Athens Hotel Suites

This hotel lost their parking contract so you have to find your own parking and wake up at 7:00am to feed the meter. The place smelled of Fabuloso, because they had just cleaned the carpets that were still soaking wet. When I was checking in the person helping me was sick and snot came out of his nose only to blow his nose again with toilet paper and not wash his hands. I asked for a refund immediately so I could find another place to stay and was told "Unfortunately we do not offer refunds". He then offered to carry my luggage up the stairs because there was no elevator. Our carpet was still soaking wet when we entered our room and we found rotting food in the microwave. We left for the evening and when we returned we found out the Dish TV did not work and the Wifi codes we were given did not work either. I proceeded to call the front desk only to find out when I picked up the phone it did not work either. I called the front office using my cell phone and the lady said she would be right up to fix the TV. She offered to move us to another room but by then I was so upset I was ready to go to sleep and find a new place in the morning. She talked me into moving to another room at 12:30 am which was annoying. The other room was better but I was still not happy and the phone still had no dial tone. The lady also offered to comp my next stay, but I said there was no need to because I would not be returning. She also gave me a set of dishes thinking that would make everything ok(which I left in the room). I'm normally a quiet person with not much to say, but we will not be staying at the Athens Hotel and Suites off Clay Street in Houston ever again.
