Proactively asks for customer feedback
I usually have to write bad reviews these days so when I had a great experience with beenverified.com I knew I needed to give them a good review. I used the website to find a name to go along with a cell phone number. Got the name in seconds. I needed to talk to customer service afterwards and they helped with my problem the FIRST time. This never happens. Businesses always make customers jump through hoops to get the answer they need. I emailed them once and they came back with the answer I was looking for within hours. Exceptional.
Not worth your money. It's amalgamated google info, you still have 4 or 5 possible people attached to a phone on reverse phone look up, and there are no active phone numbers for Beenverified company. Their website number link is not in service. Poor business quality. Rip off.
Works good found who i was looking for, trying to cancel my subscription was pretty stupid, calling a phone number to cancel a online subscription is annoying having to talk to a automated robot voice is very annoying. This website really needs a way to cancel subscriptions from the web page itself inside the account settings or something because calling or emailing just to have your membership canceled is ridiculous. I liked what beenverified has to offer, just not the way they do membership cancelations.
Just got off the phone with Been Verified to ask about a subscription. The agent was very rude. The whole time I was talking with her she kept sighing very loudly into the phone because she was annoyed with me asking questions. She was simply unable to articulate an answer that made sense. I had to end the call.

The information was outdated and incomplete, especially criminal records and driving records. I sent a contact form request the day I signed up for the service stating I wanted to cancel. They never responded, I had forgotten about it thinking they would cancel the service. A month later I am being charged for it. I am in the process of requesting a refund, if they give it to me I will update the review here and everywhere else I left a review, a star or two depending on how well they handle the situation.
UPDATE - They responded quickly after sending an email regarding this issue. I was given a refund and my account was canceled as requested. I think this would be good for finding basic info on a person such as location, relatives etc. The criminal history may have some info but it is not guaranteed to have everything in it.

I paid the fee specifically to receive employment information on myself. There was nothing there. And the rest of the information on me was either missing, wrong, or incomplete. I looked up a few friends, and saw the same for them.
So I immediate wrote customer service asking for a full refund. They replied by the next day, and approved the refund.
I can't say I had the best experience with this site. But I did very much appreciate their quick and courteous customer service team.
I'm sorry to hear we couldn't help you find the information you were looking for. The information in our reports comes from public records, aggregated from many many sources. We are dependent upon the accuracy of public data, and as you experienced, sometimes county court records, and other agencies that collect this data, are not 100% accurate or up to date. That being said, we are constantly updating and expanding our database to provide the most accurate and current information we possibly can.

The lead in started out at $22.86. This was for unlimited searches during a month. For another $1.99 you can have a PDF report generated. After a lengthy wait for my first search less information was provided in my initial free Google search produced. Another offer was given at an additional cost of $14.99. This is this no money produced no better results. But wait there were more green buttons for more money that might produce something. They might have her do something that I didn't bother putting any more money in.
I immediately called been verified and expressed my concern while telling them to cancel and refund the charges. This they did so immediately. On that count I give them a 3 rating because their customer service was understanding and immediate.
I do not like services that require you to keep adding money to get further into the service which is why I did not give them a high rating but I do appreciate their customer service which is why they get a 3 rating. It is possible you will get better results but be prepared to pay more than the initial subscription fee for anything useful

We also have a premium upgrade to search for additional information not included in a membership, as you mentioned. We have been working to access additional databases and integrate improved data into our reports. You're right. I don't have much confidence in the quality of info. I did a search on a person who I know has a checkered past and nothing showed up. But at least, the company credited me for the monthly fee (which I guess i agreed to when i signed up - not sure how i missed that).

With criminal records, we will show all of the information that has been made digitally available to us for integration into our reports, by the county courts, departments of correction and other state agencies. Some sources make more information available in this format than others, and unfortunately there are still some counties that do not yet make their criminal data digitally available to us to pull into our reports.
