Great... if you love jumping through hoops
October 5, 2023

I ordered a Miche 10-speed 12-21T Shimano-compatible cassette. 12-21 cassettes are difficult to come by these days. I was excited to find them available in NEW condition. It two weeks to receive it and I promptly removed my Shimano 12-23T cassette on my training bike and installed this cassette. Went on with no issues and "appears" identical to the Shimano, but you can't adjust it to where it is quiet in every gear. I've installed over a dozen cassettes and adjusted hundreds of them. It should not take more than a few minutes to set the high, low and micro-adjust the rear derailleur to ensure smooth shifting and silent operation. No matter what you do with this cassette, one or more gears will make noise. Adjust it in 7th gear and it makes noise in 3rd. Adjust it in 3rd and it makes noise in 7th. The gap between the sprockets is a fraction of a millimeter narrower than the Shimano cassette. Slap a Shimano on, and you're able to set the derailleur in 60 seconds. I spend an hour trying to get the Miche to work... can't do it without making contact with an adjacent sprocket.
I ordered from BikeInn because they have an "EASY RETURNS" policy. I didn't ride the bike. It never left the stand. The item is simply defective. I sent photos. I sent a length description of the issue. But BikeInn insisted on a VIDEO. At this point, I had already re-installed the Shimano cassette. I have two kids and a job. I have limited time. I wasted over an hour trying to get the Miche cassette to work. Now BikeInn wants me to waste another hour, putting the defective cassette on my bike to take a video? I tried to upload the video, but their site would not allow it because the video is over 6 MB is file size. Of course, BikeInn had more hoops to jump through. Now they demand I learn to use online video editing software to reduce the file size of the video so I can upload it through their portal... or use a file share service to upload the video and send them the link. More wasted time. I don't have 5 hours to waste to show a video proving the cassette doesn't work. And if I did, there is nothing stopping BikeInn from claiming I'm not adjusting the rear derailleur properly.
Nowhere in their "EASY RETURNS" policy does it say, you'll have to take videos of yourself working on your bicycle and learn to edit your videos in order to send it to us to complete a return. It's a SCAM. DO NOT ORDER from these people. They will not refund you.

Tip for consumers:

Although their refund "policy" is EASY RETURNS for a FULL REFUND... good luck with that.

Worst Customer Service I've ever received from a seller
November 11, 2022

I ordered a bike computer from Bike INN on June 11,2022. It cost me about $31 total. As of November 11,2022, I have never received it. I used their tracking to watch it coming and the last report on tracking was June 28 when it supposedly cleared US Customs in Chicago. The tracking said it was on it's way to me in Colorado.
When I had not received it by July 10 I began contacting them. I sent BikeINN at least 8 emails or contacts on their website. They told me to call the USPS and US Customs. I did that, and the USPS said they had never received the package from customs. Customs said they passed it on to USPS. USPS said they thought it was probably stolen. Bike INN sent me an email with a form attached to fill out for their shipping company. The attachment was not with the email, so I sent them another email to let them know. I finally got another email on November 7 that had the form attached so I printed it out, filled it out, scanned it into a PDF and attached it to an email I sent them. Today they sent me an email saying they checked with their shippers and it was after the deadline so they couldn't do anything about it.
I had sent an email to Bike Inn on November 5 giving them until November 15 to refund my money on this order. Their website says: "In case of problems with your order or concerns, you can contact our customer service team ready to answer you in your language. A personalized customer service that will assist you instantly. Our team is available 24 hours a day via chat, email or telephone." They also talk about how important customer service & customer satisfaction is to them but I certainly did not find this the case. In 2 of my emails I told them that I didn't think they were even listening to me or reading my emails. I would tell them it had been several months since I had ordered, several months since any new tracking information had come, and I wanted my money back. Told them what USPS had said. And the next day or two I would get back what appeared to be a form response that the order was on its way, please be patient.
This was the second time I had ordered from them. Had no problems the first time but this has been ridiculous. This evening I received the note saying there was nothing they could do since I had not sent the form back before the deadline, and it appears that they had sent me the form AFTER the deadline since it wasn't attached to the first email. They do have great prices but I didn't find any satisfaction at all from my communication to them. I don't plan to order from them again.

0 stars! Horrible company
July 24, 2020

Honestly, I should start reading reviews before I get excited over cheaper prices but I can't believe companies can get away with this.
Initially I wrote a negative review about the delivery. I needed mtb gear for a visit to a bike park and actually looked at multiple online stores that could deliver within a week.
I wouldn't have been upset if Bikeinn had a free delivery service (I ordered for more than 200) and that would have arrived later BUT. I had to choose a delivery service (UPS/ GLS/ etc) which had different delivery dates and different tarives! If I pay more I expect I pay for something. Bikeinn handed my package over to the delivery service on the last day the delivery was expected to be delivered at my home address.
Anyway, I received my package 4 days later... but not complete! One of the products I ordered was a set(!) of mtb knee guards; I just received the one for my left knee!
After writing a message, asking how this could be solved, I received the answer that I had to fill out the return form and add photo's of the item and the shipping label, then they would "investigate".
However, after filling out the form and adding the required photo's... the only button I could click on was "create return label" (which means I have to buy a return label for 7,99).
So I wrote them again, complaining that I didn't want to buy a return label. Answer: I used the wrong form or topic... So I checked again... No, I didn't order the wrong color or size, my product was not damaged, etc. My only option was to fill out the form and buy a return label.
After writing my review on the delivery, I noticed how many people had written a review about not receiving their ordered products or refund(!).
Too be honest, it started to make me worry that this could easily end in a discussion wether I really received just one single knee guard from a set (how can I prove that?) (because honestly, how does Bikeinn wants to "investigate" that? (as they replied in their first response).
I wrote a last message suggesting that they would send met the "other" single knee guard OR, if it really was so necessary to return the single knee guard I received, that they would send me a return label (I didn't make a mistake in my order!) (I would get the shipping costs back if they believed my complained was righteous).
I received a long response starting with "my right to return items within 90 days"... after which I stopped reading.
To compare; I bought a bike this year (online) and the manufacturer delivered the wrong rear shock in the frame. After 1 single mail, I got apologies, received a copy that they ordered the right shock right away (since it was not in stock)... and UPS came to pick up the wrongly installed shock at my front door! That's what you do as a company when you make a mistake!
I have no trust at all that they will solve this situation so I choose to take my loss (104) and have a very expensive spare left knee guard.
But please people! A very few people seem to be lucky with their order at Bikeinn but this the third review site about Bikeinn that I found and the dominant buyer's experience is incredibly negative!
On top of this all, Bikeinn was able to get my review offline at Trustpilot, claiming that they didn't believe my review was "a genuine buyer's experience"! Wish they had put more effort in communicating with me (instead of the standardized answers) instead of spending so much time on checking review sites to protect their image. Horrible company!
