I spoke with a customer service agent named Al over the phone, my payment had failed to process and I called just to push it through. Al took the time to help me adjust info on my account, asked to make sure my dog Rico was doing okay, and overnighted my package to make sure that Rico got his medication in a timely fashion since I had run out! I was very impressed, and very thankful. I fully intend to use pet meds for my needs going forward. Thanks so much Al, I hope your intuitive customer service gets acknowledged and rewarded!
I have used them in the past but no more. Across the top of their website they are running a special promo. 50% off flea, tick, and heartworm medicines with the code GREEN50. I had nearly a $400 order in my cart and applied the code. It took off $50, not 50%. I called them and they tell me that it's a misprint. This is deceptive practice as many will go ahead and order not realizing they only got $50 not 50%.
I've used this company for years for medications for two different dogs. Never had a problem with them, prices were fine, shipping speedy enough and reasonable.
Starting in late 2023 I was unable to print "invoices" for medications which are used to seek rebates or make insurance claims. I have had to wait for half an hour or longer to reach someone in customer service. Still waiting on this simple request to be addressed.
The comments from the representatives have been that the company has had IT issues with a recent upgrade. This seems consistent with an email from the CEO received today apologizing for the issues with customer service and wait times.
Seems to me the email was sent too soon since the website now says there are 21! People in front of me for a chat and an email to customer service was returned as "undeliverable."
These issues have been ongoing now for at least 4 months. I can't recommend using this company when there are other online vet pharmacies that, at least as of now, are not so screwed up.

Let me just start by saying that the only reason I gave more than one star was because of their online customer service. My senior dog has mobility issues and requires pain meds. I placed orders over two consecutive months for the same meds for the same pet, and had issues both times that were only resolved because I called them.
First, in order to enter a different shipping address than my billing address I had to reenter my card information. This did two things: 1) It triggered a fraud alert on my card, which then was declined; and 2) It changed my billing address to be the same as my shipping address, which also resulted in a decline on my card.
Second, they never informed me that there was a problem with my order. They merely sent me an email that confirmed my order. I only found out there was a problem with my order when I logged back on to my account to check on my order, and saw the order status which read "Problem" as a hyperlink. When I clicked on the hyperlink, the exact same page loaded again in a new tab of my browser. It provided NO information about the problem with my order.
Both times I have used the website to order I have ended up calling customer service to have them complete the order. The website is useless, and I will not be using it again. I will use a different provider next time--one whose website actually works!

Pain medications for my senior dog.
I placed an order on Monday. They didn't contact the vet until Friday or Saturday. On Saturday I got a notice that they had changed the dose of the medication to the wrong one and already shipped it. They never contacted me to let me know the vet changed it to the wrong size. So the wrong medication is making its way to me via first class mail and I have to wait for it to arrive, mail it back and wait for a refund.
When i placed my order i did not hear from them about items being out of stock or back ordered. I contacted customer service several times over the course of a month and they told me they'd let me know when my order shipped. In the end they were demanding the nature of my large order saying they needed to know this in order to be able to serve me better, then they proceeded to tell me that now and forever i can only order a few at a time due to supply chain issues, even though i'd placed many large orders from them in the past on a regular basis. I would think they would be happy that someone wants to give them business and be a faithful returning customer placing large orders time after time. Is it not MY business what i use them for? Originally this company was very quick to fulfill my orders, and i was hoping to enjoy my shopping experience with their great prices and fast fulfillment for years to come, but alas this makes me so sad to have to leave such a poor review.

Proceed with caution! Ordered box-packaged bottle of Vetmedin 1.25 mg chewable pill, 50 count. Bottle was not in box as pictured, was rolling around in delivery box plus bottle was not sealed meaning it probably was hand-filled from a larger bottle or even a returned bottle so don't know what real expiration is or if indeed it's the right pill although it looks the same as prescription from vet. Needed quickly so paid extra $19.99 shipping on order placed early Friday for overnight delivery. Had to call with a question and when said had paid for next day delivery found out I missed that overnight was next business day so wouldn't receive order till Monday. But, she said she could change that for Saturday delivery and would resend it and to just write Return To Sender on package already sent out for Monday delivery. I really appreciated that but still didn't understand why it couldn't have been done to begin with. I did get package today (Saturday) but am now somewhat leery that it's the right med and how old it it. Tracking texts for delivery status was good. I'd think twice about ordering from this particular site just because product was not sealed or in correct packaging. I would also recommend reading reviews before ordering.

Not packaged in box as pictured in products, was loose in shipping box and bottle itself was not sealed leading me to believe bottle was filled by hand with pills of questionable age. (I have gotten this prescription before from vet and bottle was in box and sealed.) I paid a premium for next day delivery but in calling with question found out next day falling on a Saturday means Monday. Agent easily changed it to be delivered on Saturday after confusing explanation. Would not recommend site.

So I ordered two 14lb bags of Pacific Stream,plus a bag of cat food, this first order I had only received the fricken cat food. So I called and complained I didnt get my entire order. So then they reorder the dog food, when I got it, I got the wrong order, I received two 14lb bags High Pairie. Now, my dog is super picky and doesnt like this flavor for some reason, maybe its the bison, IDK. So I called and asked to get what I order they said not a problem and spoke with the manufacturer dirrectly to make sure order is not wrong. BUT again When I received new 2nd order today I got the wrong order again. This 2nd order was also, High Pairie. They said on the phone that the manufacturer says they didnt get it wrong, I was like I have proof they did, they were like well we will just give u a refund and you will have shop locally. I asked if it was there system messing up and if they had other order mistakes like mine, they just said no and dismissed it, then hung up. I was not impressed with the way this business behaved after I had asked them if they were having problems...

I am not normally one to say this but Dont become a new customer. if u have to and dont have any choice then order over the phone so then u can be like the proof is in the recorded phone call..

I places an order for 3 medications for my dog. For 3 days received no confirmation of order. Called and, after a lengthy call, found out that their system was not able to respond to Comcast emails. Representative was very pleasant, gave him a gmail account and got confirmation. He said that they got confirmation from my vet and would send it overnight mail at no cost. Then got a confirmation that it would come 4 days later. (not overnight at all.) It has been over a week and it has still not arrived. They also claim to have not received confirmation from my vet for one of the other prescriptions. My vet says they have sent it twice! On of the three arrived a week late in a badly damaged box which was badly packaged. Fortunately the medication was undamaged, if also very late. I will never order from this company again. My vet is also frustrated, and will not recommend them to others.

I have used this company many times over the years and had good service. The last two times, they sort of forgot to send my order. Apparently, they think refunding the amount of expedited shipping makes it OK. No. Additionally, if you want confirmation and shipping emails, you have to agree to all of their spam emails. This is my last order from them. There are plenty of other companies who do this.

I have ordered from this site for over a decade - various dog needs; but have never order from their pharmacy until last month. I have place two orders now in the last couple of weeks with their pharmacy and their service is awful. They blame the vet office for poor communication and both times after a lot of phone calls and research I find for sure that it is 1800PetMeds... and on top of that they argued and argued about their mistake. Dog meds are important. Receiving them in a timely way is important as we all know. So don't use this source for pet meds.

I called Petmeds to order a prescription on Monday morning. I told the woman my dog had enough pills for 3 days and was told I would receive the meds within 1 day of shipment since I lived close to their warehouse. I was also told I would receive an email when they shipped. I never did. I called them back on Thurs to see what happened to my order since I don't have any meds left. Was told they are going out that day via next day delivery. I didn't receive them so I called again on Friday and was told they are in the process of shipping but wouldn't receive them until Monday. This woman said she would make a special order to ship out overnight for Saturday delivery. It is Sat evening and no meds. I called Petmeds again & was told there was no special order. My order was still showing Monday delivery. Meanwhile, my dog is out of her steroid pills. The discount cost is not worth the it. I will only buy through my vet from here on ifor her meds. This is the worst!

I would not recommend using this website over others. I placed an order for arthritis meds for my dog, and two days later got an email saying they need more information regarding the order. I had to ask what they needed, (it being the CVV2 code on the credit card) and they stated that they can only ship to the billing address of the card. Which I have never been told before.

I've used this company a number of times and haven't been too impressed with their service. While not a horrible experience, I will likely look elsewhere in the future.
On Friday morning I ordered some Tramadol for my dog Chaka-Tu. I talked to a representative at 1800 PetMeds, and they said they would fax my vet and ask for a prescription. When I didn't hear anything more, I called 1800 PetMeds on Sat. Morning and was told that a fax had been sent but no answer had been received. They said they would ask the Pharmacy section to send another fax.
Subsequently, I called my vet and they said no faxes had been received. After about an hour on the phone first with my vet, then with the 1800 representative, and finally with both at the same time, the issue was finally resolved; although I understand that my prescription will not be sent out until Monday. I complained to 1800 PetMeds and found there policy is to wait 24 hours before even sending a second fax unless the customer makes a follow up call. Apparently, they never try and initiate direct contact with the vet, or even with the customer making the order. In addition, the person taking the order at 1800 PetMeds is not the person contacting the vet. Perhaps some of the problem is poor communication between 1800 PetMeds order takers and their Pharmacy department. 1800 Pet Meds also said that since Tramadol is a controlled substance the required information such as driver liscense number was an issue. However, I had provided all of the necessary information to 1800 PetMeds initally when I placed the order, so I don't see how that was in issue. When 1800 PetMeds says they sent two faxes, and the vet says they received none, the customer is caught in the middle, and 1800 PetMeds simply didn't display the sense of urgency in solving the problem that I felt was necessary.

Caveat emptor! - I purchased something from Petmeds and was hit with an $84 charge ($12 a month for 7 months) that didn't even appear on my statement until I called my bank.
If you buy something, be careful. I am amidst a dispute right now with a company called Reservation Rewards that has been taking unauthorized funds from my account through Petmeds and would only give me back $24 of the $84 they took from my account. And it doesn't show up on a bank statement. I am now having my bank give me back my money or risk losing me as a 22 year customer
