I traveled with this company throughout Europe. Once the flight was cancelled and the company held the situation well. As a passenger, I was not get disappointed and did not get upset in any way. The company provided a great hotel for that night. Also, ticket money were reimbursed to my account shortly after I did the request.
This airline is a SCAM! I am just in shock at the fact that they are refusing to give me back my money or anything else because I booked through a third party (Hopper). I paid close to $3000 for a flight out of the country through Hopper and on the day of my flight CVS minute clinic did not have my covid results (also smh), so I missed that flight. I called them and they said to contact my 3rd party (Hopper). I had already missed the event I was due to attend so I asked the Hopper agent to cancel my flight. The agent told me that AIRFRANCE is the might not give me my money back but I considered how flexible the airlines are being based on the fact that we are all in A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. I got scared about them not giving refunds, the next day and asked Hopper and airfrance to put me on another flight. AIRFRANCE the worst freaking airline ever then told me they can only put me on a flight leaving the country but I was on my own for the flight back. Obviously I said no and moved forward with requesting a refund. Its been 2 weeks now (SEVERAL TIMES AIRFRANCE HAS HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME) made me false promises that I would get a refund, BUT THEN TODAY hopper is telling me that airfrance denied my refund. HOW IN THE WORLD DO WE LIVE IN A COUNTRY WHERE SOMEONE CAN TAKE $3000 FROM YOU, GIVE YOU NO SERVICE (even after you wanted the freaking service) and then REFUSE TO GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK, WITH NO EXPLANATION (OR OTHER OPTIONS) AND ITS COMMUNICATED IN SUCH A CALLOUS MANNER. I AM FUMING AND all i want is my money back from this crazy company. WHAT THE HELL TYPE OF BUSINESS MODEL IS THIS. HOW IN THE WORLD DOES THIS COMPANY HAVE RETURN CUSTOMERS?
My experience with AF was actually okay - just thought I should put it out there that: Air France is NOT a first class airline but there service is actually great... they are pretty reliable... My experience with AF was actually okay - just thought I should put it out there that:
Air France is NOT a first class airline. And it would serve all customers well to know that. What it is, is an average airline, who probably doesn't pay for priority use of air space and runways.
With this in mind, I consulted their Social Media team (definitely responsive before you pay up), and took screenshots of everything that they said (basically that I would be covered if there were delays, that I would receive equal assistance as everyone else (I'm coloured), etc etc). And then I booked my ticket. This ensured that if anything goes wrong, I would be able to raise a ruckus.
Next i took my flight - the cabin was new, and entertainment was touchscreen and responsive, unlike the crappy entertainment system on every other airline (including Singapore airlines) - I personally thought it was way more comfortable because the seats slide out, so when i recline, the person behind gets space too.
My flights were slightly delayed, but what did you expect with a cheap ticket? I recommend you take this airline with a fully charged iPad of your own, and good travel insurance.
