Very impressed w/ orderly arrangement of products for sale, e.g., music, books, movie, etc. Makes sense! Also, the choice of sellers is easy to understand & navigate--I contacted one book seller Solr by email to find out if the used book they were selling was highly dusty (allergies) & they emailed back w/ details & evident concern. Alibris is now my "go-to" source for great prices, selection & quality of sale. Thanks for doing a great job!
Very Difficult to change shipping address. Had to quit internet browser and log back in again. Shipping choices limited. I know from past purchase that independent sellers can take their sweet time shipping items and often do. Why does alibris appear to charge at 1st class parcel rates and deliver at slower and cheaper media mail rate? Delivery window excessively wide.
This one was simple as always. Had an issue or 2 during a Dec. Order. Was refunded for an LP I didn't order. But never recieved the cd of Silver Morning from. For some reason when I reviewed details. That says returned as well. So I lucky found another CD for Silver Morning and placed the order. This should run smooth. Service has been great but you need to be patient when an issue arises. They will take care of it just tales a little longer than expected. Thank you!

Problem Is with last order. Oredered 2 CDS by Kenny Rankin one came as described the other CD descried on my order came as a vinyl. I have no use for this and the CD was to be a gift in a few weeks. This is the first error that has happened with HPB-Ruby in Texas which I gave high marks until now. Not sure as to how this will be handled since they are showing no more CDS of Silver Moon in CD version available. This was to be a gift to my 89 year old mother. She heard my copy and wanted one
To see if they can help with this is. I'd like the proper cd but if not possible refund for album $22.65 7% tax, shipping and not aharges to me to return thhis album I NEVER ORDERED.
So far I have been VERY pleased with the condition of the CD's I've ordered.

I've found some great books through Alibris over the years - glad to see Amazon hasn't obliterated this store.
If I had anything I'd say was disappointing, its the fact your PayPal portal will only accept transactions in US dollars.
I've done innumerable transactions using PayPal, and cannot recall the last time I wasn't able to transact in Canadian dollars.
Please update this.

All is good, but I am a bit perplexed as to how you can charge a book to my 'PayPal account' without any input from me (going to PayPal, and clicking on the verifications to make sure it's me). Not that I'm complaining (EZ peasy)... but this is not how I purchase on Discogs or Amazon or ThiftBooks. Note: I'd give you five stars-- but with my question, I bring it to a four-star. If you answer me back, we'll be up to five stars on the next order! Thank you.

Was sent a reminder for a coupon in my Email. But I did not use the coupon (the purchase requirement was too high -- $5.00 off for $125.00 purchase. Still, I bought $14.00 worth of books I wouldn't have if I wasn't reminded by Alibris through my Email.
Lost my coupon discount because I wasn't sure when to add the code (I missed the point at the end, right before purchasing). Tried to enter the code beforehand, but code was rejected. Lost a $4.00 discount...(sigh). It would be nice if you could credit me on the $4.00 coupon...(at least that is what I would like!).

I love Alibris as I can almost always find the book I am looking for in good condition. Over the years, I have made some very exciting finds! I don't know how Thriftbooks does it, but I can often get free shipping at their website which is an incentive to buy through them. Could Alibris possibly do the same thing? If so, I would purchase only from you.

I love Alibris! I have found so many out of print books on Alibris that were priced well and in great condition. I seldom buy a book on Amazon because I can get just as good a quality at a much lower price.
I could find the books I wanted in excellent condition at a much lower price.
Success in final purchase is a 5; but with several times there were roadblocks while attempting to obtain help along the way. I know it is not desired for customers to experience negativity, but possibly some could be addressed and changed. There were a few loops which negatively captivated efforts thwarting success.
They are probably rare. You are "practically perfect in every way" (Mary Poppins).

Fairly easy shopping. I wish I could have seen what the sellers stars really meant -- like wrong product sent or not in correct shape, etc.
Dont mind paying for shipping, but dislike that "trackable" shipping is extra. Extra for expedited shipping, certainly, that's reasonable. But trackable shipping is a basic service and should be provided without having to pay for expedited shipping in order to be able to track my package. Otherwise, website is clean and understandable, and PayPal is provided as a checkout option, without which I would not have ordered. Thanks!
Lower price than Amazon.
I couldn't get the website to accept my postal code. When the 6 digit alpha numeric national code field was filled in consistently with your instructions it still kept asking for a number.
Otherwise the website is good.
I like the updates on a product search that last for a long time. For readers who want a bargain it works out well to wait until the vendor puts it on clearance pricing. Proving that good things come to those who wait:)

Quick and easy earned five start! But confusing shipping therms almost made me NOT to complete my order, this a lost star. The confusion was about "free shipping," which was supposed to show after I add $40 worth of books. Once I added $40+ worth of books the shipping hasn't changed to free until the final step (after I logged into PayPal). There's definitely disconnect here...

Good. Having shipping address auto-populate in available mailing addresses would be good. Also changing state field on the address form to a drop down menu of states instead of requiring two letter abbreviations, but not listing that requirement, would be good. I had to go back and change it because it didn't tell me that I needed to use the abbreviation originally. Nothing major, though.

I was uncertain how the free shipping worked left msg about it because I qualified for it but it wasn't was adding it on anyway. I finally decided it might not remove shipping costs until you actually make the payment some sites do it just before, well it did remove shipping costs and all is well. There are good deals here and even better ones if you qualify for free shipping. Will shop he again no doubt. Thanks

It would be great if shipping costs were specified for each book. Always winds up with astronomical shipping costs compared to what I was expecting because they all come from different sellers I guess.

The online shopping is great. My issue is with the shipping, both from Alibirs and independent sellers; people have gotten lazy and no care is made to properly wrap books. I have received brand new books, from Alibris, that come dinged and banged up because they were just slipped into a package without any wrapping. Please fix this!
Found multiple used copies of a book I need for a workshop I'm giving.
I've been an Alibris customer for over 10 years. Overall, I have had a good experience, but there are a few things that keep me from giving 5 stars.
Some sellers don't do a good job of protecting the books before they are placed in the shipping envelope/box, and this causes them to arrive banged up and dented. This is especially infuriating when it's a new book. I think Alibris should insist to its sellers that they do better or they cannot sell on here.
On my last order, books that I purchased straight from Alibris, not from a third seller, arrived several days after the USPS tracking said they had been delivered. It was probably not Alibris' fault, but it's happened twice now. If this continues to happen, I will take my business elsewhere.

I wish you would be more straightforward about your shipping. I ordered two books from the same seller, Alibris, and it doesn't look like a reduced rate to me. Also, it always feels like "free shipping" is an elusive target. I have not gone forward with a number of sales just because I was tired of dealing with your shipping costs
