Fantastic for the price. I would expect to pay a lot more for all the features it offers. Install is fairly easy, if you know what you are doing. I wish the fake profiles were cheaper, but again, for what you get, everything is very fairly priced. I disagree with the other review that said the support is slow. I usually receive a response within 24 hours.
I have tried other dating software - there's a WordPress theme that I tried that I won't name - and to be honest, it doesn't even come close to Chameleon. Multilingual, ip-database for location detection, email services, affiliate program etc. Really awesome work, guys. If only marketing the dating site after it's set up were so easy.*
If there was one thing I don't like it would be the fact that you can only install the software on one website per license. I have so many ideas for niche sites and I wish I could try them all at once, but that's too pricey for me. I understand you have to make money though and it's a more than fair price.
*Btw, offering marketing services to your clients would be a great way to make money on the back end. I personally don't need it because I'm an online marketer by trade, but it'd be a great way to keep to price lower than your competitors and increase your profits. SEO, Analyitics, Adwords campain management, landing page design, social media management, lead acquisition etc.
I purchased ABK-soft's dating software on the understanding I could develop it for my own requirements, but this is easier said than done.
First of all, the software is pretty comprehensive, but full of errors (as I found out later). It is not expensive, however so you gets what you paid for, and I paid for 'Unique Design'.
The designers take FOREVER to do the slightest bit of work, and it took nearly a month for the photos etc. to be added to the site, but to be honest that is not where it all fell down.
Where it got really interesting is when I tried to use 'abk-experts' do do some developing. Nothing special, just a change in general flavour of the site and the odd tweak. They told me the job will take a couple of weeks, but it took then up to FIVE DAYS to respond to your questions and comments. I became very clear that I could not proceed with any confidence in these 'experts' (although once again they were pretty cheap).
My advice - get this software on OpenSource, or buy it from abk but on the understanding you will have to pay a PHP developer £1,000 or so helping you sort it out! Don't expect any help from abk - they won't even give you an email address to make a complaint!
ABK-SOFT company is a total SCAM and the director and employees are Russian. There is only the company that is illegally residing in the United States. The Chameleon software is also a very very big scam!
I've been using this software for about a month, and overall, pleased with the package. There are a few drawbacks that must be overcome.
Without an in-depth user manual, this software can be very confusing during initial setup. Learning the use of its many features comes down to trial and error. If the site administrator is confused, think of how the new users feel and how quickly they'll move on in frustration.
Support tickets, at times, are confusing with short, non-verbose answers.
The following is an actual example:
My first post,
I've seen the check boxes, in the administrator cPanel, where I can assign specific users as moderators of photos and text. I've assigned three users this capability and when they login there is a "Moderator" link on their home page.
When they click on this link, they're taken to a page with three buttons, "Moderator Photo", "Moderator Essay" and "Save". Clicking on any of these links, causes the page to refresh, but nothing else.
Realizing there was no new user to approve, I created a "test profile" waiting for approval, and again, nothing happens.
How do these three moderators use the assigned capabilities?
The reply,
Please activate in menu "Main > Options > Site options":
- The texts need to be checked
- The photos need to be checked
Second post,
As I said in the first post; I've checked the boxes. Now, I want to know how to use this ability.
Second reply,
Please make sure that these options active in "Main > Options > Site options.
Third post,
Are these "canned responses"? This is twice you've sent this type of reply and this is the third time I've said, "Yes, the boxes are checked."
What I need to know is, "How do the moderators use the software to approve/disapprove photos or text?" A step-by-step would be great!
Third reply,
Member upload photo in profile or change text fields and these values appear on moderator page.
Forth post,
Thank you. I have tested it and understand how it works now.
This ticket can be closed.
As you can see, my third post expressed my frustration.
Next issue: As an administrator, I've rearranged the top navigation menu order, but an additional option should be: the ability to move menu items to a drop-down sub menu location. For instance, move "Groups" below the "Forums".
As with any software, I understand there is a learning curve, but an in-depth manual is definitely needed.
I have been using the Chameleon software with the Oryx template now for a few weeks (not sure what name the company goes by) and have been testing extensively and I find it is very nice software. Takes a little getting used to using the admin section and it could probably be laid out a bit better. I am not an expert on PHP or HTML programming but I have been able to make modifications to the template to suit my needs. I have asked many questions over the past few weeks (They probably fear looking at my name in their email LOL) and they have all been answered pretty promptly, although in some cases the answer could be a little clearer since unlike them, we do not know this software inside and out. So far I have found a few bugs in the software and they were dealt with pretty fast. It is a unfortunate however that there is no User Manual available that outlines the majority of features available in the software especially for the Admin section, when running into something you don't quite understand a ticket has to be submitted where this could have been explained in such a manual. (Searching the support forum or FAQ usually doesn't answer the question) one example in the admin options there is an option for "Smart profile" or "Simple profile", an explanation with a question mark would be helpful or a peak in the Manual would be nice.
Before purchasing the software I did a lot of research comparing different software packages and found some posts that talked about this company pretty negatively, not sure who posted them or where they got their information. Over all I have to say I am pleased with the software and the technical support I have received so far.
I have been using the Websplosion platform for a few months now, and overall I am very pleased with it. It has a good range of features and any problems can expect a timley response that gets straight to the point, which is important.
I do currently have one suggestion, after google announcing it's importance of mobile site optimization recently (April 21st). It got me looking into how my site looked in this regard. Currently the mobile version of the site offered by websplosion is functional but does look very dated and screams in need of an update to haul into 2015.
Over the last few years I think websites could get away with maybe not having a strong mobile version but now that is not the case and every site definitely needs a strong mobile offfering or face decline.
The standard templates (as viewed desktop wise) are very good and I'm very pleased with them. There is a lot of content you choose to add or leave out depending on which direction your site is going.
4/5 stars because there is always some room for improvement but overall very good!
I wish I could give it 5 negative stars. On the bright side some of it works the way it is supposed to. Their idea of tech support is to rccomend your hire someone from Freelancer.com to fix the things that don't work. The 3DCity which looks really cool only (supposedly) works on 32 bit versions of I. E. Very handy for people living in 3rd world countries though. Sometimes you can get a response from their tech support within a few days but don't expect it to be helpful. If you can get a pirated version of this software, don't waste your money. It would be worth it if they paid you to use it. Or if you are very good with HTML, PHP, etc then you might have a fully functioning site. But once you give them your money do not expect anything except empty promises. If they would support the program and if it did everything it was supposed to then it would be great. It would be cheap at 2x the price, but the way they are now it is a waste of money. I cannot warn you away from this software enough.
THEY DONT DISERVE ONE STAR ALSO, hi this is for all who wants to buy abk-soft products, dont buy any script from them they are the big scamers fools in industry, they will eat your money and after that they are NOT GOING TO GIVE ANY REFUND TRUST ME YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET ANY REFUND AND ALSO NO REPLY FOR YOU. NO WAY TO GET MONEY BACK.

On November 6 2009 I purchased Buisness-Space a linkedin clone script from ABK-soft. I installed the software and it was exactly what I was looking for to expand my business resources. On Nov 7th I listed my first ticket on their support system because of an email confirmation issue with the software. I began to test all the features and discovered numerous problems. After approximately 4 days and absolutely no support I requested a refund. I was assured by Mikhail Cherkassky that the problems would be resolved immediately. I agreed and gave them 72 hours to fix the problem. Needless to say the response was short and not helpful and again I requested a status update. I waited another 48 hours with no response and demanded a refund. I was contacted by Gary Collar, I am not even sure that this person is a real person due to all the information that has been revealed on this company. I was not aware of the fact that ABK-soft is a Russian company until it was too late. ABK-soft has ripped me off for $697 and I hope that this information keeps others from being scammed by these THIEVES!
If I could give Zero stars I would. I am out $1400 because this company ripped me off.
Dont buy Chameleon dating software, its full of errors and the support is really crap
Abk-soft has a rating of 3.1 stars from 36 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Abk-soft ranks 6th among Dating Site Software sites.
