Amazon taking unauthorized payments and then not refunding

Amazon promises hand made artists a free upgrade in order to sell in hand made and then charges them for the upgrade/I got accepted to Amazon hand made to sell my products and was told I would not be charged an upgrade fee. Amazon charged the fee twice, promised a refund and then did not deliver, from what I have seen this is a large problem, Contacted CS with no success as I could not seem to get a rep that understands and speaks proper English. Have contacted BB and the FTC, also have e-mail from Amazon in which they state that the refund was processed and would be going into my bank, then they back pedaled and refused to honor the refund. Wondering how many others are experiencing/have experienced this situation. I smell yet another class action lawsuit brewing against Amazon

Hi, that sounds terrible! Have you tried online support? I've found their staff are usually capable and speak good English.

Yes tried both online and telephone, got the run around for about 2 weeks of constant calls and e-mails before I finally got someone who spoke and understood English. Apparently one of their reps put a minus sign instead of a plus sign on my account and messed the whole thing up. Amazon then REFUSED to listen to anything but what suited them.It finally got resolved in my favor and the money they took erroneously is being put back into my account, I will believe it when it is actually in there as I still have not seen it in my account. Will not do any type of business with Amazon as a seller or buyer.

Sorry to hear that. Agreed Amazon is usually good. What do you sell? I’ll have a look
