Placed and order and 2 days later called because you did not even attempt to call the vet for the RX. This is necessary MEDICINE not a toy. The rep put me on hold multiple times and all he could offer were apologies. Shipping was supposed to be 1-3 days yet 2 days passed and they had not even attempted to call the vet. Won't be purchasing anything else from here. They don't seem to know that medicine is NECESSARY.

On autoship and they are chargins me $100 instead of the $62 listed price on their website! Beware. You could be paying almost 2x the cost for autoship. So much for advertised cost savings! Called an they said the price went up; even though their website advertised the $62 price! Pathetic! You might save on first autoship; but watch out for the following price hikes!

I have two of my 5 dogs in the allivet system. I get Simparica Trio and Carprofen through Allivet as it is cheaper than my vet office. I have yet to place an order in the nearly two years with them that does not require me to call and fix a problem. I placed a re-order of a prescription from 6 months ago and it still got messed up. They submitted the same dog (larger) twice for the Trio order to my vet, which meant they couldn't fill it. Calling customer service was frustrating and irritating. The CS rep apologized "for the misunderstanding" (they just faxed incorrectly, no misunderstanding) but although the words were said, the indifference came through loud and clear.

I have an order still pending since 8/15/2023,,,, and it says 'PENDING FULLMENT'. So WHAT is the holdup? I have called and the person on the line that I could barely understand said they must be busy. YA THINK? I am getting incredibly upset as this is not the first problem. I won't even go into the Meds processing that my dogs require. Allivet was recommended by a friend... some friend.

First, they do have good prices BUT if you need customer service forget about it. Call centers not helpful and clearly based in India. After three calls to people I could not understand I gave up. I then tried the online chat three times over the span of several days and never got a reply from their end. It was during their stated service hours. I then wrote an e-mail detailing the above problems. They replied they were sorry for the experience and it wasn't up to their standards and someone would call me in 24-48 hours. That was 4 days ago, have heard nothing. I run a senior dog rescue and have 31 dogs. I will be moving my business to Chewy as the current Rx's expire. They are a bit more expensive but get responsive customer service when needed and I am willing to pay some extra for that.

Prices are ok, some of the items do NOT work, but that is the manufacturer However the SCARY5 $5 off promo DOES NOT WORK The items purchased are not on the excluded items... The last promo I got from their email did NOT WORK. So just be prepared to pay the full price and NO DISCOUNTS

Again! Multiple emails saying vet has not responded, while vet proves otherwise.
Is good price worth the delay in getting badly needed meds?

I purchased Albon per my Vets recommendation. I have been disappointed by Allivet's customer service now and in the past. The pharmacists do not work on Sat. To dispense our animal families much-needed prescription medication. It takes way too long to get the meds out of the building and into the mail. When I had customer service call the pharmacist for assist he had an uncaring response. How sad... I do not recommend Allivet. In this day and age customer service is so very important. It is much more important than the price for my fur-family.

I used Allivet for years to order my senior dogs prescription drugs. Unfortunately the last 6 months the invoiced did not indicate that payment was made and had a balance. Our pet insurance won't accept this as proof of payment. I had to call to get an invoice that indicated a balance of zero. Too much of a hassle and they wouldn't fix it. I had to switch pharmacies. I don't have time to call every time.

I am on an auto refill every two weeks. One of the prescriptions that my dog requires did not show up. I find out, after calling, that there is a back order, allowing me no time to find another source for this medication. They were not very empathetic and there has been zero follow up on their part. I was promised an expedited delivery once back in stock. That never happen.

Used to be good. Now orders constantly screwed up. Difficult to reach by phone and emails. No communication.

You constantly send emails claiming "Get the lowest price guaranteed" but that is only for the very first purchase. After that the price goes up and is no longer the lowest price that I can find on the web. That is false advertising. If I didn't have to go through the process of getting a new R/x from my vet and then sending it in to one of your competitors, I would not continue to purchase my pet's meds from Allivet.

The product I ordered came quickly and appeared to be unexpired and what I ordered. HOWEVER, I did not put the item on auto ship. Today I see a charge on my card today from Allivet. When I signed in to the site it shows the item "shipped" and on auto ship - just like other reviewers said. I won't order from them again.

Be extremely cautious they don't put you on auto ship without alerting you

I signed up to order a product that was less expensive than my local vet. I was to get a prescription from my vet. I placed an order and was given the address to send the prescription to. My credit card was charged immediately in part. This co. Should have waited until I sent the prescription before making any charges on my card. Not in my opinion a way to do business.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure you understand they will make a charge on your card even though they are waiting for your prescription from your vet.

My experience with Allivet was decent for the first two years I used them but has been going downhill since then. I have had orders held up for two or more weeks several times and have twice received orders with quantities different from what they claimed was shipped (too many in one case, too few in another, the latter being the expensive one, of course). They have claimed several times that my vet would not/did not respond to confirm prescriptions but my vet was able to show me fax receipts to prove they did and in another case said that Allivet never contacted them (Allivet in that case claimed that my vet told them that they would no longer provide fax confirmations. NOT TRUE!). The worst is lack of communication: Allivet has not been notifying me of holdups and waits until I contact them to then claim it's the vet's fault. The support people don't seem to give a damn: I get the "that's the way it is, you'll just have to wait until we're ready" attitude. Today, after not receiving my latest order after waiting 12 days, I found out that it was still waiting on a "response" from the vet. I ended up cancelling it as well as two standing orders and switched over to Chewy.com. Within 20 minutes, they had contacted my vet and the order is heading out tonight - with two emails letting me know what is going on.

Well I started my dog on Metacam from Allivet not realizing it was a product of Mexico. My dog has used Metacam from my Vet for 2 years for leg pain with great results. After about a little over a week my dog has developed excruciating pain. I don't know why as the only thing different I changed was adding the new bottle of metacam. I found out from a Vet that Mexican products are NOT REGULATED! And I read too that some of their employees are not credited to work in pharmaceutical. So currently since last night I have purchased a new bottle from my vet. Had to give him a double dose last night because of his pain. This morning gave him the new dose again along with his other meds, he has not cried out.
Had I known Medacam came from a unregulated location, I would have never purchased it. I had called them 2 times on the rediculious smell that's unusual. The last call was to corporate and they claimed normal. I'm taking this bottle to a compounding pharm to see if they can identify what's in it.
It's just strange this happened after Allivets usage of metacam.
I've been through too much for the past 5 days! Don't know what to do. Going back to the Vet in the morning..

I apologize that your dog seemed to have a reaction, however I promise you that the product is sourced directly from the manufacturer and not Mexico. We at a. Pharmacy certified pharmacy and are therefore prohibited from selling non-regulated product.

I received an email saying to use promo code stocks on my next order. When I put that code in it would not take, said invalid or expired. Very disappointed, I may chose a different pharmacy next time.

My auto-ship failed due to credit card fraud. Received no notification from company, waiting for food that was never going to come. Setup a new auto-ship with new credit card, it was cancelled by company, order failed again. Ordered direct, asked them to expedite order, no response. Ended up buying local, costs a bit more but peace of mind worth it for me.

I came back to using Allivet because my local vet was out of a needed prescription. I hustled to get my documentation in on Friday and called early Monday to see when it would ship. I was told it was being escalated and would go out same day. Later in the day, it hadn't shipped and I called to be told I had done everything right but there was an error on their end. Tues, still not shipped... again, issues on their end and going to be escalated. At this point, if it ships Wed, it will have been 5 days to even leave the facility (plus the 3-7 for actual shipping). And by calling all over town, I found the same medication in person myself in the meanwhile. Yes, it's cheaper at Allivet but that doesn't do any good when they're not actually sending it out. It's super frustrating to have a senior pet with ever changing medical needs and not be able to fulfill things reliably.

Ordered Saturday and delivered date was Monday, March 12 when tracking the shipment it told me delivery would be Saturday the 17th. Was not delivered until Monday the 19th. Standard shipping should not take 9 to 10 days from Florida to Pennsylvania. I have been a customer of allivet for quite some time but I am considering shopping around now.

In March I mailed in prescription for medication for my cat. Today I have learned that this prescription never was uploaded to my file and now I need to do it all over again. When I spoke to their customer service in March they told me where to mail.
Well, now I do not even want to deal with them any longer. They just lost their customer because of poor case management.

It took them 5, yes, FIVE, days to get the shipping label printed and finally sent it out 6, yes, SIX, days after we placed the order. The product listing should have informed one of such an inordinately long shipping time. There is simply no excuse. Will never order from them again. Thankfully there are many other places that are comparably priced, but with much faster shipping times.

I clicked on an ad for Heartgard Plus for my dog, shown for $49.75, and the site prepared a quote (with free shipping and no tax) of $54.99. I will call them and see if they will honor the ad and credit me back the extra $$ i paid. Who reads this review? Does anyone at Allvet see it? Does my name and contact info from my order show up on the Allvet manager's screen? If so, please straighten this out for me.

I ordered lacted ringer in constant contact with my vet. So he was sure to approve quickly. Unfortunately my vet was out and he couldn't get any until Monday. I ordered from Allivet knowing they are always good about getting this stuff out very quickly and figured it would be here before the weekend. I ordered tuesday with extra shipping fee to have it in two days. This isn't something that is controlled or that has to be counted, however it still never shipped from Allivet until Friday. And of course with a shipper that doesn't do weekends. So even though I paid almost as much in shipping to get it here quickly as I did for the actual product it will not be here until Tuesday. Which now will be 4 days to late as I lost my baby on Friday. Thanks for being so prompt on something so vital. Very upset very disappointed and wish I could just refuse when it gets here. It isn't going to help her now.

Every time I tried to check out, the site wanted me to enter more information... They are lucky I stayed. I won't tolerate that again... if it does not accept my order, I'll find another site that will.
Next, sends me an email with a $45 price and when I go to the site, it ended up $60. Did NOT end up buying item.

I always have to call in and explain the system will not allow me to sign as a returning customer. It will read... this email is already in the system. Duh! I am trying to use FORGOT password as a way to get my order. So I call in and your rep give me a 5 digit number!... repeat, repeat, order after order. Also. Stop putting my orders on AUTO... this must be a company practice.
