🚨 Buyer Beware: Ava's Flowers 🚨
I have to share my frustrating experience with Ava's Flowers so others can avoid the same disappointment. My mother has now placed TWO separate orders for a Money Tree plant for me, and both times this company has failed to deliver what was promised.
First Order:
About five months ago, my mom ordered a Money Tree. What did we receive? A completely different and cheap-looking plant. When she contacted Ava's Flowers, they refused to provide a full refund and only gave her a partial refund.
Second Order:
Despite that terrible experience, my mom—a sweet and trusting woman who believes in giving second chances—decided to give them another opportunity and ordered another Money Tree. She even told the representative about the first issue, and they guaranteed it wouldn't happen again. Guess what? It happened again. They sent me a dinky little plant that looked NOTHING like the beautiful Money Tree they advertise.
When my mom contacted them again, she was given the runaround, so I stepped in and called. Let me tell you—I was LIVID. I spoke to a rep named Steve, who falsely claimed my mom approved a replacement (she absolutely didn't!) and smugly refused to issue a refund.
After this, I checked their reviews and was SHOCKED. So many people have had the same issues—wrong products, poor quality, and terrible customer service. How is this company still in business?!
I'm sharing this as a warning: Don't waste your time or money on Ava's Flowers. They falsely advertise their products, have no integrity, and refuse to take accountability for their mistakes. I'll be filing a formal complaint with the BBB and leaving reviews elsewhere to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I placed an order for an arrangement with chocolate covered strawberries and was supposed to be delivered the next day before 2pm. Guess what, they weren't. I also get a call from them after 3pm that day while I was in the middle of something to let me know the strawberries are unavailable but can sub that for chocolates instead. When I asked if the prices were the same for both deals or the chocolate was less they said same price. I asked twice to make sure! I said ok thinking it would still get delivered the same day at least. Fast fwd a couple of hours when I get a min to check their site the deal they offered me was $40 less. I also went to their options and stated my order wasn't received by date which prompted them to give an automatic $10 credit for delivery. I call to cancel the order because I am not able to do so online. Their policy is within 24 hrs unless same day or next day. Although my order was placed for next day, and was not delivered, it was still less than 19 hrs after I placed the order. I call to cancel and was told I could not. Then I proceeded to explain that first off the order I placed was $40 more than what they are offering. A lower value good for a higher value package. They wanted to charge me $70 in addition to price of flowers for some chocolates…. Must be magic or something you know! I also proceeded to explain that my card was charged an additional $10 to start with because they did not take a discount into final total calculation online. I'm not sure how an automated calculation could be wrong. I'm going to attach my receipt and if someone can tell me how the total is $180 and Not supposed to be $170 I'd really LOVE to know how you got to those numbers. Simply put order was $130, $10 delivery, $5 card for subtotal of $145. I got free delivery and an additional $10 credit for rush through a coupon code and another $5 discount they applied. There was $28.97 processing fee and $11.19 in taxes. So please someone explain how $15 in discounts don't cancel the card and delivery fee? Leaving $130 plus $40 additional fees. And end of all of that, they initially only wanted to give a $10 discount then a $20 discount, only after I said I would leave them a very nice review. I was not convinced with $20 dollars since I was already charged an additional $10 to start (see photo) and they still refused to refund more, citing I got that $10 credit for delivery. Mind you I am getting the $90 deal instead as priced online. They are misleading people thinking they are getting discounts when in fact they are not! They never said my order would not get there on time nor that they may not have availability of items requested which are the reasons I chose them to start. I am positive this unethical behavior may also have an aspect of illegality to it. I'm sure I'm not the only one whom they automatically calculated no discounts for. I would NOT buy from Ava's flowers ever and would recommend no on do so as well. Not unless you feel like burning $$ or wiping you butt with it cause apparently the quality is $#*!t too based on other people's reviews. I still didn't get my order delivered so won't know, but not hopeful at this point. You can tell a lot about the company by how they are more concerned with reviews rather than actually integrity in dealing with their clients.

Terrible service don't use this place unless you speak with someone other than the call service,they don't confirm orders they don't let you see photos of the phone orders prior to delivery and if you're sending to a funeral be sure they do because they try to cheat you by sending the smallest $29 items in place of the large expensive ones you order thinking you won't know if you weren't at the funeral,but I was and I called them out on the BS and decete and they went back to the funeral instructions of replacement the arrangements with the correct order,just walked in and interrupted the service to take pics of the arrangements they did deliver to email me just the proof I needed to show it was not only the wrong order IT WAS A NASTY ARRANGEMENT WITH DEAD PLANTS IN IT l((ook closely at my photo provided,))but they also didn't care to replace it with the correct order,and they still expect to get paid,not going to happen,you can't expect to get paid for something you didn't order, and then interrupt a funeral service because your incompetent service of not taking a picture of the Order and confirming it prior to delivery.never again will we ever use this company 12 calls later they still want to get paid,won't be referring there company to anyone either,so IF YOU PLACE AN ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY DEMAND TO SEE YOUR PURCHASE PRIOR TO PAYMENT AND DELIVERED,,FYI I ORDERED A LARGE SQUARE BASKET WITH PLANTS AND BLUE AND LIGHT BLUE AND WHITE CARNATIONS AND FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS AS SPECIAL ORDER WITH A SASH BANNER SUPPOSED TO SAY BELOVED (FAMILY) NAME ON IT AND A BLUE RIBBON THEY SENT THERE $29 ORDER THE CHEAPEST ON There PAGE AND EXPECT ME TO PAY THE $$$$ PRICE THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME FO R The wrong order.poor poor service at best!

Do not order flowers from the website Avas Flowers. I ordered on the 25th for the floral arrangement option Of the Sweet Surprises Bouquet for my best friends birthday, i entered her address and it was available to deliver to... Also, i selected a large boutique option, which came to $74.99. The total cost of the order and delivery came to $99.94. Not only did they not deliver on the date i selected they said I approved 12 red roses with no vase instead of my original order, this is not true. I thought they were also sending the 12 red roses because of the inconvenience of not receiving my order on the date i selected, which also showed on their website that it was available to be delivered on that date. No way did i switch my order to 12 roses with no vase and plain as it could possibly be for a total cost and delivery for $99.94. While talking to their customer representative they told me that they did not have a florist in the area and that the flowers came from their headquarters. You would think if it was coming from their headquarters they would have an endless amount of flowers to deliver, right? Also, I asked personally if they would order 12 red roses with no vase for $99.94? He paused for a couple seconds and he replied no I would not. The customer representative said I'm so sorry that we did not fulfill the order that you requested, would it be okay if we sent you a $10 refund and I said no I would not be okay with a $10 refund he said OK what about a $20 refund and I said no and then he finally said well your only option is to approve $30 refund and that was my only option and I said I don't approve of this but if $30 dallors is my only option, I guess I'll take it. I guess its better than nothing. So I ended up paying $74.00 for 12 roses with no vase that are just as good as getting them at Walmart or safeway. If they were unable to send the boutique of flowers that I selected on their website it should have shown up as UNAVAILABLE. When it clearly stated it was. I'm uploading 2 pictures which are the flowers i ordered and the ones my friend received. Please do not order from this website they totally ripped me off, And I'm thinking I'm not the only one that they have done this to so do not order from Avas flowers website.

PLEASE don't use this business. (Too bad I just found out about SiteJabber today.) This is just a terrible mimicry of 1-800Flowers that shouldn't be a business. I urge you to just call the LOCAL flower shop and just get flowers directly from them! Going through this 3rd-party online site will do nothing but cause issues and a waste of your time, as well as lower the profit margins for small business owners by selling flowers at lower costs. They falsely advertise "Same Day" flowers but can't come through on that advertisement the vast majority of the time - and in my experience, they NEVER came through with a Same Day Delivery.
Thankfully, I was able to talk to a very nice customer service rep (Erica, thank you) and cancel my order. However - this was after going through about 3 different modes of communication (talk, online chat, email) and a good hour and a half wasted of my time. (I could've made the dang arrangement myself and driven it over to the next town in that time, for truck's sake.) I was given "x percentage off your future order" or "we can deliver another day, what day works for you?" offers, but I obviously wasn't going to let Avas Flowers have my money after they failed to deliver on the one thing I was paying them for.
If you need to cancel your order with this company, use these steps: call the "I want to order flowers" number on the website *******303), tell the rep you need to order flowers first, but then explain you meant to say you need help with your order. They should then forward you over to someone who can actually help you. (You'll wait a few minutes on hold most likely, but they eventually pick up.) They'll look up your order, ask you how your day is going, etc. Just keep going and say you want to cancel the order. Ignore any of their intrusive discount/order-shifting options they throw at you and keep saying you want to cancel. They'll put you on hold to "see what they can do" eventually, wait, then they'll come back saying they were "able" to cancel the order. FINALLY - never use Ava's Flowers again since they're a crap third-party company that doesn't deliver the one service they offer and fail to have decent customer service.
TL;DR: I made a mistake. Never use Ava's Flowers, ever. Suck it up, get on the phone, and call a local flower shop and pay the delivery fee. It'll be WELL worth your time to do so and you end up with a better arrangement and less headache.
Beware: don't use this company. My overall experience included: terrible outsourced Customer Service who pushes "discounts" and tries their best in order to have you not cancel your order, realization I had used a third-party scam/spammy company, and FINALLY after wasting an hour holding/being transferred/being given "alternate options" that I never wanted - a full refund, but you'll work for it!
None - they never arrived the entire day that I had them planned to be delivered.
I'm from NJ and my Stepmother lives in Sarasota Florida! Her special birthday was approaching (turning 80) and I wanted to send something special. I look through some websites and come across Ava's Florist. I should have read the reviews but I didn't, shame on me! Had I read them I would have NEVER ordered from here because they are all terrible and relate to my experience. So after I sift through the website I find what's called the birthday Indulgence, except I want it larger. So I proceed to call to place my order! I spoke with a gentleman on April 7th 2023! I order the birthday Indulgence but I order the ex- large version. The website says with a specific code, it's free delivery. I express how this is a special birthday and this arrangement needed to be very nice. We agreed on the delivery being Friday, April 8th 2023 between 10-12pm. Well the flowers never arrived. I did get a text they were delivered but they never were. I called numerous times and no one had a answer. My stepmother never received her flowers. The next day I called first thing and they apologized and stated they didn't know what happened. My flowers finally came the next day on April 9th 2023. The bouquet that was delivered was nothing like the picture and half the size. I ordered the ex-large arrangement as they charged me $105.00. There was barely any color and it was so small, unacceptable! Being my stepmother was 80 years old she doesn't have a cell phone to take pictures and send. But she took pictures with her camera and mailed them to me. When I saw these pictures I was soooooo disappointed and angry, it was embarrassing! I called the Ava's and expressed my concern and how dissatisfied I was. The gentleman assured me a re- delivery of the flowers would be made on Tuesday April 18th 2023. April 18th, no flowers! Ava's called me and stated they were not able to re deliver the flowers. I spent a half hour on the phone with them again (2nd day in a row) reiterating the same issues/concerns. They offered me a whopping 38$ refund on a terrible $105 charge! I took it and learned a valuable lesson! Read the reviews first! It was very embarrassing especially telling my Stepmother she was getting another bouquet on April 18th just to find out it wasn't coming! All I wanted was what I ordered for her 80th birthday and they wouldn't make right on it! I uploaded a picture of what was sent. Looks nothing like the picture on the website.
My husband works out of state and wanted to get me flowers for Valentine's Day. So on February 13 he called Ava's flowers and he thought this was cool because my name is Ava. They guaranteed for sure the flowers would be there by the next day on Valentine's Day so he's purchase rather large almost $200. So do you think the flowers came on Valentine's Day? No they did not. Then my birthday was on 16 February and I waited and I waited. Do you think the flowers came on my birthday? No they did not. So I called. I had to call for my own flowers on February 17 to see what was going on. She claimed that that flower store could not fulfill the order whether it's the flowers he chose or whatever garbage lies that they give you. So here we are 1 o'clock on Saturday, and on their end, it saying the flowers are delivered, but on my end, I still have no flowers so I called them again on February 18. She claims the flowers will be here by 7 PM tonight. Do you think I believe or absolutely not. This Ava's flower shop is a complete joke. They lie to you they give you this flex delivery crap and talk about Covid and all the stuff it's just because they don't want to freaking work and do their job. So not only did I get no flowers for Valentine's Day no flowers for my birthday I also had to call to get my own flowers and they don't care is the thing they don't give you coupons they don't ask you if you want to refund nothing because they know they're scamming you. We will never ever order from this company again, and I hopefully you will read this and feel the same way and not be completely taken advantage of and spend a bunch of money. And I swear if the flowers do come today and there's crap flowers. I'm just gonna throw them in the garbage because they have all this crap about returning flowers on their website and refunds. It's literally a conspiracy a joke. It's best to just go down to the local Safeway and have them build you a flower bouquet which I wish my husband would've done in the first place but being he works out of state he couldn't do that he relied on an online company. This company supposedly drives in customer service and has all these awards. Those are obviously fake because who is supporting this company from looking at all the reviews their crap. So hopefully my review will find you before you spend all of your money on this crappy $#*! fake flower shop.
