“Car Rental at it's Best”

I returned to OKC from Korea and I had made a reservation for a compact car from Advantage. I didn't realize they had a new facility and a shuttle bus to and from the airport so, I got a ride with a friend. They didn't have the car I requested so, they up graded me to a Toyota Camry, a very nice car, at no extra charge. The check in was a breeze and the counter guy was most friendly and helpful. He made one call and when I got to the pickup window, the ar was ready. It was just as easy when I brought the car back. No hassles and what they quoted is what they charged. Great doing business with companies like this.

We rented a car Feb 10-15 from advantage rental. Filled car up and returned the car. Was told everything was ok and then got home got a $119.00 on our credit card saying we did not fill car up. Called them several times and sent copies of the rental agreement and copy of our gas bill, still never received any money back. The email we sent to them with copies they kept saying the email is under construction please try later.

We rented with Advantage in Orlando Florida. After returning the car in fine condition and returning home, we received a phone call from them.
Firstly they asked if we took pictures of the vehicule when we returned it.
When I said no, they said that we owe them for a cracked windshield.
This is absolutely false and has been followed up with a bill for $1,500!
Absolute scam! They are crooks!

I rented a car from Orlando and the representative at the counter just flat out lied to me! He told me because I have State Farm insurance they have a contract with State Farm and I will only be charged $1.90 per gallon to refill so I was to bring it back empty. It was over half full when I brought it back and I was charged $57 for gas. Car wouldn't even hold that much!

The customer service at HNL(Honolulu Airport) is horrible. To pickup the car, we had to stay in line for more than 1 hour. When it's finally our turn, we were told the mid-size car was sold out and we can get a Mini Van. The lady(JODENE) tried to persuade us to purchase the collision insurance, after that was denied, she said the Mini Van was gone too, we had to wait for about 10 minutes to wait for some cars to be returned. After more than 10 minutes, nothing happened. We had to go back in line again and the other lady said she knew nothing about our reservation and had to restart and when we finally got a car, more 2 hours passed. The funny thing is that the lady whose name is JODENE who served us in the beginning just disappeared. If we just waited to be called as she said, we will end up spend the night at the airport. The rate is cheap, but lots of traps there. Consider the time wasted, it's not cheap anymore.

I had a 4month old baby I had to carry FOR A MILE in the cold (in November) to the airport in the middle of the night from the drop-off location at Raleigh-Durham Airport. That's all I am going to write here. I have my lawyers lined up for them.

Today we picked up the car. We told the rep at the counter that we wanted unlimited mileage as it said on the reservation we booked online then he said ok if you are holding a Georgia driver license, he would give us one time unlimited mileage. We made him write it on an invoice sheet since he said he noted on the system and could not print it out. We trusted him & took the car out from the lot and we was suspicious so we called back just to be sure. The rep on the phone told us that the vehicle has no unlimited mileage & it's not the system. We went back from home to rental car about 15 miles and returned the car. The manager returned the car but charged us $69.72 saying that we had used it one day.
And do not buy the insurance from Advantage at the counter. They were 3 times more than online with other car rental.

Picked up my car at Denver Airport. The rep at the counter asked where I was traveling and told me there are three tolls on my route, then asked me if I wanted to pay for those tolls in advance so I wouldn't have to stop at each toll. I only passed through two tolls my entire round trip which would have cost $7 had I chosen to stop but the (take)Advantage Rent a Car charged me $9.99/day ($39.96) for the ez pass. When I contacted Advantage about the rep lying, they told me I either needed to accept the $39.96 charge or they would charge me $25/toll I passed through for administration charges.
Then I looked at the gas charge. The rep told me they charge $2.27/gal which didn't seem bad to me. They charged me $42.16 which works out to 18.5 gals. Funny thing is the 2017 Malibu only has a 13 gal tank based on Chevrolet.com. When I complained about this they refunded me for 3 gals and told me they found another website that said the Malibu holds between 13-15.8 gals. Either way it isn't the 18.5 gals they billed me for.

To recap. Don't buy the EZ pass or prepay the tank of gas it is a scam.

We get off the plane and get to the rental agent, fill out the forms and go down to pick up the vehicle and are given a form to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle has been damaged and is taped together on the back passenger quarter panel. I go back and tell the person that this vehicle is not acceptable. He tells me that there are no other vehicles available. Another customer comes up and says his vehicle is too large and is offered a second vehicle. Because I am still standing there and hear the conversation I am then told to stand to the side and he will find another vehicle for me. I never do surveys but because of this experience in the Miami Airport I am posting this every place that I get an opportunity. Lastly even the vehicle replacement had a damaged rear quarter panel.

This IS the newest and biggest SCAM EVER.
Went to pick up my car at Advantage car rental... ifbyou travel and need to rent a car you know about car agreements and hundred of initials that you do or don't agree with.
Now days there is a new area you need to be aware off... Cities with many tools and express lanes. Advantage Customer service personal can't even Know themselves where it does or doesn't work.
I picked up my car at LAX office and no one bother to advice me about the Southern California tolling process.
The Metro Explresslane is their biggest source of income.
Fox car rental is already being sued over this scam.
Advantage charges on top of the fines an administrative fee of $30 for processing the violations.
What is going on with customer service and caring for the consumer.?
The next issue is that they tell you that if you received any violations while having the rental it will be giving to you at the same time you return the ca.
It took two months before I found out. My credit card was charged. NO NOTICE, nothing to give me time to question these two violations that added to $144.50 charges to my account.
When you call to ask why they give you the round a round sending you all over the place and no one has an answer that makes any sense.
THE FOUNDATION OF NOW DAY COMPANIES IS NO ETHICS AND THE HELL WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE. JUST MAKE SURE THEY HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD TO CHARGE YOU.
I WILL NEVER RENT FROM ADVANTAGE AGAIN.
ANYONE OUT THERE THAT READS THIS REVIEW BE AWARE OF THE SCAM ASK QUESTIONS... ASK TO SEE WHERE IT IS WRITTEN AND YOU KNOW EXAVTLY THE TOLLING PROCESS IN THE CITY YOU ARE VISITING SO THE GREAT DEAL YOU THOUGHT YOU FOUND DOESNT TURN OUT TO GO FROM $150 TO $350 BECAUSE NOONE BOTHER TO TELL YOU ABOUT EXPRESSLANES AND TOLLING. CHARGES.
