“Bing is wonderful and helpful”

David G.
2/18/23

I have been using Bing for a while now, and I must say that it is a wonderful and helpful search engine. It can answer my questions, chat with me, show me relevant results, and even generate creative content like poems and stories. It is powered by ChatGPT, a next generation version of OpenAI's GPT-3 large language model, which makes it very smart and fluent. It is also positive, interesting, entertaining and engaging. I enjoy talking to Bing and learning new things from it. I highly recommend Bing to anyone who wants to have a better online search experience.

“Bad search result. MSN.com brings up ads from string search. Really disappointed.”

Theresa M.

My search: what percent of college degrees came from online universities? Results were so-so with many, many ads from online universities showing up as top search answers. I go to msn.com to read headline news and - of course - more references about online universities. What is the point? I am not looking to give MSN for fodder for their ads.

All the major Big Tech sites don't want to pay real news media outlets a license for aggregating news, so what they started doing was sourcing content farms. Content farms are how Far Right, Far Left, fringe groups and foreign agents have been spreading disinformation in the United States. The way that it works is that someone puts up a website for dirt cheap and uses AI to whip up garbage articles filled with fake news and clickbait, or hires college kids or Third Worlders off of Fiverr, Amazon Turk or some other place to crank out B.S. Clickbait like, "Why GenZs are Terrible," "Why Boomers Destroyed the Economy," "How the Democrats are Ruining America," or "How Republicans are Bringing Back Slavery."

Many of these content farms play both sides against the middle. I posted a screenshot showing how one content farm accidentally released two articles with the exact same title on the same day, where one was meant to attack Baby Boomers and the other Millennials. The content farm is called, "From Frugal to Free," and on March 25, it published one article titled, "22 Reasons Millennials are Ruining the Economy," and another one on the same day titled, "20 Reasons Why Boomers Ruined the Economy."

Some of the content farms in question:

The Washington Examiner (run by college kids)
Knewz
Wealthy Boomers
Pulse of Pride
Stapler Confessions
Flannels or FlipFlops
Cryptopolitan
MovieWeb
ThyBlackMan
Engineer Finances

The list goes on and on...all fly by night content farms sourced as news.

Bing is not a victim of these content farms. It's in on this scam. It allows members of the content farm to report any comment correcting the information as violating the TOS. Members of these farms also pretend to be Americans reacting to the article. So, for example, in a fake news article about "Florida removing millions off of Medicaid," teams of them will post stuff like, "Those Republican scum" (pretending to be Democrats) or vice versa, as in, "Good for Florida for getting rid of people sponging off the system."

Remember why Bing is doing this. It's doing this so it can keep up the appearance of having a news section while refusing to pay real news media outlets. Sites like Bing, Facebook, Google and others need to be criminally investigated because they have allowed these fake news content farm to flourish in the months leading up to the presidential election.

I'm sorry to say that (like Google) Microsoft has ruined their 'search' engines because Bing no longer 'honors' search operators. Now, Bing doesn't even recognize quotes... the parser switches the words around to give the results opposite to the stated query. It's been a while since "-" (NOT) and "+" (MUST INCLUDE) have worked... I've had a few instances where "-(word)" will NOT include 'word' in parentheses in a query... and usually includes 'word' as if the query was written as "+word".
Search engine that don't recognize and 'honor' search operators should NOT be called "search engine".
That should also include all of the other 'search engines' that use Bing and/or Google Search as a basis, like DuckDuckGo, etc.

Tip for consumers:
Still looking for a search engine that 'honors' search operators.

Products used:
None, since most 'search engine' use Google and Bing... ignoring search operators.

Whenever I search for my rewards daily objectives it freezes up and you have to close it several times to get it to work. Really dislike using Bing.

I used to love this place. That all changed the day we had someone hit us and run in thier extremely small parking lot. This company has not helped us at all. They told us to make a policy report because they have footage of the ahole who hit us. We made the report and tried to call botanica 4 times with no answer to the phone. So long story short, you better hope you don't get hit in the small parking lot because they will not be any help.
Shame on you Botanica. My husband was an extremely loyal customer that will never come back and neither will I. I also will be spreading the word on every social media platform possible. You people need to do better.

I have a virus in google chrome that forces me to use bing. For this reason, I WILL NEVER USE IT! NOT EVER! If you need to hijack my current browser to get me to use yours, then it must not be very good. Search Marquis is the virus and it's super annoying.

Why M I paying for Bing if I'm going to watch ads? This company like other are charging customers for Tv shows and Movies, but they are adding so many ads on that is a joke, they need to choose where they would like to get they money from... Do you want to make money from membership or from commercial advertising?... Take your pick... It is unfair!

Stay away! PLEASE Read before you buy!
I purchased a 2019 landrover discovery with 80,000km from this dealership on Feb 6th and it broke down and left me stranded on Feb 17th. I had it 11 days!
I called the dealership immediately and the sales guy Nico told me that because I got a deal on the car that I'm on my own. He refused to let me tow it back to their dealership!
The car went into limp mode and my partner felt it was transmission fluid issues. I asked my sales person if this had been inspected and filled up and he responded yes!
I had it towed to the Landrover Dealership in Ajax. They gave me a scary quote stating the transmission had to be completely replaced. I called the dealership and sent emails/texts since they didn't answer the phone. They said they wanted it towed to a "normal" mechanic. I did another tow even when planet motors refused to pay the tow fee and still refused to have my car back to their own on site mechanic. I towed it to Fast Auto Concepts in Oshawa where they informed me that the transmission had next to no fluid at all! This is why the car went into limp mode. I was also informed the NOX sensor had to be replaced.
I am now out of pocket almost $4,000 plus my car is still in the shop and I used up all my CAA tow privileges.
So here is the real kicker….11 days I had this car. When I went to pick it up they didn't get me to pay the balance there and stated they would send me the invoice for the balance. They transferred the car into my name and gave me the keys. Since this all happened they have now realized they didn't send me the invoice.
So instead of standing behind their vehicle like their website states I actually start getting messages from the sales person Nico threatening a lien on the car and repo by 5pm that day if I don't pay the balance owed.
When I refused to pay until my car issues were identified fully and a discussion about how to cover those costs for my nonfunctioning car I then get emails from the actual dealership owner Toni Sultzberg now threatening to call the police and charge me with car theft! Like I stole my own car from their dealership because they didn't have me pay the balance when they signed the car over and handed me the keys. It was mind blowing.
OMVIC is now involved and investigating. They call the dealership and can't get past reception. The owner to this day has not picked up the phone for me either and only sends insulting, threatening emails.
When trying to negotiate with Nico he actually texts that this isn't his problem and that if the car had been sent to their own mechanic they could repair for less….he wouldn't let me send it back to them! I was also told I must have put gas in my diesel! Nope! Oh and I must have turned the "shift knob" wrong and that must have messed up the car. No! Transmission issues confirmed by 2 different mechanics. Still they refuse to acknowledge.
When I asked about their website stating they stand behind their vehicles, 14 day satisfaction, 3 mth warranty on power train etc….response back was that it wasn't wrote down in the purchase agreement so they do not hold themselves to it! I was told I should have checked agreement before I signed to be sure it was included.
Toni stated he has been in business for 25 years. How they are is beyond me if this is how they handle their customers and service after they take your $$$.
I saw a past negative post by an AJ on Google dated 2 mths ago. The response back from the owner screamed cover up, very condescending and he actually bashes their customer about credit. In the experience I just had and still living they seem good at twisting it around to play the victim so AJ….thank you for your honest review just as mine here just now. I have all text/emails to back up everything above. I feel your frustration because I'm living it right now.
I'm already preparing for a response to mine in a way where they will not take accountability for their behaviour and somehow come out victimized.

Stay far away from their "ART" generator it will block your CREATIVE prompts regardless of what it may be as said it has turned into the equivalent of being in a catholic school room with nuns hounding over your shoulder making sure you're not misbehaving, or you will get blocked/have a ruler to your hands.
They have taken away the very essence of what art should be unpredictable, exotic, and unexplainable.
But with every good thing must come to an end and in turn they promote hypocrisy by taking away the general world's population of FREE SPEECH by dumbing down/red taping creative minds and as an end note "what it cannot plagiarize it seeks to censor what it cannot regulate it seeks to ban"

You've got to be kidding me! No matter how much I try and delete this curse and make it stop popping up, IT KEEPS $#*!ING DOING IT! I just wanna use Google but nooooooooo! It has to keep trying to force me to use a search engine that people half jokingly call unreliable, gives me $#*!ty results (no surprise there), and that no one even likes. I probably would've given them a higher score, if they didn't try and force me to $#*!ing use it so much!

More and more I'm finding using Bing is becoming more difficult to get information about what I actually ask about. Here's a good example: I ask, "how to remove battery side cross from a phone cable." Bing's presentation was about how to clean a car battery cables. What's a car battery got to do with a phone cable?
I'll answer that for you- NOTHING! I don't like google so I've always used Bing, but the information I look for is getting more and more difficult.

SOME QUESTIONS THAT YOU ASK BING MIGHT GIVE YOU AN ACCURATE ANSWER, AND WILL HELP YOU. BUT NONETHELESS, SOMETIMES BING JUST JERKS OFF GIVING $#*! INFO. AND IT HAPPENS OFTEN TOO, I SEARCH FOR SOMETHING AND IT GIVES ME SOMETHING THAT IS NOT EVEN RELATED! GOOGLE IS WAY WAY WAY BETTER THAN BING, OR I BET EVEN INTERNET EXPLORER COULD GIVE MORE ACCURATE RESULTS. HMPH!

Tip for consumers:
use this engine for simple questions like, what is the weather, or math questions like 23+459x(/78). It will be hard for you to find information if you're going to ask a question that is a bit hard to understand or you are just bad at grammar.

Im sorry but bing kinda sucks. It's really bad the searches aren't good googles searches are a lot better and actually correct. Their reward system is very buggy and irritating to use and you have to do a lot of work to get stuff from their reward system. Overall its a very disappointing search engine.
