When i had a trip to Egypt, I worked with this website. Basically it's all in one solution because here you can book a flight, book a hotel or place for kinda private stay, plus they are generous enouhg to give some atteactive coupons. Other than that, here you can even buy tickets for ferry, trains, airport transfers and rent a car. That is the reason why I consider it as a platform packed up with all necessary things for having pleasant voyage.
I have never visited the Agoda.com website or made a booking with them. However, agoda.com managed to debit a large sum of money from my account via another site on which I wanted to make a purchase. This site is 100% fraudulent and dishonest. Customer service is no help at all and asks for personal information to help you in order to rip you off even more. NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE
Still awaiting my damage deposit refund 78 days after checking out with no issues.
They ignore your e-mails and texts and when I did get a response promised to refund within the week. 40+ days later I am still waiting. Now with my credit card company to challenge.
At best really poor customer service, at worst some kind of scam. Avoid this company
Please get your act together I booked flights with you and was very lucky to be allowed to board the plane. Saturday the 8th May you sent my booking times to me as 15/20 leaving Newcastle I arrived at the airport 14.00 went to book in and was told I might not get on the plane as I was too late for my flight I showed them my email from you they rang someone then told me to hurry they would hold the plane, now I have just googled the flight out this Saturday 22nd of may my booking with you is for 13/40 and the plane leaves at 12/35. This is discusting how does anyone catch a flight that doesn't exist

Agoda did not inform me that there was a $40.82 RESORT FEE at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas; or, if they did, which i can't confirm, it was buried in the small print. Agoda should list this expense in the booking info, stating up front that there is such & so fee and it is this much. Otherwise, you get a deceptive price and when you pay Agoda and the full price of the base booking will actually cost you more. Won't be doing further business with Agoda.
When I booked a room to spend overnight in Istanbul to get my connecting flight next day unexpectedly my flight was canceled and the agency offered me another flight outside of Turkey. I already booked the hotel and they did not want to give me a refund no matter the mistake is not mine. No voucher was issued either. Very disappointed of their business

Just a place to see all the options. They charge 10%, you can do better directly with the resort or another site. No leverage with any resorts, no changes, no customer service, period. Just someone telling you how sorry they are.
Its really sad to say that, on the Agoda website they charge a high amount for booking hotels, and believe me its not even worth of 3star hotel, they don't even verify the property, I don't recommend this for business travelers solo women, it's disgusting and annoying, the number which is provided@ confirmation receipt, no one picks the call.its big scam with huge commission involved in, its zero customer service
Do not waste your time booking your trip through this company. They actually use another company to book your vacation and will not 1- get in touch with your hotel for any changes/cancellations. 2- they will claim their other company is trying to get in touch with the hotel to make changes and then you contact the hotel and no one has contacted the not what so ever on behalf of your reservation. 3- they are extremely rude and not willing to help you out.
Do not use, not happy at all and will not be booking through them again.
I just made a booking through Agoda, there price was listed as $809.10 for the weekend with no cancellation as it was the cheapest price, after I had already booked and gave credit card details I then got an email saying I needed to pay $1160, I then called the place I had booked and they had never even heard of Agoda and had no contract with them, it came up as through booking.com, leaving me to pay the $1160.
I booked a deluxe room of the property in rajasthan,after booking online nobody contacted me and some how i managed to reach found doors closed I tried to contact the number given in booking details and found was not traceable,tried to contact the mobile number and the landline number displayed in the title board infront of the gate...nobody attended. Leaving an option to shift the luggage to another available property
I was recently going through my daughters email account due to some emails she had received that seemed odd as she is only 13 years old and she shouldn't be signed up on any booking accommodation web portals. Well I found this site has been sending her emails so I logged in to find out what this was all about, in doing so I found my ex had used her account to sign up for these services, I know this because his PayPal account was added as a form of payment, his birthday, home address, name, it's all in there in black and white. He most likely did this to hide his cheating ways thinking I would never think to check her emails for this type of thing. He's been using my email for some time to try and hurt me, which is one thing but this is going too far. I can't get him out of my accounts, I've tried doing everything from 2 step verification, changing passwords, creating new emails, to completely wiping every device I own. Going back to why this company deserves 0 stars, I requested the data associated with my daughters account, gave them an old booking number, filled out the form they emailed back to me completely, but I'm being told that because the booking was made using a different email (his email) I can't have access to the data. So they're basically telling me any creep can use your account, even a minor, to do whatever they please and you can do nothing about it. I want to file a case against him but I'm not doing so without proof of what he's been doing. So since I can't get that I guess I'll just continue to deal with his petty actions and keep suffering. Thanks agoda you guys really know how to take care of the bad guy. God forbid I actually get to speak to someone, I so much appreciate the generic replies and absolutely 0 help you've given me on this matter.
Agoda lacks projecting the right information of the target destination, this made me land up in a lousy stay ar Tea County Munnar.
Agoda should update the current pics of the room, reviews on food etc and not provide obselete information misguiding the customer

I am a seasoned traveler and have been using online sites for booking hotels, airline and cars for years. I booked a hotel from Agoa's website with the booking dates of Friday, March 6 at Barcelona. As usual, I got a confirmation and didnt pay much attention to it, since this is expected.
Imagine my surprise when I got a reminder on Feb 19 that my reservation was "today". This was neother the date, nor the day, nor the month of my travel. With the fact that the reservation was totally non-refundable, non-cancellable, I frantically tried contacting the hotel explaining that there was a mix up. The hotel, perhaps rightly so, said that they could do nothing -- I had to take it up with the booking site. I tried calling the Agoda customer support number and couldnt get through. I am thoroughly disgusted since I completely wasted a time, money and effort on something that couldn't be a mistake on my part. There is NO way I could select a wrong month, date and day. It seems to me this was done only because it was a non-cancellable reservation -- no recourse!
Gokulam Park hotel, safe and fridge didn't work. No hot water at times. Pictures were deceiving on Agoda. Indiavacationz boat was disgusting. Pictures deceiving here too, address incorrect, honeymoon suite was disgusting, also no hot water in the bath. Hotel Seaface, nothing worked in the room, including wifi and after complaining bitterly was moved to another room, a day later. Agoda need to vet all properties they sell. Did not have any issues with the hotels booked with Booking.com.

Agoda agent was going to contact hotel Seaface for a refund and get back to me. I haven heard from them since.
You notice when i search the same hotel once too many time, and your price go sky high, explain to me why the price difference when I use another device to search
Agoda is more of a hustler rather than a honest, upfront site.

- Remove the Agoda cash redemption
- No clear formula on arriving to a final price
- If I go through travelocity, the prices are lower
You have to be on the alert all the time. It's like dealing with a predator.

This is one of the most inefficient service providers I've come across. They host hotels that aren't hygienic or safe and when it comes to cancelation and refund policies, the system is rigged to ensure that the customer pays through his nose. I suggest anyone wanting to use Agoda - avoid booking through Agoda as much as possible. They care very little if you lose your money or get holed up in some property that is unsafe and unhygienic. There's no way you're going to recover the amount you've spent. Customer service is terrible.
The place is available when I booked the place. The moment I enter my card, it didn't went through but ate my money twice. They did not even sent me a proof that the refund is on process and it is their fault and now making me wait for one month!?

Agoda.com was a fantastic booking engine with fabulous customer service. All of that changed when Booking.com bought them and now customer service is non-existent. Such a shame when a great product is ruined by an acquirer.

Used this service to book a hotel in Florida- somehow they didn't get my reservation even though they took the $ out of my account. Took an hour to get it straightened out, was promised a call back, never received it. When I got home the hotel had charged me again, currently trying to get my $500 back. Too much effort to work with this company.

I used this site a few times to book reservations in Japan. I booked a NON SMOKING ROOM but was told the room was smoking and had to pay an additional 14k yen at check in because my son is asthmatic, I know what I choose. I reached out to customer service and was told I need screenshots of my reservation for them to take care of the additional fee. The reservation ask questions in the booking like room type, bed type etc. I answered mine so they say that I requested a non smoking room and request are not guaranteed. I sent them screenshots of how bookings list whether smoking or non online before submitting but they would not accept it because it wasn't the screenshot of my exact reservation. Just cover yourself when using their site. I deleted mine.

I am utterly disappoinyed by Agoda's way of business. It shows fake discount, making it as if we are getting good deals while actually other websites sell the same room at a cheaper price.
I book 9 rooms through agoda for 4 nights (20 feb to 24 feb) in bali. It showed the original price of 1 million rupiah (USD 72 per night) which was discounted to idr 365,000 (USD 26 per night). I thought it was a good deal and i immediately book all 9 rooms, to secure what i thought was a good deal. I paid around 390,000 per room per night (due to some 'hidden' fees)
I then check booking.com and found that it was selling the same room for 350,000 per room per night. It did not have that fake discount price. I also checked zenrooms and found similar price without the fake discount.
So we can see how agoda is fooling its prospective consumers by showing fake discount and making us subconsciously rushing to 'seal the deal'.

They charged me early for a booking, regardless of an ongoing pandemic and the multiple restrictions it brought about and the country I was visiting less restricted travel on the dates I had booked after I had made the booking. It was a refundable booking so I made my case and instead of refunding it, they disputed my charge so the bank now has a hold on the amount they charged and they're basically trying to pass me onto the bank now for a problem they created in the first place. Their customer service handled it okay but their Fraud Prevention Specialist has been passive aggressive and keeps responding with snide comments in the emails, they basically seem like they have a bone to pick and it's just been very strange and I dont know what their gripe is since I'm the one encountering a freeze on a charge Agoda made.
On the other hand, I've always had a positive experience with Booking.com and Traveloka, they really do help you and coordinate with the hotels if you come across any issues and they're very polite.
