cookware from Italy.

If I wanted a vacuum shampooer from China I could have bought a cheap version locally. I searched the net and spent nearly $700 specifically NOT to buy Made In China. I have assembled the vacuum shampooer but I have not used it. Imagine my shock when I turned it over and found Made in China.

I want my money back. I want you to arrange to give me back my money and collect the vacuum shampooer. I can dismantle it and put it back in its box.
I am disgusted at the false advertising. Please advise how you are going to rectify this.
