I was a bit nervous from the last two reviews and hesitant in getting my credit reports. The overall experience was rather simple. I read carefully and understood and was able to save/print each report. When requesting your reports, Annualcreditreport.com opens an new link for each company, TransUnion, Experian and Equifax.

The only thing I could complain about that appears to have nothing to do with Annualcreditreport.com is finding the ability on each new hyperlink in printing the PDF version of the report. If you are computer savvy, then you can do a regular print command and then save it as a PDF or set you printer preference to pdf.

Total time spent getting reports was about 15-20 minutes.

As others have mentioned: make sure you have a copy saved before continuing onto the next report. You will not be able to return to it.

Good luck!

It is the first time I don't struggle finding how to check my credit report... this site is very easy to use, and free... I couldn't see my actual credit number, but I think it was because I am no really familiar with this website and it was my first time, but overall I felt very comfortable and secure using it... I recommend it.

This is the main site if you want a free credit report from one of the major consumer credit reporting agencies. If one does not have the time or interest, due all three during a one site view. However, you can spread it out over a year, if you have the patience and forethought. Also, you can request it in print. Yes, they will attempt to upsell to other service. NOTE: there are other credit reporting agencies or various ilks. Wikipedia has an overview article on this matter. The site came as a result through a change in a federal law near ten years ago, with much consumer insistence

So I am very wary of entering my full birthday or social security anywhere online. So I was wondering if this site is legit, I guess it is, I had to confirm with this site and www.ftc.org - http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/freereports/index.shtml. Basically you fill out one form about your personal info and you get a credit report, not a credit score, free, from three different credit companies... Equifax, TransUnion and Experian. When you get the report make sure to save it or print immediately, once you navigate away you can't get it back from that credit company again.
