Steer Clear

Ordered a bedroom set on 4/10/21. Product was noted as "in stock" for "8-10 weeks delivery", which was why it was selected. Two months later (on 6/7/21) I was told there some pieces in the local warehouse, but no delivery date was known for the "rails and nightstands." I approved partial delivery, and these components were delivered (damaged) on 7/10/21 (after several more delivery delays.) That was when we found our "rails" basically meant the entire bed. Rails (the rest of the bed) and nightstands were finally promised on 12/28/21 but they arrived missing one nightstand. The missing nightstand was finally located and delivered on 1/5/22, but was missing a trim piece. Multiple delivery dates have been promised and not met ever since. It is now 8/31/22,16 MONTHS after the order was placed, and I still don't have anything. Dozens of promise dates missed. No control over their supply chain. Zero concern for their customers. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Customers should steer well clear of bedroomfurniturediscounts.com.

Shayne & BedRoom Furniture Fantastic!

We ordered our Binetti sofa, loveseat, and chair in late November and paid for it in full after being assured it was in stock. Customer service was outstanding at the time of ordering as they walked us through the process. We were able to get the set at a big discount from the 1 we saw in a retail store (not affiliated w/ Discount Living Rooms). My wife and I were concerned about ordering online due to Covid related issues, labor shortages, and supply chain delays. We were also worried that the colors were not going to match the online photos. It's hard to do this ALL on line, lol! But Discount Living Rooms was incredibly helpful with each step. After ordering, DLR sent us confirmation of payment and a visual step-by-step of all the next phases. It was very easy to understand and it gives the general time line for all of it. From that point our Success Mgr. Was Shayne M. Who sent emails and text messages regularly. DLR.com met every timeline until right at Christmas when the Sofa set arrived at their Delivery Company. We should have received some sort of communication from aforementioned Delivery Outfit. We really did not expect anything to show up in the middle of Christmas/New Years but thought maybe 1st week after New Years. But Shayne (DLR.com) was on it and staying in touch with all parties! Unfortunately nothing was happening as I could tell with Delivery Company so I called them on January 4th. They told me it probably would be delivered in about 2 weeks. It wasn't. Shayne checked and personally called me to explain what was going on. At the beginning of February we were notified by Delivery Truck people that they had assigned our furniture to a smaller truck that is easier to get into our driveway, and it would be out that Saturday. They even gave us the Drivers name (Dave). But on the day, Dave called me and said he had blown his transmission on the truck... and could not deliver. He also admitted that the furniture should have been delivered in early January 2022 but as he loading the truck he could not get all 3 pieces of my furniture on the smaller truck so removed my stuff and delayed delivery. I called the Delivery company and asked if we could make this a priority since they had ben holding my sofa set since mid December 2021. They were non committal until Shayne (DLR.com) called and they decided they would deliver the very next week. The Delivery guys were great and the "White Glove Delivery Service " was outstanding! None of this would have gotten done without Shayne M.! And yes I would buy from DiscountLiving Room again.

I ordered a bedroom set from Bedroom Furniture Discounts in March of 2021 for over $1600. It said it would take a few months for delivery. I received the furniture in September of 2021. I never complained about it taking 6 months. The delivery company they use has this "hands off" type of policy that helps them to get out of doing what's right. They want you to inspect all the furniture and pieces before they leave, fair enough. If you find any damage, you have to report it then and there or they won't fix it, so they do not stand behind their work. The day of delivery, my husband had to help the man carry the dresser up to our room because the other person wasn't strong enough to help. Not off to a good start. Then we inspected everything the best we could: the bed (in pieces), dresser, and 2 night stands. We noticed some damage on the footboard and dresser. We noted it and they went on their way. Soon after they left, we noticed the same type of damage on the headboard that was up against the wall where the guy had left it. We hadn't noticed it at first because it was small, but it was sharp, so it caught my finger. I called immediately about this and was told that they will do nothing about it. It's not like in the hour that it was against my wall that I was able to cause this crack splinter damage to it. But, ok fine, what about the other pieces? It took them a few weeks to come back to pick up the footboard and dresser. I don't hear back for awhile. I call and find out they aren't being delivered until mid December 2021. I am sleeping on the floor and have my clothes in bins now for 4 months while waiting for the repairs to be done. We finally get the dresser and footboard back. The delivery company was supposed to deliver on December 13th between 1 and 2 pm. They don't show up until after 6 pm as we are getting ready to leave for my son's band concert. We have to hurry and look at the dresser and footboard. We didn't see any issues from the spots that we asked to be fixed. The next morning, I run my finger across the dresser rim, and I catch my finger on splintered wood. A big chunk is splintered out underneath the rim. This is new damage that wasn't there before, and we didn't see it as it was under the rim. I hadn't touched the dresser or put anything in it from that evening they dropped it off to the morning I called. Nope. They deny it since I didn't see it at the time. They could have switched and given me a different dresser with that new damage. It was underneath, so I didn't notice right away and I was in a hurry to go to my son's concert. They were late in delivery anyway, so if they had come earlier, I could have combed it with a fine tooth comb. Also odd that the delivery people don't impress on you how important it is to examine every inch. I went back and forth with the furniture company about how I saved up for a long time to buy an undamaged piece of furniture and now I have to keep a damaged piece of furniture because I didn't catch their mistake that was underneath the rim? Oh, they are refunding me $75 because that's all they can do. Super. One more thing... we go to put the bed together after we finally got the footboard in mid December. There was no hardware or slats! I called the company and they put in an order to get them for us. We are at the end of January now and it may be a few more weeks until the hardware comes in. The delivery company they use is not a company I would ever use again. The fact that the furniture company also goes along with this policy is ridiculous. I have ordered furniture from other companies and if there is some damage I notice, even after delivery, they replace it. This company wants you to pay full price for something with damage and offer you a small amount so that they can close your account. I told the representative how I felt and that I will take the $75 because I am literally so tired of this. It's been 11 months and I just want to be done.

BEWARE

Also goes by discount Living rooms. Beware! So I ordered a piece from them and first they told me the price included putting it upstairs. The people deliver it after 7:30pm and tell me that they were not aware of this and that I need to tip well for them to do it. I had planned to do that anyway, but they get it up there and it is still wrapped and wrapped in plastic and styrofoam and the guys tell me that they are not allowed to do anything further like help put the legs on it or unwrap the glass shelves, etc. Ok by the time they have it up there and tell me this it is 9pm. I have a young child who still needed to be fed and have a bath so I could not even get to unwrapping it right away. I was told to sign I received it. I said but we did not open it all the way and they said it's ok you are just signing we came and did not damage it during our delivery. So then there's a major electrical problem where part of the hookup is stuck in a hold in the roof of the piece and you can not get it out to attach it. Then there is another wire dangling from the top. I contact them and they initially act as if they want to help, but times goes on and they are not responsive. I asked that they come get the defective piece and they refuse saying I accepted the piece the way it came even though it was after 9pm when it was set up in my house and still had all of the wrap on it. By the time they stall so much I am now working a job at a hospital working 12 hour shifts and they say they will eventually send someone to fix it, but I let them know they can just come get it because now I have 12 hours shifts and can't have them come at midnight. So then they write me and say they are mailing the parts and when they arrive they are going to send someone to fix it. Yet they turn around and tell me that i can have $100 to pay an electrician to come fix it. OK DA! I had to pay $75 of that for the electrician just to come look at it to say they did not send all of the appropriate parts and that it would cost much more than that to fix it if they could fix it at all. I filed a BBB complaint and all they could write back and say was they offered to fix it and I did not want them to. Way to exaggerate people! People work hard for their purchases so do what it takes to make a customer happy so that they will return. If they had done the right thing to begin with, I would have likely ordered something else. They do not care about their customers at all. I have never had a company treat me like this before. If they are unresponsive to the BBB complaint to my satisfaction, I am seeking legal action. Just be careful with this company because they will do anything to make sure they do not take responsibility if something goes wrong and if something gets delivered, do not sign for it until you have fully inspected even if you have to keep the delivery people waiting til midnight or later.

Tip for consumers:

Don't use them. They deliver late at night and once you realize something is wrong with the product they say tough, you signed for it. They do not live by the customer is right. They don't care that they screw you over.

Great Experience, Beautiful Bedroom Set!

Purchased a beautiful bedroom set end of November, and Michael handled my purchase from start to delivery. I was very impressed with his continued follow-thru keeping me updated on my order status, making sure the white glove delivery made contact for scheduling, and making sure everything purchased worked out. Although, the four month wait was long; Michael made the process so much easier by keeping me in the loop at all times. Their white glove service team was very professional and did a great job also. I would definitely recommend and use Bedroomfurniturediscounts.com again!

The best experience I've ever had ordering furniture

Our kids have had mismatched bedroom furniture all their lives - a mixture of hand-me-downs and things we bought on the secondary market-- because we had to move around so much with the military and furniture always takes a beating every military move. When my husband retired from the military, we celebrated by purchasing our forever home and finally buying matching bedroom furniture for the kids. We did our research to find a place selling high quality, solid-wood furniture, at decent prices. We were stunned when we found this site. The prices (with the promo coupon) were WAY lower than other stores had the pieces. We were a little wary because the prices did seem a bit too good to be true, but we placed our order and hoped for the best.
We were contacted by their customer service agent, Shahanie, who kept us posted throughout the process by email. We'd pre-ordered furniture, which meant that there would be a 5-6 week processing time (they order in bulk so they have to gather up enough orders to get the discount pricing -- THAT's why the prices were so much better here). The processing time was no issue for us... and we never had a chance to worry because Shahanie stayed in touch to let us know where we were in the process, as things moved along.
The week before delivery, Shahanie let us know that the delivery company would be in touch to schedule up a delivery window. The delivery guys were WONDERFUL! I mean, so considerate, and careful! They actually pre-checked our order to make sure that everything was PERFECT before bringing it out to us, and they sent back one piece that had gotten dinged during transport. We never even saw that damaged piece because the delivery guys coordinated with the vendor to get a replacement piece before they drove out with our order. Everything that was delivered to us arrived in PERFECT condition, not a single scratch or ding.
After decades of making do with used furniture, it felt amazing to have really NICE, beautiful furniture that really belongs to us. The only history this furniture will have will be from the time we'll have it.
As for the furniture itself-- it's solid wood, beautifully made. The makers didn't spare any detail or cut any corners. There are metal plates where the bolts screw in through bolt-tunnels (it's not the cheaper kind that just hooks into the wood, it's much nicer than that!), and it goes together nicely and feels solid. The delivery guys assembled everything for us and didn't leave a speck of wrapping or trash behind. It was easy, and we were so happy-- the kids were excited about their rooms!
We're planning to order from this company again to furnish our guest bedroom, and possibly to replace our decades-old old bedroom set too.
We are huge fans of this company now... they're one of the few exceptions to the rule about "if something seems too good to be true...". They're a fantastic company, and their prices really are outstanding. You can't beat their customer service, either. If you order from them, I hope you get to work with Shahanie.

I had gone to the website and clicked on the "chat" button thinking we had other questions to get answered before actually placing the order. But we didn't so I closed the chat. Very shortly my phone rang and it was Nash from the company. Nash was a great help with placing the order and getting us a discount on the premium delivery! A new twist on free white glove delivery

The only reason i am writing this review is because of the frustration I have been experiencing since ordering my 30th wedding anniversary present of a new bedroom furniture suite. Placing the order was not an issue. The delivery time expectations were not an issue. The issue came about when the delivery company was scheduled to be at my home on a specific day as I had been on the phone with them extensively and explained I had an upcoming wedding out of town and the delivery must occur before then. They called the day before the scheduled delivery date to advise me of a truck breakdown, which I know can happen, so I asked if they could come first thing in the morning the next day. After much ado, the delivery truck finally showed up from the promised 7: am they finally arrived after 8:00am. Mind you I was supposed to be their first stop. I had asked them to come to my home first thing in the morning as I had the wedding to attend which was over 4 hours from my home and had to leave no later than noon to get there. Well, once they finally arrived, the gentlemen were nice and friendly enough, but due to their ages (late 40's and mid 50's) I believe they took a look at my heavy duty bedroom boxes and refused to bring the furniture to my second floor bedroom. Now mind you, I have a double door entry, I have a 2 story open foyer and a slight curved staircase. Last year I paid about $10k for the custom staircase. These gents had my husband and I convinced that the only way for them to get the furniture upstairs, possibly, would be if we had our staircase rails and posts removed. Well, this did not happen. After 3 hours of them parked in front of our home refusing to bring the load in the home and me dealing with the sales department who advised me if I refused the delivery that their movers were refusing to bring up to the room, I would have been about $2300 or so out of pocket and no furniture, I did not have much choice left and told the gents to bring the boxes in my garage and leave them there since we were already getting late for the wedding. This was a Friday. We returned back home Sunday evening and on Monday morning I called local moving companies and provided them with photos of my dilemma. Both moving companies I called saw no issue with my entry. They both advised me that most likely, due to the size and weight of the items, the original movers did not want to bother. I ended up getting help 2 days later from a wonderful local moving company who sent over guys a lot smaller that the original movers and these new guys took all the 6 bedroom pieces up to my second floor master bedroom and had the bed set up and all within an hour and a half. I ended up having to pay them $565 for this service. Needless to say it does not stop here. The first box we opened had the mirror in it and, you may have guessed it, the mirror was broken, big shocker! Now I have been corresponding with the original sales person and after 3 weeks since the furniture was delivered, I still have no solution. They asked me to give them names of glass companies so they could get estimates from and I am still waiting. Well, I am now tired of waiting and being a nice person about it. Will not be ordering from you any time soon as the white glove delivery service I ended up getting was not the one you promised but the one I ended up paying for. I hope someone will read this and hear the frustration I have been experiencing and take notice. I am also disappointed by the overall customer service as all I got was: we are sorry about the inconvinience" Really, you should have done better than that!
