I have purchased 3 bikes from BikesDirect so far and am a big fan. You can order competition-grade setups at entry-level prices.
Ironically, the bikes are so great that my first two got stolen, they do look great to both the untrained eye and to those who know what each of the components is worth. The components are significantly above what you'd get at regular bike stores. I tend to have the bikes professionally assembled, but it's not really necessary - doing it yourself takes less than half an hour as all the complex parts are already pre-assembled out of the box.
My most recent purchase was a Gravity FSX Monster Eagle - what an amazing bike! Each time I ride it, I get approached by biking enthusiasts who want to know more about the bike.
Great bikes, fantastic experience. Definitely a go-to place for anyone looking for quality bikes at reasonable prices.

Bought a new Gravity 29er full suspension mountain bike from Bikesdirect.com. Took about a week for the bike to arrive. Out of the box the front suspension fork was defective from the manufacturer so I emailed tech support. Larry at tech support was excellent and emailed me back in less than two hours and that he was very sorry for the problem and was sending out a new upgraded fork via usps priority mail right away. I received the fork within two days and finished the assembly the next day. The bike is awesome for the money and the customer support that Larry provided was wonderful. I've already recommended bikesdirect.com to several people who were unware of the company who were asking about my new bike. I will definitely buy again from bikesdirect.com and hats off to Larry who provided superior customer support!

The bikes are pretty good, and unbeatable for the price from what I've seen. Mine required some replacement parts and extra service out of the box; Larry from Bikesdirect customer service was super helpful and responded promptly with good solutions.

A big shout out to Larry in the service group. My daughter's bike arrived last September but she only rode it a couple times before school went fully remote. When she started riding again yesterday (schools are back, thankfully), a part of the brake became disassembled and some of the adjustment bushings were lost. Larry sent me a new assembly. It's a nice bike and the kiddo can't wait to get back on it this spring.

The process of organization, service, the purchase itself high level. I already have a fully equipped mountain bike in my garage for travel and sports. Everyone who will ask about the product will receive an answer - SUPER.

In my case, it was some minor cosmetic damage during shipping. But customer rep Larry was there to help! Even though the damage wasn't their fault, Larry put my newbie-biker mind at ease and made everything right. Definitely would not hesitate to recommend Bike Direct to friends.

This is my second bike I got from Bikes Direct. Inside the box was some hidden damage (the derailleur hanger bracket got bent in shipping. I write an email to them over the weekend and before 8 AM on a Monday morning Larry@ BikesDirect already has a part coming my way. I was so blown away they fixed this problem so fast! I want to give Larry a big shout out and thanks man for making my day.

I preordered the Gravity Bullseye Monster 2020 and it arrived early with excellent packaging.

I made an oafish mistake during assembly and Larry in customer service responded to my panicked email in under 2 hours.

The bike is fantastic and has components beyond its price. I've owned and ridden three fat tire bikes now (Giant and Specialized)

I ordered my in-stock bike and received it less than 4 business days.
Box was not damaged by FedEx. For less than $250.00, I am so happy with this purchase. The welds and paint were great. Components were as described. Pedals are too small for me but easily replaceable.
Simple to put togeter and adjust. If you've never put one together go to youtube watch some videos. So easy to do. The whole process was so much easier than you think.
Bike fits and rides great. Will definitely order one for my wife.

I have been riding my HAL5 Motobecane MTB for 3.5 years now and am SUPER HAPPY with its performance and durability. I ride very technical and as fast as I can up and down trails across the USA. I'm not a PRO but have been riding BMX (as a child) and MTB for many years and can truly appreciate having top of the line components included on my excellent HAL5 suspension system. I bought a usman salauden and when i got it and hopped on the rear derailleur got caught in the spoke some how and got dystroyed, thank god all was fix by them

Purchased a Motobecane Strada Ltd 1.0 from Bikes Direct in late July 2018. Bikes Direct customer service was very helpful answering my numerous questions before the purchase. Bike arrived within a week. Easily assembled. Rear derailleur shifted perfectly. Had to tweak the front derailleur a bit, but this was nothing out of the ordinary. As a bike owner we must know how to do these simple tweaks or we're running to the LBS all the time and wasting money. Already have 431 miles on my new bike and I really enjoy riding it.

I now look forward to going on a bike ride and getting exercise instead of worrying about a pinch flat due to a small rock or hairline crack in the road.

I highly recommend Bikes Direct.

The staff here care and won't try to rip you off, they give you the best bang for your buck and treat their customers well.

I just wanted to say that I am extremely pleased with the level of outstanding customer service you have provided me!

As you may recall, I had inquired about the possibility of purchasing two new tires for my Gravity Fat Bike. You informed me that Bikesdirect does not routinely keep such large items in stock. However, you had taken the time to check and discovered that your facility did indeed have the two tires that I wanted.

I received the box a few weeks ago, but did not open it until this afternoon. At the bike shop I had gone to in regards to replacing and installing the new tires, they informed me that there were two items of interest inside the box.

I assure you, I sincerely appreciate your extra effort in locating the two replacement tires. I was also pleasantly surprised that you had placed a tool kit and flask inside the box!

I recently purchased a Boris x5 fat bike. The bike arrived quickly, was packaged very well, assembly was fast and easy. The bike was unboxed, checked over, assembled, tuned and on the trail in just under 3 hours. Email communication was fast and friendly and all my questions were answered. My only complaint is that I waited so long to take advantage of such a great deal. I will be a returning customer for sure!

I've received two bikes now from BD and both experiences were great. The Gravity Avenue F XD is an excellent bike that has performed beyond expectations thus far. Putting the bike together was incredibly easy. The customer service staff was highly responsive and I had both bikes within the same week of purchase with email and tracking in my inbox same day. The CS manager even offered a discount for my replacement bike after the first was stolen in the city. They made me more comfortable in a situation that was very upsetting. Love my Lurch fat bike, wanted to get some different end caps to run a carbon fork. Emailed bikesdirect and Larry took care of it with great communication and quick service. Zero complaints on my bikesdirect experience!

Received the bike 3 weeks ago and it's great. To anyone questioning that the website looks dicey I say relax. I've bought 2 other mid level road bikes from them. They were both great. My new mountain bike was great also. They have fast shipping and great customer service. If you aren't comfortable assembling your own bike then go to a bike shop. Bike came in great shape and assembled it with not much problem. I got a blue tooth shifter that I had to get professional help with for a whole 20 bucks now works amazing. The bike shop was amazed at what I got in my bike for 2100 bucks. It rode great. Don't hesitate and get a great deal with them. Thanks bikes direct again.

I purchased a Gravity HD hard tail. The bike arrived in about a week and it went together fine. I did have a shifting issue and a new part was sent right away. The bike rides great and I have had a few nice complements on how great it looks.

Just wanted to thank the folks at bikes direct and especially Larry for their excellent product and even better customer service. My bikes were delivered on time and in excellent condition, but with 1 slight flaw, front tire inner tube would not inflate. I contacted customer service via email and received a reply from Larry within 15 minutes! He apologized for inconvenience and informed me new tube on the way! Well done, definitely recommend bikes direct for your purchase.
