Linda Rae, owner of the Arby's on the Golden Strip in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, is cruel and unfair to her employees. She treats them like objects at her disposal. Unless they're costumers and giving her money, they are not considered people to her.
She has admitted that her restaurant comes before her workers, and she fights those who ask for days off or changes to their shift, even if they're for important matters.
An employee, a convicted felon on parole, needed her hours shortened. If they weren't, she would go back to jail. Linda refused to shorten her hours and continued to fight her on it.
Carol, whom I can't remember the last name of, is a supervisor at this Arby's. Linda has admitted that she sees Carol eating around the food, plays on her phone, and talks instead of working on the cameras. However, she does nothing to stop it other than telling her employees to remind Carol not to do so.
Every employee I've spoken to at this Arby's is not afraid to talk behind her back, freely criticizing Linda's management. Not one person had anything nice to say about her.
I have been yelled at for not knowing how to use the fryer because no one had shown me how to do it, and I was told to "figure it out" by another employee. I have also been yelled at for including a sandwich in a combo, which I was not aware that it was no longer part of the deal, but was still listed on the computer anyway and had not been removed.
I needed to change my break from 12:30 to 1:25 because I had a 5 minute video conference with a doctor that prescribes my medication. It was important, but I was told that I wasn't allowed to answer this call because I'd be walking away from costumers. I got upset and stepped away to the bathroom so that I wouldn't cause a scene in front of everyone, and spent no longer than 3 minutes to clean myself up and went right back to work. I was then pulled aside by Linda and was told that my emotions were unacceptable, and that she "wasn't going to tolerate it". I told Linda that my appointment wouldn't take any longer than a bathroom break, and she laughed at me in a mocking manner and told me I was "talking back". I then asked to go home for the day because I was overwhelmed and shocked at her behavior, and she told me to hand over my uniform and fired me.
My panic disorder, anxiety, and identity had been violated multiple times. Linda has given me transphobic remarks, especially about my name, and threatened to call me by my legal name and change my nametag to it because I go by 2 different names. I had not forced anyone to call me either names, and had said multiple times that it was entirely up to them which one they choose, but Linda insisted I was changing it entirely and attempted to gaslight me into believing I had told her differently.
During Easter, I had already made plans to travel to New York to spend time with my sick grandmother, and asked for Saturday off. Linda questioned me why I needed Saturday off if Easter was Sunday, and made me confused to the point where I messed up on which day Easter was. She made fun of me and interrupted me as I tried to explain clearer, and only gave me the day off after giving me a fight.
I had been on my best behavior since my very first day because I needed that job. I was as kind to my co-workers as I physically could, learned from my mistakes, and continued to be eager to learn and get things right. Despite all of this, I was treated like an outcast by Linda Rae, of which was recognized by others, who often supported me. I used to feel bad for Linda, because I understand running a business is incredibly difficult, but how she treats others is disgusting.
This is about the district manager for the Pickens store. Here is a few reasons why Carolyn the D.M is hated. ( Liar, conniving, deceitful, greedy, and a $#*!ing tyrant that deserves no respect. It is absolutely unbelievable how Arbys H.R has allowed Carolyn to run rampant the way she does. Julee worked at the Pickens store and according to her patrons on the shift she worked just adored her. And I don't know if Joe Brummit, Bruce or whoever means a damn at that place, thinks that it is ok to try and hire people at 9 dollars a hour is acceptable. Well guess what Carolyn and whoever you are NEVER going to get anyone INCLUDING high school kids to work for 9 dollars a hour. Yall must think people are stupid, when you can go right down the road and get hired on at 15 dollars to start. No telling how many people has tried to explain this $#*! to that $#*!ing woman. Then when things backfire and the G.M can't get anyone hired, then Carolyn does the predictable $#*! and makes it seem like someone is incompetent. When in truth Carolyn and her little goon squad will never take ownership of any wrong doing because she is a greedy self centered person, that doesn't give a $#*! about anyone other than lining her own pockets. What Arbys H.R needs to do is do a little foot work and talk to the employees without prying eyes from Bruce or Carolyn and really find out how yall employees really feel about that woman. The greediness that comes out of this place is mind boggling. It's also ironic how Carolyn can come to a store and tell them how to run it, but she can't even take orders. I watched her take 3 orders from 3 different people and had no idea how to use the register, waited for Julee to.come.back from drive thru just to hand her the piece of paper and have her enter it. And that $#*!ing lady has the audacity to criticize someone. What Arbys needs to do is get rid of her force her $#*! into early retirement, take what money she has basically swindled from Arbys and enjoy it. If you don't believe me ask some of your outside distributors like the bread guy. And if Joe Brummit or Bruce condone Carolyn lack of respect for people under her. "SHAME ON THEM!. Despite whatever was told to H.R requarding Julee, yall lost a devoted and determined person to make the Pickens store the best store. But when D.M limit your resources, the fight is over with. Don't think also that yall haven't lost customers either. This I know for a fact. People came in there just to see Julee and have a sandwich while they where there. Carolyn mistake is she thinks people are going to change their whole lives because of Arbys. Well here is the wake up call. THEY ARE NOT!.
P.S) How has the Pickens sales been lately.
If I could give a negative review I would. The manager here Megan should not only learn costumer service bit learn food service. We ordered o e of there specials The arbys ranch roast beef 2/$8 and she denied selling it to us because we asked for no lettuce and no ranch. (there ranch is peppercorn and my mom can't do peppercorn or (and can't due the lettuce due to dental) She told me we can just pary full price for a classic roast beef with cheese then. I have never in all my years been told I can't subtract ingredients off of a food item. She was not nice about it and when I asked for her name she pointed at her name Tag Meghan you can see it says Megan. I have ordered many times from this restraint including when they have had specials I have ordered there roast beef n cheddar 2/$8 and have ordered with no cheddar and have never been told I must order the classic. This lady needs to learn her job or have some intense training. Because this is totally unacceptable. We cancelled are whole order and as long as she continues to be there we will go across town for a order before going here. She was very rude and not trying to come to a resolution at all. I am Manger it is my way only is the attitude I got. If you can not subtract ingredients the. It needs to be lites on the special. I have ordered many times and subtracted as my so. Doesn't do sauces or produce so whe. There chicken sandwich was on sale order this plain. (just S I was ordering plain today) and untill today was never told that I could not do this. I'd you want any type of subritiution I would not go to this Arby's. Absolutly Terrable. When I tried to ask her why. She said because it changes the special. I didn't ask to add anything just take stuff off. If she would of let us we would of even pulled the lettuce off. Just couldn't do the ranch but didn't give us the chance and my mom can't do the peppercorn and it was the principal of the matter NOT the cost. And the ladies interaction. We were ordering and the person taking the order all the sudden switched and became the manager and told me we couldn't do this and before that the order was being put in. I hope something can/will be done about this! Again if your sensitive to ingriedwnce and need taken off Do not go here. Ordering the way I dod actually saves them ingredients so they were not losing anything except customers
I am constantly at the store and I always have problems I can never get the correct food for instance well forget about the other times today I went there to get food for dinner my mother had just died I ordered my food the food came out wrong asked to get it fixed the manager rudely told me to pull around front then when she came around with the new euro sandwich there was no extra tzatziki sauce like I had ordered she refused to give me any and told me I was a liar and I did not order it that way I have never seen such poor customer service in my life I was the store manager for the Dennys on fifth S. In Salt Lake City my mother has just died and there's nasty rotten rude woman that they've hired as a manager for that store has been a problem more than once for me and if it's a problem for me there are many other guess having to deal with her nastiness also then I got home and I called her to let her know my Euro was not a Greek euro it was a turkey euro and did her cook hear me order that wrong also like she said when I was there a few minutes earlier calling me a liar so then she threatened to call the police on me because I'm calling to get my order done correctly to get my order done for what I paid for and she refused to even give me what I had paid for the sandwiches were wrong no extra sauce I will never be going to that Arby's again as long as that rude woman is in charge of that store she is a nightmare for customers and guess I have been in customer service for over 30 years and I have never seen such a horrible horrible manager very rude and very disrespectful towards your guests does that look like a Greek euro to you please help she should really not be in customer service she is a monster and I will never go to that store again I wouldn't be surprised if there's several complaints on here about her this was a very horrible experience my mother just died and then this monster comes out and treats me like garbage when I can barely hold it together losing my mother and she supposed to be the head figure of your store what a nightmare if you want good customer service do not go to the Arby's on Fairfield and Gordon in Layton Utah the store manager is aggressive and rude I do not know how she has that position she has absolutely zero customer service skills
Horrendous customer service at the Arby's in LAGRANGE GA, on NEW FRANKLIN ROAD. After they gave me the wrong food on several different occasions I went back to get a refund for the last screwup. The manager was aggressive, rude and extremely loud! She did give me the refund and then I was placing an order to go. The cashier could not even make change! The total was $13.03 and after giving her $20.10 she was so flustered she pulled out her phone and used a calculator to determine change and even then, gave me the wrong change! She couldn't even figure SEVEN CENTS CHANGE FROM 10 CENTS and still shorted my cash. I brought it to the managers attention that she might want to train her cashiers how to count change and instead of the manager thanking me, she started screaming at me that her employee does know how to make change which, I must reply, OBVIOUSLY NOT! I understand everyone makes mistakes, but this cashier couldn't use a Calculator either. After practically throwing my new order at me and making a huge deal out giving me my correct change, she told me "now you can go". I told her that I was reporting her actions to the owner and she jumped in with, "I'll give you the number. Well, needless to say, the number she gave me was BS. And the young girl that answered hung up on me when I asked for the owners name, and then refused to answer again.
I wouldn't go back to this Arby's for any amount of money. The last several times we have been there, the entire crew including the manager is clowning around so much that we ended up getting the wrong food every time. I hope that The owners of this Arby's sees this review and takes action. I noticed there are some positive reviews and I can only assume that they are put there by friends of the employees because everyone I know has horrible service there.
