Horrible experience, no care about customers. Will never ever use this store. I do not reccomend it to anyone as well as it just steals your money and especially time. Bought 1 Christmas tree which wasnt happy with but decided to give second chance and instead of waiting for money to ban card I chose gift card and added another 100quit. Received item which again was horrible quality as it had 3different type of branches on one tree. Thats silly habitat brand. So finally now its 2weeks so far, no money, no item. Item was returned. F you argos

Monday 8 June you delivered me a Normandy 5 draw chest. In final assembly we realised that the top had "drop" damage. No luck at all on chat lines re. Covid too busy!
In the end wrote to Argos head office enclosing a receipt plus photo of corner damage. Still no reply. This not like Argos and I am now getting so fed up with this "no customer care line free to help"
Everything cannot be blamed on Covid, where can I speak to someone please who will help me. All your Argos stores are still closed too.

I finally got a call from a higher manager I was hoping for a better outcome, but he only offered me the same a collection and refund and a voucher and no replacement, I was very reluctant at first but I agreed with this as I could not cope with anymore stress and neither could my husband, and on top of this because it took so long I could not even buy the same shopping trolley on Argos eBay and get it delivered

Tip for consumers:
Basically keep trying

Products used:
I could not as it had parts missing

Ordered a washing machine - all other on line companies offer next day or 3-4day deliery. Argos offered me the earliest slot of 17 days. I was going away for 7 days so decided I could live with the wait and at least I'd have all my holiday clothes to test it on. 2 days before delivery they magically changed my slot to another 18 days out and asked me to confirm this was ok. 35 days wait for a ashing machine. What a joke. I cancelled. Now waiting for my money back - they have had my money for 20 days... thanks Argos...

In my opinion you judge a company by how it deals with things when they inevitably go wrong. Any half decent company has the majority of its transactions flow smoothly.

I have bought from Argos on many occasions previously and had no problems whatsoever.

My latest attempted purchase of a lawn mower was a very different process. Having taken my money I still hadn't received my purchase two weeks later. Trying to contact customer service and find someone prepared to take ownership of the problem. In the end I contacted my credit card company. My money was refunded.

Hmmmm where to start?! See what you want, do the search for your closest store ( and surrounding 50 mile radius) guess what folks... "Out of stock"! Grrrr seriously frustrating accept on the 2 occasions I selected an item that was in stock I had to return them due to shoddy workmanship (corner smashed on a coffee table because it was pine and had a wood knot close to the edge) and just failing to work (novelty light for daughter) I have given a 2 star review only because when I returned the items the staff in store were friendly and helpful.
Hense i have ceased to even click the Argos link while shopping

I have 3 children (12, 11, 8). I started looking at end September but was told by Argos staff - no problem goods would be available for Christmas! We never learn! Start of December - will be available shortly. 3 weeks before Christmas only available in stores that you have to travel long distances too, or not available in either type of store in N Ireland. Fed up, as if i had not spent another 5 days searching (as if i had the free time) i would not have been able to make a happy Holiday. How come an American company like Heelys can supply - no problem.
Sometimes good value but if you want to keep customers why would someone like me not just take the chance on-line, especially as Amazon seems so reliable. Now the rest of the year, Argos does deliver well, so how many years and bad customer reviews does it take for you to anticipate and tell your suppliers to man up (Supermarkets can and so can you) There is nothing like watching your children search for hours and pick their 3 favorites from your cataloges (thank you) only to find - not available. So come on, it's not like you haven't been doing it for long enough. Why is your management strategy so bad or have you decided you provide just enough and go enjoy your Christmas party. Sorry this review is not better, as i think Argos does supply a good service ordinarily. However, guess what, Christmas/Holiday, does happen every year and how long will it take for you to plan properly for it?
