If I could give negative stars I would! I have been trying for 2 weeks now to get a return started. First I emailed them through the link on the site, then I waited, and waited, and waited for a response. Finally a week goes by and I call during their narrow business hours. Now I'm on hold for 15 minutes before I get to speak to anyone and I'm told that they will update my ticket and someone will email me a UPS label by the end of the week. It's now the end of the week and I still have nothing! I'm also told during this call that once they receive the order back I HAVE TO CONTACT THEM IN 7-10 DAYS IN ORDER FOR THEM TO PROCESS THE REFUND! I have never in my life had to contact a company to have them actually process my refund after I returned merchandise to them. We have 2 Jeep builds going on and thinking of starting a 3rd when these are done. We will NOT be purchasing anything else from this company.
And don't even get me started on the other return that we actually got the return labels for. (That customer service rep was actually helpful.) We received the wrong item for our Jeep, partially our fault and partially theirs. But only 2 packages out of 4 needed to be exchanged but they wouldn't do that. We have to return the entire order. Talk about a waste of time and shipping fees! We were even willing to wait for them to receive the items before they shipped out new ones - and pay for the shipping since we were at fault also, but they would not work with us at all. We had everything unpacked and spread out around the Jeep before we realized that it wasn't going to work. Five days later we're still in the process of packaging it up to send back since we have to make sure that everything gets back in the correct boxes or we won't get our full refund. Nothing but a nightmare!
UPDATE: Upon printing the labels for the return we actually got started - I noticed one label is actually going to come to us! Spent 3 hours on hold trying to get in touch with someone to correct this. I'm just going to print my own UPS label and spend the $20. At this point, it will be worth it to have this over and done with! They will have 1 week after receiving my order back to process my return, otherwise I'm going to dispute the charge with my CC company.
They ask for your Jeep information when placing the order to make sure you get the correct parts. That didn't help at all! We have a 2 door - they still sent parts for a 4 door.
Nothing
I purchased the Fox 2.0 Performance Series Coilover IFP shocks 983-02-050 for my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 XLT from 4Wheel Parts (4WP).
Prior to installing these, I had factory struts with a 1.5" leveling kit. I purchased the Fox Coilovers from 4wp because the manufacturer (Fox) and you said these shocks are adjustable 0"-2" above stock height and come pre-adjusted at 2". I loved that they could just be thrown on without adjusting these. According to your advertisements, and that is why I bought them.
Here's the problem. I got the Fox Coilovers installed, and my truck sits exactly 1.5" inches lower than before. These lowered my truck lower than it was with factory struts that had a 1.5" leveling kit on them.
Obviously, these are not pre-loaded correctly. Therefore, I took my truck to 4WP, to have them pulled off, and adjusted correctly. My truck was there for 8 hours. 4WP said they can't adjust them because they're maxed out, and told me that, according to the manufacturer (Fox) they come pre-set and can't be adjusted any higher. They didn't even try or bother to figure it out.
How is that possible? How does your product that you advertise to be adjustable from 0"-2" above stock height now sit exactly 1.5" lower? It's obvious these are not adjusted to the correct height and you refused to help and since they're installed, you won't allow me to return them. Because if they are in fact, maxed out at the highest point, then these are no good, they literally lowered my truck to stock height.
It's obvious these simply weren't set correctly by Fox and you refused to do anything... Ben at the counter told me, to call Fox, no, this is the product you sell, stand behind your product, and support your customers.
Another issue, when I took my truck in at a time I scheduled in advanced, and asked 4wp to throw on the control arms since you're in there, you acted put out, saying "well, then I don't know if I can get your truck done" its one extra bolt on each side... jfc
Anyway, I called Jack-it in SLC, and spoke to them, they knew exactly what I was talking about, and said this is actually common - that Fox will send these at 0 inches, and confirmed they are not maxed out after taking my truck to them. Now I have to pay another shop, to set these where they should have been initially set in the first place.
Fox 2.0 coilovers
After getting a rear pinion kit installed which consists of bearings, shims, crash sleeve, pinion seal and proper torque specs I picked up my landcruiser of the 4WP shop in Monroeville, PA. On the way back home at around 45-70mph I've noticed a weird grinding noise and severe vibrations come from the rear of the SUV which were obviously not there before. You can hear them in this video that was recorded right after picking up the SUV. The assistant manager, goes by "crash" his real name is not on his business card, screamed at me that they only looked at it once after having the truck for a whole week after bringing it back the same day it was worked on and told me the vibrations are coming from the transfer case not the rear differential and you can only hear my tires go while driving in the highway. He denied looking at my vehicle any further, or would not show me that the vibrations were coming from the T-case. He threatened to fight me if I wouldn't leave his store but, the store manager got involved and told me to put my stock wheels back on if I wanted my truck looked at again and I had to pay a diag fee. What off roading shop tells you to put your stock wheels back on for proper diag? These guys didn't realized I've been a certified mechanic for ten years before trying to pull this stunt on me. This shop is a joke. Don Kasyan, the salesman that worked on my repair order was also extremely rude, unprofessional and had a few racial degrading remarks about me and my Landcruiser. This shop only wants your money. Walked in here in September first to get my rear pinion done, "crash" tells me to wait for the"october sale fest" before making my appointment to save money and when I do before I can make the appointment I have to put half the total amount down, wait another month to get the truck in the shop, ended up paying $150 more than I agreed initially and they ruined my rear differential after taking it apart. Another thing is the first time I came in here around July to get five wheels balanced and an alignment they only ended up balancing four wheels and I paid to get five wheels balanced. I was able to tell because I painted the wheel weights black and the spare tire had the same wheel weights as it did when I dropped off the SUV. Told me they would adjust my adjustable tracking bars in the front and the rear differentials when they did an alignment also but they didn't touch it, I marked those nuts too and they needed adjusted and they told me they did it. What upset me the most is that I paid $1300 to get my rear pinion kit installed and they messed that up too. I had enough. An appointment has been made with Toyota to tear my differential apart to prove 4WP shop that they did wrong by another party. Corporate will be contacted also and a police report filed for implied threat. Avoid this shop at all cost! In the following youtube video you can hear my gears grinding after leaving the 4WP shop if you look up in youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptuqKVVX0Wk
So I placed an order the week before mothers day for about $1700. My card was charged that moment I clicked submit. Got an email a few days later that said that the parts would have to come from the manufacture and that they will update me in 2-3. Never happened. After speaking with other suppliers I found out that the lift kit I ordered was on backorder for more than a month so I cancelled my order, so I thought... I called on May 11th to cancel the entire order. The woman I spoke with even asked if I wanted to cancel the order for the lift kit too and I told her yes. Refund showed up on the 13th but it was not for the full amount. Called on the 14th and was told that it "should" have all been refunded and that someone will be in touch later that day. Next day no word and when I called back was told that the refund has been processed and I should have it back by Monday. Wait until Friday the 22nd and still no refund. Called that morning and still couldn't get an answer for why. I called back and was moved up to the supervisor Marko Cruse at extension 5913. That's was when I was told that the reason I was not refunded all of my money was that THEY decided to hold on to it and try to see if they could get a sales person to call and see if I wanted to replace the lift kit with something else. The time line for all this is that on the 11th I asked for a full refund for an order that I have not received any part of. They took it upon themselves to instead hold on to my money for no reason. On the 18th when I called back asking for the rest of my money they AGAIN decided to not refund my money for items that I never was sent and assigned me to the sales department that was suppose to get in touch with me an never did but I was told that I would be receiving the rest of my refund. On to the 22nd and I have had enough of the "I don't knows" and "we will be in touch" and finally was moved to a supervisor Marko Cruse Ext. 5913. Only when I spent the better part of an hour asking questions and demanding answers was I told of the events and how everything was handled on there end. I kept asking who decided for me to go against my requests for a refund and keep my money and I just got the run around. According to Mr. Cruse Ext. 5913 the problem was with the sales department and was told that I have to talk to a Joe Nevaro Ext. 5127 and he can explain why. I tried to call Mr. Nevaro and have yet to be called back. Why couldn't I have a refund for items they don't have an I didn't receive? Who decided to keep my money so I can pay interest om it? I can keep going but the long a short is just don't ever buy anything from these crooks. Please please please just don't.
My Experience Will Follow: "Hey 4wd.com, I gave you guys tons of chances, I remained patient, & you failed. So, this will cost you thousands of customers & $ now. CAN YOU DEAL WITH THAT?!?" I'll save everyone a lot of time and headache and anguish: "IF THE SITE YOUR ORDERING FROM HAS NO CUSTOMER REVIEWS SECTION OR SERVICE RATING, NNNEEEVVEER OOOORDDDERRR FROMMM THEMMM! Because that means after you order from the friendly-helpful-affable sales person, YOUR'E ON YOUR OWN. Good luck ever getting the right order or God forbid you have a return or exchange. And don't be fooled, 4wd.com, 4Wheelparts.com, TransamericaWholesale, and others are the same store(ask first). If you dont want to be totally stressed out and pssed off, AVOID THEM ALL. 4wd.com has a FEEDBACK icon but you as the customer can only add yours, not access others. So, stick to Amazon or Ebay products, who do care enough about their customers to provide a Seller Rating & a Review Section. If you think I'm just an irrational hothead, I copied what happened when I ask for customer reviews on their chat icon & I'll paste it at the end.
So, how did all this happen? Just one simple order for shocks & a stabilizer was made on 3-30-18. I called to place the order to ensure it was correct. I verified with the assoc. That the '93 Wrangler was lifted at least 2" so i needed extended shocks, & ordered a set of Rancho's with a Stabilizer. I work for a Jeep Dealership so our Master Mechanic, who now works privately came all the way to the dealership & picked up the Jeep & shocks to install them. He calls the next day and says;"I got your shocks off & went to put the others on but they're 2-3 inches shorter & leave you only 1 1/2 inches of articulation". So, he brought them all the way back to the shop, & I began my adventure of trying to get thru to 4wd.com Customer Returns. 4 days of calls and recordings, and endless loops, and being intentionally hung up on. Finally, I resorted to calling back thru the sales line, which they are of course quick to answer, & I immediately requested a Supervisor. I got Supervisor LANCE, to whom I explained very briefly, & he seemed competent & professional, & he was very aware they have no customer service after the sale, using the excuse:"Our company is going thru some changes". He agreed to exchange the shocks, return the stabilizer, and emailed me some UPS return stickers. I sent them immediately, as my Jeep is sitting without shocks at my mechanics shop. Weeks start going by. I'm busy working 60 hours/week, the last thing I need is to babysit an order. Finally, on 5-10-18, I call back thru a TransamericaWholesale # i got from our service dept.& I get Scott, ask for a Supervisor, he says nothing, transfers me, I get Supervisor Jeff Brown, who takes my invoice #, says my name, & says he needs to transfer me, it rings, then is picked up & immediately hung up. So, I recall Supervisor Jeff Brown, & as I'm leaving a message, Supervisor LANCE calls me. He says confidently:"Yep, we got that order cancelled, & refunded". Yes, that's right folks, 6 weeks later, & it wasn't even in the mail. To keep from losing it on this moron, who had so positively confirmed the "EXCHANGE" with me previously, I just said that I was good with that because I'm definitely going with someone else, anyone else has to be more competent than this. He says "bye". So, I start looking for a place on their website to warn others, & guess what? There isn't any. Here's what they said when I tried going thru their Chat icon to ask for Feedback reviews I could read: 4WD.COM CHAT

Bee
11:57:23 a.m. Well Im wanting to order a lift with shocks for my jeep but before I order from anyone I like to read thru a few of their reviews for a consensus. I see a feedback buttton to my right but I don't see where I can read others experiences ordering with 4wd.com

12:03:01 p.m. yeah, I understand that's a given, but how or where do I go to read your reviews by your customers? IF i go on amazon or any others site I can see multiple reviews but I can't see any on your site, or 4wheelparts or Transamerica wholesale. Why am I not allowed a review before I buy?
12:05:43 p.m. I mean you guys obviously take reviews thru your feedback icon window, why cant i see those reviews?
Moe
12:06:43 p.m.Are you looking for reviews on products or 4WD?

12:09:45 p.m.If Im going to spend $2,000 on a lift kit I'd kind of like to know how other customers experiences have gone. Don't you read reviews of both product and vendor on Amazon or Ebay before you buy?
12:11:48 p.m.So, I need to go to a third party review site to get a review on your service?
Yes, folks, that's how inept this whole company is. It might have been a good thing in my case because I just bought a 2nd Jeep, 2010 JKU and I was about to order a lift kit, lightbar, tires, wheels, etc. and I can't even begin to imagine what an f ing nightmare that would've been. Just taking the time to write this review is costing me money, not to mention the endless loops of transfers, shopping for a new co, etc. I guess I'm lucky my mechanic isn't charging me 6 weeks of Jeep storage... I hope. This is for the next poor soul who sees their flashy websites & assumes they are reputable just because they look big. For the love of all things holy, & your sanity,
DON'T DO IT!
