“Not an active Amway Distributor”

Jim R.
5/27/21

The current star review of Amway is no way close to accurate and probably based on agendas other than portraying factual information. 1. Customer Service - On products I have ordered from Amway, should I have a question or concern, I was always greeted by a friendly and courteous voice. Should that person not have full knowledge for a complete answer, I was put in touch with a product expert than genuinely new the product and not just read from a screen. The transfer time was never over 3 minutes. My questions had always been answered on the first call. 2. Product Quality - Every product I have purchased from Amway (or one of its distributors) has been of the best quality. I have found that the Amway product line uses solid quality ingredients and perform as described. Most all Amway products are backed by a 180-day no questions asked, money back guarantee. You don't even need to pay for any return shipping. Amway pays for it. 3. Return Policies - This is where Amway excels. Most every Amway product is guaranteed for 180 days. I had ordered a case of Chocolate Protein Shakes. When they arrived via FedEx, I was given a leaking trash bag containing what was left of my order. Obviously it was damaged in transit. I called Amway Customer Service and in under 10 minutes I had a replacement order sent free of charge. Amway did not request any proof of the damaged shipment or that I return what I had received. 4. Amway's distribution model is via multi-level marketing. So what. Practically any product you purchases comes to you through multi-levels. If you don't think so, you need to study business organization and supply chain dynamics. Don't forget marketing and advertising. In fact, Amway has some very stringent rules by which distributors must abide. I am not a "multi-level marketer". I am an "affiliate marketer" with several large brands (not Amway, though). Others can become "affiliate marketers" by using my affiliate link and I thereby will receive a commission on their sales (down to a certain level).

MML. Worst business model ever. Dreadful leaders with dreadful attitudes. If Amway ABO's are suppose to be Independent business owners while been self employed then why has Amway got so much control over their ABO's? ABO's are also not allowed to advertise products on different platforms ( Facebook etc) which leaves me thinking they are hiding something. Avoid at all costs.

I was approached to be part of a business, but was not told what that business was. When I found out that it was Amway, I pulled out of their seven-step selection process almost immediately. I didn't find out until close to the end of the selection process. I am sure they have reasons for not telling me who they are, but it doesn't instil confidence in me if you are hiding who you are.

The bad reveiws on here didn't help either. They really need to change their approach - didn't work for me!

I got the instructions on how to do the edit online from their customer service. Hence it has to be done within an hour after the order was placed:

Log into Amway.com and go to the Account Menu, where it says, "Hi, Your account", then click on Order History. Select the Order > View / Modify Order Details. "Modify" will disappear when the hour is up. Make your edit, then select "update" to finalize the order, then select the Retry Authorization Button.

(Note: You can edit anything (order setup, delivery details, payment type, coupon). The order will update automatically & new totals will be at the top. Only the primary applicant I/C and I/C who owns the credit card (unless it's shared with the account) can edit the order. If another I/C tries, the View/Modify details button will not appear.)

My experience with Amway has been nothing short of a disappointment across various aspects of their service. Firstly, the product delivery process has been subpar at best. Packages often arrive in questionable conditions, with damaged items and inadequate packaging, leading to concerns about product quality and integrity.

Additionally, the behavior of their customer service staff has left much to be desired. I've encountered unhelpful and dismissive representatives who seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns. Their lack of professionalism and customer-centric approach has been a major letdown.

Furthermore, Amway's track record in delivering quality products has been questionable, with several instances of receiving substandard items. The inconsistency in product quality has eroded my trust in the brand.

Overall, my experience with Amway has been marred by poor product delivery, inadequate packaging, and unimpressive customer service, making it challenging to recommend their products or services to others.

It's been 20 years since I was approached with this "business opportunity". The person giving the lecture said we are not Amway. We sell Amway products.
After I put out the just under $200 to join, a lot of money to me back then as I was a cashier making minimum wage. My sponser laughingly said it's Amway!
I was shocked so young and gullable.
I know nothing of thier products as I was told the whole point was for me to get someone else to join. Then I would move up a step and start making money.
I wish I would have known about selling products. Then I wouldn't have wasted all my time just trying to get someone else to join.
Of course I quit when I realized I was wasting a lot of time here.
The whole purpose was to chase money. They would have meetings displaying beautiful cars and yachts for you to drool over and tell you keep it up and this can be yours.
At that time I was worried what would Jesus think if he comes back right now and Im chasing these things instead of seekung Him?
Amway is all consuming.

This is a Network Marketing Company ( MML). They think everybody is fools. My mam and my sister worked for Amway for 4 years. Around 3 years ago Amway changed their business model. This is where the problems started. Their new business model is now utterly ridiculous. Amway distributors now have to go out and do conversations everyday with members of the public. So start chatting to the public and see will it lead into a business meeting. If the public become interested you then have to bring the person through a 7 step process with your sponsor while not telling the person the name of the company until the very end. If at any time your sponsor feels the person isn't suitable for the business, they will filter you out in a nice way. How nice of them. They seem to be picky and choosey at who they let onto their teams. If you get accepted onto the teams and you accept, then you have just entered hell. You then have to buy books, audios and you have to attend seminars every month and you have to attend 3 conferences per year which are held in different countries while paying for the books, audios, seminars, conferences, flights, hotel and food all from your own pocket. Then sponsors ask you to put in a £300/600 order per month buying products you don't need just to please them. This is not making money. It's loosing money. Even right through the Pandemic, sponsors expected distributors to pay for all this. They didn't care about distributors who lost jobs, loved ones etc. All sponsors wanted was BIG MONEY. Both my mam and sister felt brainwashed from listening to audios, reading books, attending seminars / conferences. Most of the Amway distributors are obviously brainwashed. If my mam and sister had of stayed working for Amway, it would have cost them £6,000 each per year to work for this company. My mam knows of distributors who are 15/20 years with Amway and they are stone broke and driving around in old cars all from investing money into this company. Sponsors tell you that any money you invested into Amway is an investment into your future but to me this looks like an never ending investment. Amway distributors are self employed independent distributors but they are been controlled by their sponsors. Sponsors are telling them what to do which shouldn't be the case if your self employed. So anybody thinking of joining this company, please do your research first. You won't make money. It was a nightmare for my mam and sister especially the new business model. They're new business model seems to be very shady and hidden. Be very careful. AVOID

Heavy boxes from Amway left at my house, I ran after the driver but he sped off as I was running after him with a very heavy box sent to the wrong address. Then I discovered that the other heavy box was also from Amway. I called Amway but couldn't get through. I called up the person who ordered the goods and told him he would have to get the packages since they were too heavy for me to move. I hurt my back trying to move these boxes. They are clearly marked with the address. Can't Amway hire someone who can read? I hope the owner gets theses boxes because I am not moving them.

Are you kidding me? Only people at the top actually make make money. The money make is off of selling books and other things at conferences. 99.9% of people just lose money through this.
