AVOID! Will block one bridesmaid for no reason!
September 26, 2024

Do not order from Azazie.

My sister ordered three try on dresses and she got an error message with her credit card. She tried a couple of times and then my mother gave her a credit card to use. The order went through, but then my mother got an email with the following message (slightly paraphrased):

"We regret to inform you that your recent order has been cancelled. To ensure the security of all our customers, we have stringent fraud detection measures in place. After a thorough review, we found the transaction associated with your order did not meet our security criteria. If you believe this cancellation is in error, please do not hesitate to contact us"

We assumed that this was some basic automatic check and all would be cleared up with a simple email or a phone call. She had recently moved to a different state and we had waited to place the order until she moved, so it would get delivered to her new address. So it follows that some automatic check found no purchases associated with her credit card in the new state. I assume that's why they refused her credit card - I don't know why they canceled her order after allowing my mothers credit card to go through.

The chat help person said that a supervisor was required and that it wouldn't be until after the weekend.

We were under somewhat of a time crunch, so I just tried to order the dresses on my credit card but I found that I could not even complete the order - before I even finished checking out, I got a pop up that said "This account closed due to unusual activity."

I assumed it would be just like when your credit card algo flags something odd (my sister had just gotten a new job and moved a few states over) and would be resolved with a simple phone call.

We got an email back saying that they reviewed the issue, but decided to keep the account blocked.

My mother is in her mid 70s now and was trying to help me out by taking something off of my plate, so I had assumed that this course of events was a result of her getting some information wrong. Again, I assumed it would be resolved with a simple phone call.

I got on the phone with Azazie customer service, explained to a very nice person, and was totally assured that I would receive a call by a supervisor within the next 24 hours.

The same thing happened the next day. And the next day. And the next day. It took a week to get someone on the phone.

Her grand plan? "Well, YOUR account isn't suspended, so you can order the try on dresses to yourself and then ship them to her! You just can't have them sent to her address."

Ma'am, that isn't a solution, I thought of that last week. Also it makes zero sense. You are basically admitting to me over the phone that you have no problem with dresses purchased with my credit card going to that address.

I went round and round with her. She said the address was permanently blocked. I told her that my sister won't live there forever, what about the poor soul who moves in after her? No answer for that.

She said that we got blocked because my attempts were made with multiple credit cards. Well, obviously. They wouldn't accept my sisters card, so the next obvious thing to do is to try another card. I asked her what I should tell my friends to do if a card gets rejected, if they don't want their addresses blocked for life. No answer for that.

In exasperation, I asked if this was because my sister is poor. Her credit is fine, but she's very low income.

So far awful Experience
April 20, 2023

Purchased from this company with high hopes, I heard they were a good reputable company but quickly realized they were not.
Bought my daughters bridesmaid dresses almost a month ago, took a bit for shipping, understandable. Not a cause for concern yet.
Get a notification my item has shipped on 4/17 and expected about 1-1.5 weeks after, got another notification 2 days later from azazie by email(not the carrier) they had been notified by the carrier my items were delivered. Confused because it never arrived, I waited. I know popular shipping carriers like usps and fedex sometimes mark them as delivered and they show up later that day, I waited.
Nothing. Looked for a phone number to contact them, first red flag. They turned OFF their phone service, I really wonder why! Had to chat through the website. They pretty much told me I needed to speak to the carrier. Which I quickly found out was some shady carrier, and guess what you can't contact them either!
Elaine at azazie told me there was nothing the COMPANY could do but they can offer me $50 sample dresses or 10% off my re-purchase. EXCUSE ME?! I've NEVER had to deal with a company not making right on issues with delivery, or not even attempt to contact the carrier to figure out the issue!
They sent me the link to the carrier showing it says delivered at 8pm on my doorstep 4/19, but the email azazie sent me was at 4pm notifying me it was delivered.
Came to google to quickly realize this has happened to many.
Another chat convo with the carrier to tell me I need to contact the seller!
Then the shipping company says oh it will be there in 1-2 days, I said didn't you just read my message about it saying it was NEVER DELIVERED?!
Then goes oh, yea you're right. Well you need to contact the seller if it doesn't show up.
I asked azazie to look into this, if I don't hear back from a real person by tomorrow I am calling and disputing the chargers and filing a complaint for fraud!
And will also have ALL the wedding party cancel their orders or also file charge backs for fraud.
I really had high hopes for them, the dresses looked so pretty and perfect for my wedding. It cost me 3-4 hours of my day trying to deal with them, usps to only tell me they weren't the carrier, and the shotty carrier they ended up using.
Hoping this review will help my items "appear"
And nobody has contacted me about this once from azazie, I've seen the customer service rep comment back on people's reviews they "tried reaching out several times" and would just like to make that clear for anyone reading this review.
I would be willing to amend this review should the company make this situation right.
