My telephoned order went terrifically smooth under Salesperson Benjamin R. Great communication, quick confirming emails, all addresses and contact/shipping! 00% correct. My microwave model was tough to find in my area and Benjamin was able to assess stock and ship out the unit. It arrived within 48 hours, which was very pleasing. I'd do business with Abt again without any reservations. Pricing was spot on and very competitive. Highest recommendations for this firm.

Orders get cancelled without notice a day after being placed and charged. Customer service does not answer the phone. Live Chat is unhelpful and misleading and apparently not even connected to the company. And when you finally do get through via email you get some completely idiotic and asinine scripted explanation of policies. No apologies offered for time wasted. Idiotic suggestions about wiring them funds for the transaction. Don't waste your time.

I applied for a line of credit through these guys, they declined me which is fine I get it, but they dropped it by 43 points... Google said it's only supped to be between 5 and 10 points per hard credit check so what the hell. It took me 8 years to bump it up 55 points and they wiped most of it out in two minutes... Smh it's just uncalled for and not even worth looking into if they're just going to decimate your credit score like that

Tip for consumers:
This website sucks. Why even try to improve your credit score and move up in life if companies like this are just going to destroy your credit score? 43 points they wipes out with a single check and I'm supposed to live with that for 2 years? Get out of here

Bought an LG double oven from ABT in 2017. It never registered the correct temperature in the oven.
Had service out several times to fix it. It never was right.
Just replace the junk with another range. This time a Samsung single oven. Not even 2 months old and service has been out to fix the same problem. Temp is off my 75 - 100 degrees. Now waiting for parts to come in.
I will never buy from them again. Home Depot or Lowes in the future.

This company is a scam they change their name and address constantly ABT shop. They scam to my PayPal account and kept the money this company goes by several different names but most of them have ABT in them. They use other peoples phone numbers and business names. Every time I try to look them up to find my order the site has a different address. No one answers the bogus phone numbers and you can never finish filling out a customer service complaint. If you type in their email your phone will tell you no such email exists. I was foolish enough to trust this review site and lost $174.

There are no products it is a scam. You pay the money and they never send the item but they say they did. If you pay with PayPal they have a setting that marks it as a family and friend transaction, so you can’t even get PayPal to do a resolution on it

Purchased a very expensive dishwasher that apparently is used, missing parts, dirty with water inside and we hooked up a spraying leak from water valve! When I called them for help they said to call Bosch! Never ever ever buy from them unless you want massive problems!

I wish I could them ZERO! I returned their defective microwave and store signed for it, (UPS have confirmation), now Monica and Kal claiming they never received it. It's been over 3 months and they still refusing to issue refund and they both being extremely rude on the phone. Monica yelled and hunged up the phone on me on multiple occasions, which is not acceptable. Kal is a shame of this company, claimed to be a gen manager. He acknowledged he received the item but still won't issue refund and stated "it's your problem!". This company needs to FIRE these people and don't let them harass customers anymore!

Upon reviewing your previous purchase history, we noticed a pattern of purchases always ending in a claim. This has happened on more than one occasion. Abt placed a UPS tracer on your shipment as a courtesy to you. Also, we have asked the customer to shop elsewhere.

In the past 10 years there was a purchase of two wall air conditioners at ABT you would think with the amount of money spent on the air conditioners they would continue working there are older ones in our condo building still working. I wish I could give ABT a good review but I can't it is 90° in my condo I can barely breathe I am disabled and cannot afford to purchase another one

I placed an order with them for a tub wall system with no tracking number and when I tried to contact them via the form on the website the message could not be sent. I hope to hear back with a tracking number and also to receive my product, but I'm starting to doubt their legitimacy.

I am very frustrated with the customer service aspect of this company. I have been dealing with my ice machine for our subzero fridge not working due to a valve needing to be replaced. 2 times they have brought the wrong part and have to reorder the correct part again, which is delaying the whole process. It has been at least 2.5 months this issue has not been resolved.

Its not the fact about how long it takes the parts to come in but the fact that they technicians are given the wrong parts continuously causing us having to go out and by our own ice and take time away from work to make sure we are available for when the techs come out.

I asked to see if we could be compensated some how with a gift card or credit and was informed they do not do that and even asked to speak with a manager about and was given the same answer.

At this point I am disappointed. I really did like this company but they don't seem to have the same values when it comes to servicing once you buy!

I've been dealing with ABT on and off for the past three years. I moved into the Northbrook area where the person who previously lived there, had the ELAN system. I personally feel it's an outdated system, but I need to call abt to get certain issues with the system resolved, especially with changes in Internet system or the thermostat. Every time I called they seem to want to sell me something that cost thousands of dollars which is not what I want. It's come to the point where I'm almost hesitant to call them even though I probably should.

I notice with these reviews the service was so much better prior to 2019 and afterwards, Most of the reviews have been very poor. I hope they see this and look as a way to improve how they treat customers just because your clientele have more money and they can do with doesn't mean you should treat the ones that want to save a little money like there's nothing.

Our staff are experts in control systems and our pricing is competitive. It appears as if your last purchase from us was back in 2020 so we aren't sure why you would post this almost 3 years later.

As far as reviews of our company, you may want to take another look at the big review sites like Google, Yelp, and the BBB where we retain thousands of 5-star reviews. The site you posted on has a very small sample with only 31 reviews (as of 8/2023).

I have attempted to order a dishwasher from Abt online, and it is impossible to get a response to a question before I finalize the order. Emails, chats, etc are ignored or I'm given a robotic response. If this is how they provide service to a potential customer, I can only imagine the service after purchasing the product.

I have purchased all my appliances for the last 30 years from Abt, including a subzero refrigerator, and never had a complaint. However, 13 years ago I bought 2 dishwashers (for $3000 total), which never worked well. Abt sent out service people multiple times, and I was told this was how modern dishwashers work, since there are no longer phosphates in the dishwasher detergent. So, I used them as dish racks. When my kitchen was recently redone, the dishwashers had to be removed temporarily. The contractor told me they had been originally installed improperly. The contractor's plumber reinstalled them, and it's a miracle, they work! I had several conversations with the stores's general manager, who said it was too long since the installation, and I had no photographic proof for what I said. He finally agreed to reimburse me for the cost of the installation ($300), to be paid as an Abt gift card, which I refused. I had asked for the cost of the reinstallation (about $700) and the manager refused. After being a loyal customer, spending tens of thousands of dollars there, I will never go back. They do not stand behind their work.

We purchased a pricey Frigidaire refrigerator--with extended warranty-- from Abt in January 2021. Within months, there were multiple issues with the unit: the refrigerator is functioning as a freezer--all refrigerated food is frozen (we've thrown away literally thousands of dollars of food to date); non-working icemaker; loud motor noise. Technicians have come out multiple times to take a look but never have the right part on hand to fix the issue of the day or they ordered the wrong part and need to go back to the drawing board. Of course, it doesn't take days to get the right part--it takes MONTHS. Delays, delays, delays with "fixing" any of these issues. We communicated the first issues in December (even though they emerged prior to then), and it is nearly the end of May--still no fix. At this point, we have requested that they replace the unit because it is clearly unfixable. It is a LEMON. But oh no! There is a strict process with Frigidaire where the fixes need to be attempted first and THEY decide whether they'll swap it out or not. So, sorry folks, even though Abt is the largest single-store appliance retailer in the US ($12B in revenue, so presumably they are one of Frigidaire's largest retailers with a hell of a lot of clout), they simply can't do anything to help us. Their hands are tied. Which, of course, is BS. If they were a reputable company that stood by its products, they would do the right thing... remove this POS from our house, donate it to charity, and replace the unit asap. So, buyer beware: Do not purchase anything manufactured by Frigidaire. Ask questions before you purchase from Abt: What will they do to stand by their products? If you do buy from them, purchase the extended warranty and hold their feet to the fire. And then, because of course they won't do anything to help you, call your state's Consumer Protection Bureau and report them, which is exactly what I'm going to do next.

ABT needs to improve their online ordering system as it only leads to frustration and a waste of time.

If you purchase a gift for someone and ship it out to a different shipping address then their overreactive fraud system automatically cancels the order and marks it as fraud. Then they send an email of your order cancellation and tell you to call their line... Only thing is their line goes straight to voicemail and the item you got as a gift conveniently sells out and all they have left to say is too bad!

HOW ABOUT YOU CALL THE CUSTOMER TO CONFIRM THE ORDER INSTEAD OF AUTO CANCELLING IT & MAKING ME JUMP THROUGH LOOPS? I understand fraud happens and there is risk management but this is 101 stuff to resolve. CALL THE CUSTOMER

Never had I such a poor ecommerce experience and shame on me for trying a new retailer such as ABT. Never again

POORLY PACKAGED ITEM ARRIVED BROKEN. I HAD TO PACKAGE UP THE ITEM AND RETURN IT VIA UPS. WHY COULDN'T I JUST TAKE A PHOTO OF IT AND SEND IT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. IF THE REPLACEMENT ARRIVES BROKEN I AM REQUESTING A CREDIT. I'LL BUY THE SAME ITEM LOCALLY DESPITE THE HIGHER PRICE. LOWER PRICE IS SOMETIMES NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION.
