I purchased a dvd box set of a television series I am a fan of and besides taking almost 3 weeks to come, when it arrived it had been sent from China (AUS dvds my foot!), the box had bad spelling and printing errors, the dvd case was a box sleeve but the discs were only in cd envelopes, there were no special features despite them being clearly advertised on the box, there was the television station logo and television shows advertising in the corner of the screen. Also they weren't excessively cheap enough to arouse suspicion of their legitimacy. I was reluctant to send them back as if they're that dodgy to begin with, what are the chances of a refund? I'm glad my spending was fairly minimal, unlike other unfortunate customers.
Purchased dvds that were zone 4 costing us $150 and they sent us dvds that are zone 2 which won't play on our dvd players. They promised fo the last seven months to send us replacements but still have not recieved. Bye bye my money.
They pass-off cheaply made bootleg DVDs as genuine, which is illegal as well as being dishonest.
The price of what I bought was not so low as to make one obviosuly suspicious and the photos appear to be of the genuine product. The first hint was the email after I completed the purchase telling me that the DVD's would be shipped from Hong Kong. Oops!
To my surprise, the DVDs actually arrived and in only 7 days. The packaging looked nothing like the add on the website and there were a lot of "Chinese English" spelling mistakes and other mistakes about the DVDs that as a fan of the show in question, I spotted immediately.
To my greater surpise, the DVDs worked well. The picture was crisp and clear and the sound was good, but they are obviously illegal copies.
Don't buy from these people.
I recently have purchased DVDs from a website: www.ausdvdshop.com. It was recently registered online. When I looked at the site, it was so appealing to me and I thought it would be legit. I've ordered a total of $145.00 AUD. Which was a real total waste of my money. I got scammed! The DVDs took almost 3 weeks to arrive.
The DVDs are fake, not geniune, the quality isn't good. There was one DVD that said blu-Ray... It wasn't even blu-Ray, those liars. Despite blaming myself for even purchasing. They shouldn't even put up a website like this to scam customers anyway. I do not recommend purchasing from this site because I know you will
Definately be as disappointed as I am. It is made in china by the way.
