Animal Jam is way to fun I can not get my eyes off it and I'd give it 100,000 stars! When I get on the game there is so much to do! Play this game and if you do not like the game then... play a different one. Have fun playing the game!

Hello. I have played animal jam since 2012 (no i'm not old) and i still play it to this day because it is classic to me and i never get tired of it. There are so many fun things to do, you can buy and decorate your dens, animals, and pets, you can trade, you can do adventures, you can socialize, you can do fashion shows and so much more. Ajhq is very good about the chat system and they don't let anything inappropriate get through, and nothing regarding personal info. There are three chat settings: bubble chat, where there are phrases you can click on that ajhq made, safe chat, where you can type from a large list of approved words, and safe chat plus "free chat" where you can type your own messages but ajhq is still not gonna let you say anything bad. Animal jam is a great and fun game for all ages, and there is lots of education involved. Ty for reading this -icyfrosting

I think animal jam is awesome because you can make friends and hang out with people and have a gr8t time.

No I'm not a ickybadhorrible or a everything'sgreatandperfect I'm one person who is not afraid to give an honest review pointing pros and cons and how much violence, sex, drugs, educational value, safety, and how much fun it really is

Is It Violent? Answer: I'd say two stars for violence. Some jammers do red patterns to imitate blood and say stuff like, pounces and gills or coughs up bloom (being blood since AJ is strict about language and kills is gills) but that rarely ever happens. So I wouldn't worry about it too much

Does It Have Sex? Answer: I'd say three and a half stars. Some jammers jump on one jammer that sleeps and that imitates sex, it used to have strip clubs, used being the key word. Matchmakers we're mainly a joke, sadly not a lot of people knew that, and overdid it. And people do have ‘puppies' but as long as they do it appropriately I don't think that's much of a problem. Some people may not like the adopting protocols, frankly neither do I, but sometimes it's just a roleplay when you can't find any others.

Does It Have Drug Imitations? Answer: I'm sorry but I have to say zero stars. It used to have drug imitations, a long time ago it had a LOT, back then the safety wasn't so great. But now, you'll have to risk doing it yourself if you want to see the words moonshine on AJ

Educational Value? Answer: Meh, four stars. Yeah it has little pop up facts, cool videos, nothing to impressive but yes, educational value.

Is It Safe? Answer: I don't know. I'm sorry but I haven't seen everything, it is pretty safe for people who know what their doing.

Is It Fun? Answer: Five stars! Of course it is! It's the funnest app in the world and the most addicting. You can't find something to replace Animal Jam!

This is a fun, kids game. It can be educational like how you can learn a lot about animals and earth.

I really like Animal Jam, its fun. But about all this scamming and inappropriate stuff, people just need to use common sense and stand up for themselves. AJHQ tries as hard as they can to ban all the hackers, scammers, and the people who do inappropriate things.

This game is the best. I recommend this for all children. My daughter comes to me everyday with amazing animal facts and fun experiences from the game. You should totally bye your kid membership.

The only bad part of this is that overprotective parents think this is a dangerous game, well if your child give their personal info to a stranger it's because they are dumb and all games are like that there will be some overaged user, but Animal Jam is the safest because the chat filter is amazing Animal jam keeps upgrading it making it almost impossible to say personal info and if you are super overprotective just give your child bubble chat! They can't say almost nothing with that.

Animal jam is my favorite game EVER! People say there are a lot of scammers and hackers but you can avoid that by simply being smart. If you do get scammed then animal jam listens to you and doesn't let that person play the game. I defiantly recommend it! It is fun, educational, and overall AMAZING! JAM ON KIDDIES!

Animal jam is a fantastic game! Overall theres bullies hackers scammers etc. its still a super good game! I have 550 friends on there! You should sign up ur child, the more fun the better! Sign up ur child for free! And dont complain about membership cuz thats what keeps the game running!

Animal Jam Is An Amazing Fun Online Game. I love to play it and I'm not addicted. I am only allowed to play electronics on Weekends and even then I only play for about an out an hour at a time.

This is a very fun game. Whilst educational it also offers alot of other choices to do in-game so you can also have fun. An amazing community with the chat system limited so it is hard to bully somebody unlike Roblox and other games. Highly reccomend it

Animal jam is a educational game for ages 5 and up. I have loved this game forever, and of course there are scammers hackers bullies, etc. And you can't escape that no matter what MMO you play. As long as you are careful with your account and personal information, Animaljam is a very fun game to play!

The problem with this game is the bullys, scammers and people who have so much time on their hands they spend it by being inapropriate online report the jammer not the game. Animal jam itself is a great game for learning about animals and fair trading.

This is an amazing game. All the people that complained about their kids getting scammed have no idea what's going on. It's pretty much impossible to get scammed unless you are a complete idiot. The chances of getting hacked are 1/100, no joke unless you piss a hacker off. There are ways to express yourself, and I met a really nice friend through aj. For those people who were concerned about profanity, the game has changed so any hint of aj mating is punishable by banishment. A warning to all that start out; ajhq is slowly trying to destroy the rare system, as it is the cause for 99% of scams. Thank you, and play wild!

Great game! My daughter loves to interact with her real life friends over the game! The learning ability from this game is amazing! 5 stars as soon as my daughter laid eyes on it!

I've been playing Animal Jam since 2011 and enjoyed it since. Always updated with fresh content, beautifully designed, and the community team at AJHQ work very closely with us and are always connecting with the community. Keep up the great work AJ if you're reading this.

I am a concerned parent... have seen positive and negative reviews about animal jam... so... what is truth?... and is national geographic a sponsor of this game?... please I do not want generalities... I would like facts... thank you...

Though many people say it's full of predators, scammers, bullies, etc. it's not. People find themselves at the wrong place at the wrong time. Also, with the moderation part, it's actually really hard to get banned or suspended. Membership is actually quite cheap compared to other games like club penguin or poptropica, it also HAS an educational value. Predators are very rare, but i have had a few experiences with them because I have been playing Animal Jam since the summer of 2010. And parents who are kind of strict with the concept of strangers. There is safe chat which will restrict curse words, swearing, and anything inappropriate. Also to get suspended or banned, you have to be saying whatever you want over, and over again. So if you say things like "Gift me, I'll gift back" a bunch of times, be warned you will get suspended for that. The safe chat considers it a form of scamming do they block the chat. I will admit that scamming has ruined the game a bit, but the only true form of scamming is using the trade glitch. Other times, like at giveaways, it's just you trusting someone who can't be trusted with your items and being so surprised that they locked you out of their den. Also problems with pedophiles, simple fix. Report and block them. That easy, a five year old could do that. There is also an option to close jam-a-grams, buddy requests, etc. Also to cancel a membership go to your parent account and cancel it there. By the way, members don't brag or talk trash about the non-members (unless they are spoiled) Members aren't really that bad as others say they are. In my opinion animal jam is a great game, which is friendly for the younger and the old. If I were a parent, which I am not, I would gladly sign my child up for this game and buy them a club membership.

Alright, so, MMO for kids, what could go wrong?
Well, LOTS! I want to make this quick, though, so I'll just go through some of the issues parents have had with it in the past...

1) OMG NO MODERATION! MY KEEDS'LL FIND THE STALKERS! 11!:(
Hmm. Fair enough. There are a few people of an older crowd here, including myself- but that's not to say we're old! I'm a bit old for the game, and I've started phasing out of it, but is 13 years old too old to enjoy something innocent? You can decide that for yourself, really, but there are no 20 year olds playing this.

2) SECURITY?
Here are the updates that involve Safety that have been made in the past few years:
-Chat filter upgrades (Two. You can't even say regular things anymore, it's that good :P)
-Username Verification (The New Jammer status is now applied for longer so that your username can go through an upgraded filter. This takes around 2 weeks because of the server load. Old usernames that violate the rules were changed to Jammer[random character sting])
-Undercover moderators? (I can't confirm this. But I have lots of evidence)
-Community improvements (Not an upgrade in code, but an upgrade in togetherness :) )

3) OK FINE BUT WHAT ABOUT THE MATESS?
People used to "mate" on this site apparently? You guys must be reeealllyyy unlucky to find that because I have never seen it happen, nor have any of my friends. Or buddies, for that matter. I mean, it's a different story if you try and seek that out... but moderation has improved so much, I cannot fathom something like it in the present day.

My kids love playing on Animal Jam and it's one of the few sites I trust for them to be on. Created with National Geographic, my kids are safe online, I can manage their chat settings in a parent panel, plus they learn about animals and nature while they're playing online.

We recently purchased memberships from our local Target store - my kids saved up their allowance, that's how much they love this game!
