www.webuydiamondsandgold.ca has changed their name to http://www.SellYourDiamondsAndGold.ca. This is the most recent email I received from JVC - Jewelers Vigilance Committee. This is a scam site! Please do not send them anything. The JVC is in the process of having an attorney in Canada contact WBDG Inc. and I will add the information pertaining to what you so graciously forward about a new web address. The action is to cease and desist in the use of the JVC logo. Thank you for all your help. I will keep you apprised as matters develop. All the best! Sorry to hear that you were fooled by these crooks - If I were going to sell my " Scrap Gold " I definately would not send it in to someone that is promising to pay me on a website! Instead the very best way to sell your " Scrap Gold " or Precious Metal Scrap is to call your Local Jeweler OR a Local Coin Shop that buys and sells old coins - this way you can go " Face to Face " and get paid on the spot with no complications - If you are being ofered a rediculously high price on a website for your scrap gold it is highly likely that it is a scam! Next time just google " Coin Dealer (my sity, state, country) and start calling local - you can always turn down an offer and call someone else to find a better offer - even if it is less than what the scammers on the website offered you at least you will have been paid something, now as it stands you lost your gold and never received a dime - " A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush "

I have filed a police report and I'm hoping they can at least be stopped. I hope everyone that has been scammed files a police report!

webuydiamondsandgold.ca is a scam operation! Please report to these three sites: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx. They are Federal Bureau for Internet Crime & http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm &
http://www.econsumer.gov/english.
I was scammed as well from them. His nephew is Sam Olsznko who owes & operates Jewellery Encounter in Ottawa. His number is 613-828-9188. He claims he has nothing to do with his uncle that owes "webuydiamondsandgold.ca". That is a lie! The two are connected in this scam operation. Also more pressure should be put on JVC - Jewelers Vigilance committee in New York as they are displaying their logo on this site and we buydiamondsandgold is not a member!

There is another website he is affiliated with which is coveryourbet.com. He is located in Ottawa at 3 Horner Dr. K2H 5E6. His email is momatheus22@yahoo.com. I hope this will help someone out there that has been scammed by webuydiamondsandgold.com. I was scammed for over a $1000 in diamonds and gold and they sent me a cheque for $22.36, which I returned to them and still haven't seen or heard anything with regards to the return of my jewellery. I have now figured I won't but hopefully the more people that speak out about this company maybe we can spare someone from the humiliation and disappointment.

Yeah Tracy sorry to hear... But one thing you can do is contact your local authority. Believe it or not they now have Internet fraud departments in most local police. Granted you may be a small fish BUT, that's not to say you cannot at least place a complaint. Another place is to post your information here http://www.complaintsboard.com/ amazing how Google loves those sites. Basically when people search for this guys name or company name it will appear first on Google's search page. Next time you want to sell your gold try eBay hey I don't work for them, nor am I promoting them but at least you are in control of how much you sell your stuff. Good luck!

I swear this whole gold buying scam just has to stop, so many websites are doing that these days and making money off of people sending in their gold. I am sorry to hear that it happened to you but hopefully now other people will search google for that website and see your review.
