“Wow! Unbelievable collection of resources!”

Chris S.

Found their tool to find defunct (no longer existing) websites. Use to use one and wondered what happened. Still gone, but was able to see screenshots of the old site. ALSO, WOW WOW WOW! Old magazines, books, movies, and SOFTWARE all legal! Such an incredible resource.

“Left-wing censors”

Sam J.
5/20/21

I was recently looking for an older article by Dr. Mercola (who is outspokenly against the Covid-19 "vaccine"), and guess what message I got: "This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine." So, if you run a popular Web site but are not gung-ho about vaccines and masks, then the Wayback Machine will BAN you. Pathetic. Just ban the Wayback Machine from your life instead.

The idea is awesome. Wayback machine has proven to be really handy when you need to check historical websites. Or just for nostalgia.

I mainly use archive.org it for downloading music from small weblabels which it is full of! But it is actually really messy, I can undestand why amateurs stay away from it as just finding the right link to click to to find the release can be a chore. It would be a lifesaver if the uploader could just choose one main link instead of a confusing list. Also the search does not allow Scandic letters.

But it's a free service that has extended beyond its original uses so one can't complain too much. I've found a lot of interesting music through it!
