I need to get some new makeup/skincare products in rotation. Does anyone have a preference for subscription boxes? (Ipsy, Birchbox, Sephora, etc)
I've literally tried them all and Sephora is probably my favorite as they have the best variety of products and brands. Ipsy never send full size products but their sample sizes are decent and Ipsy also really pays attention to your preferences. Birchbox isn't the best. While they send full size products pretty regularly, it's usually something not suited for me. They also send lots of hair care products that I don't find useful (how many texturizing sprays do you really need?) That being said, I'd try Sephora first and if you're not impressed, move down the list =)
Target has actually come out with a few options for their boxes now and I like that it is not a reoccurring subscription. Otherwise, I would lean toward Birchbox as they have recently been sending entire eye shadow palettes which although may still be cheaper to buy individually (i. E. ColourPop) with everything else included it's a pretty good value. Also, I believe Macy's has started or will be shortly doing some type of beauty box and I have always found their pricing in general to be reasonable. Ipsy is okay but personally I think that I am drawn to the cute bags but that's about it. It really does come down to personal preference and how much you want to spend and the frequency you wish to get things. At this time, I unsubscribed from everything but that's probably because my collection is pretty complete. Hope you find a good fit for you and that I was marginally helpful in this reply.
