NEVER use this company and CERTAINLY NEVER BE A HOST. Because they accept bitcoins, they are a magnet for hackers and thieves. I had guests for six weeks, but someone hacked into their system and had a LOT of my money transferred to an anonymous bitcoin account in Spain rather than my bank in Los Angeles. 9 Flats never let me know there was a change and when I contacted them, they first said they would take care of it, then immediately backed off, then stalled, then ignored me, then had the nerve to suggest I "contact local law enforcement" as if the Los Angeles Police Department would fly someone to Spain to try to track down some $1,500 of untraceable currency. They lied, said they had contacted me and I had "approved" the change as if anyone in L. A. using US dollars would suddenly want bitcoins in Spain. It was obscene what they said/did as well as absurd. NEVER use these people. I have hosted with Airbnb, Wimdu, and Roomorama. I have NEVER had any problems with any of them and in fact am a Superhost with Airbnb. I view 9 Flats as immoral, corrupt and, like I said, a magnet for international hackers. Use them if you want to be ripped off.

I am a host and payment for my guests is 3 weeks overdue. Despite many promises of getting paid soon. Nothing. They take the money from the guests when they book and then don't pay the host!

They collect payments from guests, but don't pay to the hosts. NEVER EVER making business with such a SCAMMER company.

None of their customer service numbers work. If you have an emergency you can't reach them, If you have a problem and you send them an email, it takes days for them to email you back. They're a really sketchy organization. They opt you into programs and when you complain, they eventually email you back and tell you that you did it, not them.
