One might think its easy enough to review camera footage in a maximum security facility. My advice, dont get rushed onto a plane and dont lose your stuff. I am out $2030 dollars because of this cash grab (2000 for laptop and 30 for service). I am not one to linger with personal items and I've moved on, but don't let this BS service steal 30 dollars from you and give you false hope that you will find your item. My advice: travel light and have a double checking method before entering the plane that you are being rushed onto. Pretty sure they think if you can afford a plane ride you can afford to lose something valuable to you in their rushed, lazy, and unsympathetic system. Air travel is the epitome of privilege and capitalism. $#*! you.
Because you will never get anything back. On top of that, you will lose some money. They play on emotions. By all means call the airlines and the airport lost and found. No cost and you might actually get your item back. These guys only find one thing... a way into your wallet. Grieve your loss, protect yourself and don't file with them. That $29.99 can be put to much better use.
Their emails and quick but it's all a template email. My bag was identified by a restaurant and turned over. I contacted them immediately. Every response and email was from a template. I truly believe they have no way of even attempting to look for your bag. This is a scam.
Totally in inefficient. The Castra Security delivered my 2 laptops to list and found and they have misplaced my 2 laptops and i have lost 2 real estate deals. They lost and found hides behind the fact that they can not be reached directly. Every other department at the airport security kicks the can and respond with file a claim. They have done their Job and out of my Control. Next they will off you a small token of money to dies not cover replacement nor loss of income of other.
Tip for consumers:
This is a terrible system and this is a corporate problem not government.

Never received my computers back when they were found by Castra.
Reported our list item on 6/6/22. After supplying photos and full flight info, item was still not found after 30 days. They say if your item isn't found after 30 days then you get a full refund. I originally paid through PayPal. After repeated promises for the refund from my 'case worker' they advised that there was an 'unidentified problem' when trying to refund my PayPal? They said they would send a cheque in the post instead. Thank god for PayPal as I reported the problem with them. They contacted the seller who failed to respond but refunded me in full anyway.
The item list was my daughters cat soft toy which was bought for her when we had to have our pet cat put to sleep 3 years ago. This item had no monetary value but massive amounts of sentimental value. As the time lapsed is now over 2 months, the airport have advised there's nothing they can do to locate it as any missing items are disposed of if not reclaimed in time. This company is a total scam and should be completely and utterly ashamed of themselves. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Feels like I've been 'had.' I email daily for updates and am told to "be assured our team is looking for your stuff." That was three weeks ago. My items are still lost. I think this is a scam. Sigh...

This is to report that this is a fraud website, and help mail is fake email, after the payment the website crashed and no one to ask now.
Submitted my report & paid. Email is fake- tried to send an enquiry but outlook kept rejecting it. No one contacted me as to whether my item was found or not 2 months later, nothing.
Paid 29.99 for service. NO CONTACT FROM THEM 3 days later not even to say they were looking. This is a scam.
Wasn't 100% sure this website was legitimate so went via PayPal who only pay after delivery. I was horrified to learn less than a week later that my payment had gone through, but no item had been returned! Did someone tell PayPal they had delivered my item? Otherwise, why was the payment made?
My lost item was not found. After repeated attempts to get a refund, and being told that the refund was issued, it was not. I opened a case in PayPal, and they got no response, and therefore refunded my money. I received many messages saying that my "refund was issued on time", "something was wrong with the account" (according to PayPal, there was no attempt to refund), "we will issue a check" (I wouldn't trust a check from them), etc. I feel that this company is a scam. If I hadn't persisted, kept the correspondence and opened a case in PayPal, I would never have received my money back.

Get over your disappointment quick.
I paid for someone to find my son's glasses. I messed up on the payment so I got an email telling me what to do. Since then, nothing.?
I reported a lost wallet and paid the fee in March 2017 and was told that the fee would be refunded if they did not find it. They did not find it. Did they try?
In April I asked for the refund and got a friendly reply from Lina Joseph at "Airportlostandfound". I checked in July and found no money. Airportlostandfound replyed and claimed it was paid and asked me to check the account again. Several checks and friendly helpfull mails was made before they said it was paid, but an unknown error had occured and the money had been reverted back to them. They agreed to to transfer the money again. Three weeks later the 4th of August; no money transfered and I told them to priority the payment to keep their reputation (!?). No reply. The 12th of September; no money and I told them to pay within a week. Asked if their profit strategy was to never pay back the fee to their customers. No reply and no money the 26th of September!
For me it is quite easy now to draw the conclusion of what type of company "Airportlostandfound" is.
Very useful. I could enter the specific airport, flight number, where and when the item may have gone missing.
Never do business with these guys.
I forgot my watch at a tsa checkpoint and tried to locate the official lostandfound after I landed.
I was too tired to realize that this 'official' page did not mean they are affiliated with the tsa/airport.
I entered all my details and thought I would hear back immediately since I was sure that my description was 100% accurate and my watch unique.
Long story short: for 28 days I heard nothing. Then I receive an email saying that my watch had been found 28 days earlier! And that I had to pay either 45$ or 90$ for shipping since all items found at the airport are released/sold after 30 days.
So these suckers pose as you, find your item, but wait 28 days before they tell you and then put pressure on you by not giving you time to go the official route (which is hard to find, unfortunately). This is not illegal, but in my eyes a scam.
Lesson learned.
Only use lost and found services in the US which start with https://tsa.gov/...
Tip for consumers:
Do not use them! It's a scam. Go to the official tsa pages for lost and found.
Had a good time.
Journey was comfortable and nice.
Strongly recommend to all for it
Everything was taken care of very nicely
This is my first time at airport lost and found. Submitted the request with lot of hope. Lets see if it can find my watch.
Nice guys. Really delivery what they promised. They look until hell for my kids lost puppet. No news so far, but a lot of mails with promising search.
Very easy to navigate and provides helpful models on how to structure various responses. Hopefully will hear back from someone soon.
Phone calls and a while on the website even find how to file for lost and found
