“New Baby Game”

Julie P.
11/22/19

Okay, so I miss the heck out of Babydow. There has been nothing like it. The company won't listen to it's fanbase, so I'm taking matters into my own hands. For years I've been on-and-off planning out a new baby game, and I think it may be possible if I find a programmer or two. Here's my basic idea: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11EhUeGtOxxccK4ZxssnbSjTh-yhoC-2hW3-MANfe9dA/edit?usp=sharing I'm going to spread this as far as I can because I really want this to work. “At first I loved this website; there were things to...”

At first I loved this website; there were things to do, constant events, nice mods, good graphics, fair rules. Everything fit and everyone enjoyed it. They were barely any arguing and people had lots of friends- there was a lot of trust. People had fun and freedom to do what they want. But then as time progressed I feel it's gone downhill. Not the aim of the game just the people of the game. The way it's run. Nothing is fair about this website anymore; certain people won't get in trouble because they are ‘favoured' and others don't get to have their say. I think it could become a lot more enjoyable if the authorities changed their ways or were changed overall. The one star is because of the aim of the game, the loss of 4 stars is because of how it's changed. I want it as it was in 2009-2010. Then perhaps it would reach 4 or 5 again.

I personally like this website. But to do lots of things that make the game very fun, you must buy passes. You sometimes get the passes for free, but still. It's also a bit annoying because it always talks about fairies. "The fairies have agreed to change your babies hairstyle for one pass." REALLY, BABYDOW?!

This website is very fun to play until the moderators abuse their power. Not all the moderators on Babydow.com are horrible, but there are a few that are. These moderators will find one thing they don't like about you, and then they will pick on everything you do. It seems like a personal problem against you. Babydow also seems to be homophobic. On this website, you can personalize a 'presentation'. I had seen photos of straight couples on some players' presentations. There were never any complaints about this. I added a photo of two women kissing. The photo (and the rest on my presentation) was removed and I received a warning saying that it was deleted because of 'inappropriate photo of two women kissing'. Next, I added a photo of the same two women standing together. This was also removed because I had 'inappropriate photos and comments of same gender couples." I got in trouble for the same thing three times, and after the first warning, I just had a photo of them either standing next to each other, or simply hugging. This is not fair, and it is very homophobic. I, as well as many others, are offended. After the third time, they banned my account for 'continuing to add photos of same gender couples', even though they deleted my presentation yet again before this. Babydow is biased, homophobic, and unfair.

The game itself is very good, the graphics are excellent, the game is engaging and rewarding. What is quite sickening to see, is their sister site, Howrse, run by the same company. They have constant and fun events and promotions, whereas Babydow has an event at Hallowe'en, Christmas and sometimes Easter, the events are the same each year and last for a coupe of days. There is no room for opinion on the site, state anything opinionated, be it controversial or not so and you will face harsh punishment. The mods are generally unhelpful and corrupt, and the admins even more so. They refuse to admit they could have made a mistake, the rules are harsh and punished nastily. It seems as soon as you have paid money for passes, they delete your account and keep the money. I have been deleted from this site before and this ban is the final straw, legal action will be taken. A word of advice, whatever you do, DO NOT sign up.
