Thanks Mike M and Kirk K, I have just had the same interaction with a young lady stating that her family is from Taiwan but now living in Beijing and owning a beauty saloon. Just like you, we meet on another site, a few emails, then poor understanding Of English and wants to use a live translator at ALoveTree. I am really glad to find your posting and had to add mine. I will also give notice to the other dating site on this young lady. Good luck folks.

Hello All

I have experienced exactly the story as Kirk did. But she (or he) came from Beijing China and had a beauty shop there. Her English language was okey for many many letters, and suddenly is was better to use this website to use people translation. I did not pay, because I am used to scam, so I said no thanks and in the next e-mail she send, she said "I give up". That was it. I was pretty sure it was a scam, until I read Kirk's story.
Please save yourself time and money and stay away from this website ALoveTree.com.

I spent some time on Rosematch.com and later on found out that most of the current active model type profiles are all fake. A few guys on that site informed me, also found out this site is exactly like the other, same people, same fraud site. A few women by the name of YangYing and also Baijingying create profiles and run alot of them, I had to do an image search and found out myself, I wish alot of those other guys knew, Be aware!

A total scam; don't bother with this site. I read several reviews for another dating website, asiandate.com, and it seems both sites have a lot in common.
This my story about alovetree.com which is another website for finding a Chinese wife. I met someone on another website and we exchanged a few e-mails. She said she was from Taiwan but owned a beauty shop in Beijing. I gave her my personal e-mail address and we exchanged several letters. There was no indication that she did not understand English. After that I didn't hear from her again so I moved on. About a month later she e-mailed again saying she found my e-mail in her junk folder and apologized for not writing. She said she did not understand English very well and referred me to this site which would translate our messages. I was leery but thought I would give it a try for a little while. This site has different levels of credit (coins) you can purchase for the translations. I paid $47.50 for, I think about 50 credits. Everything seemed to be going well for awhile, I would pay to translate my messages but to save money I would use a free translation website to translate her letters which worked well enough for me. Shortly into it I began to feel that her letters were a copy and paste. "She" might mention one or two things about my previous letter or answer some of my questions but other than that the rest of the letter would be very general. I began to notice that many times she wouldn't comment on anything I wrote about. She never asked about where I was from, what I did for a living, what my family was like, nothing. Most of the letters talked about our beliefs in being honest, truthful, good communication, etc. There longer this went on, the more suspicious I became. Finally I asked her to send me some more pictures of herself which she said she would do. But after about week, still no pictures. So I asked her again to send more pictures and also asked if we could meet on webcam whether it be Skype or QQ. The next letter she sent mentioned nothing at all about my requests. At that point I knew I had been scammed and immediately cancelled my account. After doing some investigating, I realized her e-mail address was from a g-mail account which I discovered is blocked in China. This was several days and to no surprise, I have not received one letter from this person again. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I only spent about $145 before figuring this out. I put in a request with Paypal for a refund but I sincerely doubt I will see this money again.
Guys, save yourself time and money, do not use this website, it is a total scam.
Update Feb 27,2015
I was able to receive full refunds from this company albeit no explanations or apologies.
