I had an ASPCA accident only insurance, which got my dog KILLED due to your agent's greed and stupidity...I really wish ASPCA and the money making greedy CEO dies of all the diseases from all the rescue dogs whose curse lands on you...not only are you all a stain to the poor rescue dogs, but even a big hindrance to us owners who are poor/can't afford a rescue dog, but still do because we love dogs...you really think all this KARMA is gonna let you live happily in this life and the next? If you have spokend to any spiritual guru, they will tell you animal curses are the worst thing a soul can encounter in its journey...animals are so innocent that you hurting one directly or indirectly is hugeeeee karma...and really hoping the Universe gets back to you all for this...FWIW this is the mail I wrote to your customer service...

No, but I canceled my policy with you guys. Note sure if anyone is going to listen: but I felt very betrayed and cheated...completely lost the trust in you...I know this will most likely be ignored as a one off case (or you are used to such issues- and you are used to ignoring in lieu of making undue profit)
I had an accident only plan- and my dog had two accidents,. Somehow the agent made it look like its illnesses...Felt like the agents were desperately trying EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to NOT PAY...if you guys dont want to pay your customers WhyTF do you even run an insurance business?
So after all the drama of 4 of my accident claims getting rejected, I finally called up and talked to some random dude, and asked: alright whatever, I want to switch to accident + Illness so that atleast my further doctor visits will be covered (i have had 6 doctor visits in a month- a terrible acident happened to my dog). He said sure, that is doable.instead of 26$ you have to pay 76$.and i said ok, whatever, after seeing my dog in pain, i was ready to do anything- we were just going to cancel the current accident only plan and sign up for the new accident+illness. That's when he drops the bomb: btw, we already know/ we smartly figured out from your accident notes- that your dog has an ongoing illness. So even if you move to accident + illness, we still wont be able to cover your current issue, because its a pre-existing condition by now.
Am like MotherF*ckers...on one side, it was a serious accident...which you called illness out of the blue- then when i try to upgrade my plan to something better, you say: wont cover it because you yourself called it illness and therefore its pre-existing.
THIS IS FRAUD TO THE ULTIMATE...either you need to do better training for your agents, or just pack up and go home if you don't want to pay out to your customers...WHy run a shop if you want ONLY INCOMING, and don't want to spend/keep finding loopholes
No wonder people are switching from you to Lemonade in mass. Even my minor doctor visits they covered under accident plans...stop being GREEEDY and for once think of genuine good to humanity and society and not just PROFIT...its all karma buddy... I really pay whoever made money of it, wont live to enjoy that money- because that is blood money/earned by getting my dog killed...maybe once in a while wake up, look in the mirror and ask yourself: is really money everything. Are you happy in life with all the money you made killing puppies?
PS: Please don't reply/apologize. I just have been hearing the same $#*! from your agents- its almost like every idiot repeats the same line/learned from the same school/textbook
Anyway I hope you will take note once you hear from my lawyer or the small claims court judge's subpoena

My daughter is having a baby and my puppy was 17 months old he was a house and outdoor dog. The carpet at my house was beginning to smell like a dog and i didn't have much time to spend with my dog; plus the baby is coming soon. So, i decided to give him up for adoption believing they would find him a great home. My dog have never been caged or chained for long periods of time. I had him since he was 6 weeks old and his name was Scooter. I paid $150 to give him up believing that was the best thing to do being i could no longer take care of him. The ASPCA people advised me that they would never kill him unless he was vicious or terminally ill. So, i believed and was certain that he would find a loving family because he was neither. He was happy and friendly with everyone and never bit anyone before in his whole entire life. Everyone he came in contact with loved him. The ASPCA reluctantly told me today they killed him after one week because he was growling and lunging and was being nippy with the staff that no one could enter the cage. I find that to be unbelievable and if true with the behavior specialist knowledge of dogs. Why they didn't take the time to adjust Scooter to a new environment. The ASPCA called me like three days after i gave him up and i missed the phone called immediately after i heard her voicemail i called her back. She made me aware that scooter had been nipping at staff but she said the behavior specialist had gotten the situation under control. When i tried to inquire more information concerning what would be the next steps concerning him being put up for adoption she stated they do not indulge or release any information about animals that have been released into their custody. I looked everyday to see if his picture was on the adoption site for almost 6 weeks. Everytime i called only would be a recording asking you to leave a message. Finally, i left a message with the executive director of the ASPCA here in Charleston, SC on Remount Rd. For them to have an associate to return my call and make it seem like I'm super duper special to be receiving this information cause normally they don't release information about dogs that have been given up for adoption. But they had no choice but to kill Scooter a week after he was there. I'm livid because they should have consulted me and let me know their plans and gave me an option to come pick him back up before killing him. His behavior issues was only because he was afraid. He never had been with anyone away from his home and caged before. I have a giant big backyard. He never was chained for him to lunged at them he must have been chained. I'm not sure what they did to my puppy but they didn't give him a chance to adapt to being restrained and restricted in a new environment. They lied and said they would never ever kill any animal unless vicious or terminally ill. My scooter was not vicious that is absolutely not true. Why not give me the option of coming to retrieve him if your going to end his life. He has never bitten anyone. I'm totally heartbroken.
