“A good idea initially. Format changes make the site less and less relevant. Too bad! I”

I use to do really well looking for stuff on auctionzip, now more and more auctioneers list on liveauctioneer.com. Auctionzip use to be the place to go but instead of improving their site they made some, actually only, bad changes. What bothers me is the fact that they prevent the auctionzip banner on top from scrolling out of sight and force you to have it block your view to see what you want to look at. Other stupid ideas are the useless i on allowing you to like and store pictures, the fact that auctionzip lets auctioneers post the same auctions with a starting day/time even so the auction only starts days later. I drove on e to an auction in New Hampshire to find out that the auction was going to be three days later. What really bothers me that the take functionality away from users, the scrolling feature, forcing you to look at advertising. The way auctionzip is trying to force you to look at advertising is appalling…. I make it a point not to buy through auctionzip.com anylonger. I go to liveauctioneer.com to bid and buy as auctionzip does not deserve my business any-longer. It will only be a matter of time and they will go bankrupt or disappear and I can't wait…

AuctionZip now has a new website. Everything is all screwed up. You can no longer do local searches for specific items. The auctions no longer appear in chronological order auctions in April appear before auctions in March. Calendar no longer exist don't understand why they change things when it wasn't broken. The CEO probably is not paying attention to what is going on. It's been this way for several weeks. Call their offices no one seems to know what is going on. Trying to find an alternative to AuctionZip.

Have been using Auctionzip for over 10 years. They recently changed there format, and now its about the worst auction there is to navigate.

Auctionzip used to have a very useful calendar but seems to have disappeared. A message sent to them was not answered.

Many of the online auctions aren't really auctions. Specifically, US Jewelry Liquidators (and others that they run) offers jewelry and precious metals for "auction" starting at $1. The silver and Rolex watches never actually are sold. All of the silver "sells" for $20-$40 less than the low end of their estimate. The Rolex watches "sell" for approximately 60% of the low end of their estimate. These situations happen for all silver and all Rolex watches offered. It's simply not real bidding on these items. Maybe the other jewelry is legitimate?

Contacted Auctionzip to let them know. Was told to contact the auction house directly. Why is that my responsibility? The auction is listed on their site.

Unless you've got time to waste bidding on silver and Rolexes that you'll only get if you pay at least double what their worth then stay away from US Jewelry Liquidations.

This site is good to find local auctions, but the constant pop-ups are so annoying! If there were a better option I would use it.

Lesson learned. Bottom line do your research before purchasing! All if not most are crooks they over inflate starting bid, unrealistic appraise value. I have learned if they say $1000 - $2000 value means $100 - $200. The site caters to them as it's about the money. I have found that most items sell at what you could buy them for less or same after you factor buyer premium and shipping cost, some charge a handling fee, etc. I also suspect some buyers bidding online are part of the bidders driving prices higher. In fairness. Our Responsibility to research or if you find something you really want then your ok. They should have a feedback system on all auction companies and buyer's.

Ive had auctioneers send me broken items, the wrong, item, never respond or ship the item i paid for, and tack on exorbitant "handling" fees after the fact that were not mentioned in the auction terms prior to the invoice. Auctionzip CS will not help at all. They will refer you to the state licensing board but the licensing board cannot help if you and the auctioneer are located in different states. Always use a credit card if you do decide to bid online as that is your only line of protection.

AuctionZip does promote good auctions but they don't support thier customers. If you are the highest bidder it does not mean anything. The auction house accepts your bid but can decide not to sell it. This happened to me. AuctionZip would not help me in anyway.

This site is phoney when it comes to promoting auction listings. They claim to show you top viewed when in fact they are showing you those auctions that have PAID them to be placed in the top spots! Same with the bogus Most Viewed Auctioneer. All they have to do is call them Featured Auctions, instead of lying and saying their the most viewed. It's pretty obvious. They allow anyone to list claiming they're an Auction Company even though they don't conduct any auctions. They fail to even remove those who've gone out of business. They are there simply to make money anyway they can and not as a true auction listing service. It's fine if you want to look up auctions in your area, but don't believe their baloney about top viewed!

I won an auction for an 1864 Indian head penny and an 1858 flying eagle cent. The price including buyers premium and postage was $61.00. I paid for it through PayPal on April 25th and still have not received it. I am wondering what the hold up could be.
