I sent in some great tops (from anthropologie) and jeans (from lucky and juicy couture) They stated they could not sell them because of visible wear (these items had NEVER been worn) and then to get them back you have to pay the return shipping or they get to keep them (they say donate but I've never received a notice for my tax records that I made this donation!) definitely a way for them to get clothing for themselves!

Sent them all designer beautiful items. Worked with a woman there who quit and went to the competition to work. They took it out on me and my clothes. Abruptly closed my accnt and sent me back 2 huge TORN boxes with gaping holes of my designer clothing/bags coming out of the boxes. Couldn't believe it thst thry crumpled a YSL VELVET couture piece into a ball and shoced it in there. LESLIE FONG WAS RUDE AND UN APOLOGETIC. Shame on her that she did nothing as a manager with that company. Their was a mention of going after my sales associate but refused to tell me why they terminated me and aggressively shoved my expensive items into broken boxes and returned. Slso had to NEGOTIATE getting paid. They should have been ashamed of themselves. I hope the president, owner, investors of this company sees this.

Requested a "full service" kit in July, sent in my clothes a few weeks later. Received an email stating it would take 8 weeks (!) to process. Followed up 2 weeks ago for a status update... they're now telling me it will take ANOTHER 5-6 weeks to process my items. And I expect when they do, I won't receive much given the reviews on this site. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend using.

Caveat-while these reviews are generally negative, and most probably a small % of total customers, will agree w/ one commenter that I will not list on this site. Was not impressed that they have only one rep working email; I had (not unusual)? S that took 1-3 days for her to answer - why don't they list them on their FAQS? (they like to push their full-service, while I'm an experienced DIY) As another person remarked, why don't LEGIT businesses have a PHONE customer service line? This firm lists a phone #, but it's a recording! (btw, thanks to all who post/read this)

First purchase and the bag arrives and it reeks of cigarette smoke. So Bad it can't come out of the box or it would stink up the house. I can not tolerate that smell. Emailed the seller with zero response and have sent two messages to custome service, again no response. When someone is unhappy there should be immediate response. I will never use this site ever again. I will only stick with Thredup from now on!

I sent in 18 items, 7 brand new w/tags, 3 brand new w/ no tags and 8 gently used items, all good quality name brands. It took them 2 weeks to review the items and then gave me a credit for $12.99, less than a dollar per item. OUTRAGEOUS!

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT SELL THEM ANYTHING!

Reported to the BBB already. I sold a authentic with receipt and card channel bag on there for $900. Got an email from a Sara saying they can't give me my money because the the buyer claims its fake. They refunded the buy and informed the buyer they would not need to return my purse. What the heck! Are you kidding me. So your telling me I basically gave away my channel bag that cost me almost $2000. I'm not only reporting to the BBB but also filling a law suit. Unbelievable.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with an online company. DO NOT use their "Full Service" kit. I sent mine in nearly two months ago and the items still haven't been added to their site. I asked for the items to be returned and was refused. I made the mistake of purchasing an item more than 3 weeks ago, and it still hasn't arrived. They are non-responsive to questions. I have never had such horrendous customer service.

Tip for consumers:
DON'T waste your time or money.

They are holding my clothing hostage, they listed it at next to nothing, charged ME for shipping every time there was a return and now that it's 90 days, they say they want to hold onto my clothing for longer. That wasn't what I agreed to! They don't follow their own terms! You could easily end up owing them in the process. Not worth the risk. Not an ethical business. I will never buy or sell anything from them again.

This is a totally misleading site. I sent them designer items in excellent condition, first it took them forever to acknowledge receipt and then nothing for two weeks and finally after emailing them several times, I got a response that they were not accepted due to visual wear... what wear... they were almost brand new. Total waste of time.

Don't use this site. I sent a bag full of clothes. Very expensive clothes. They were never listed. One had $198 price tag on it. No response to my email. Rip off! I'm out! Don't buy or sell anything on their site.

I had purchased many items and gave good reviews to sellers. I canceled an order because the seller did not ship the sale in a timely manner per the sites policies. To my surprise, the package arrived anyway and its tracking showed it had been shipped days after I already canceled. So far, customer service does not seem very helpful in finding a reasonable solution. Instead of offering to send a call tag to me, I have been repeatedly told to please "repurchase" the item. I suggest liketwice.com and fashionproject.com where the shipping comes from the companies! Twice is about sustainability and Fashion Project donates to charities. I have had good experiences with each so far.

Tip for consumers:
Update: I had to become more assertive a few MORE times and FINALLY received a call tag. No simple apology, show of concern, etc. I have DELETED my account and will no longer do business with the company!!!

I sent Threadflip a Full Service bag of items to sell. They refused to take some of the 100% authentic Tiffany & Co. Jewelry because they said that it was "counterfeit." It is not. I have asked them to return all of my items free of charge multiple times and I never get a response. Sellers: DO NOT send your items to Threadflip. I have used their competitors ThredUp and MaterialWrld and they are much, much better. They clearly have no ability to tell whether goods are real or fake.

This company is shady at best. I did not order anything from them and they charged my CC. What shady practices are you conducting, Threadflip? I input my CC info for future purchases and they charged me $65 for goodness knows what. What an awful rip off of a company. Beware once you put your CC info in for possible future purchases {again I have not made one yet} there is no way to remove it or change it.

I recently ordered two items from Threadflip. Both were received timely and in the condition advertised (basically). However, the watch I ordered arrived not working. Okay fine. It would've been nice if that had been included in the description, but I can get over it based on the price I paid. But in addition, the watch has a sticker on its back that says removing it voids my ability to return the watch. Again, okay fine still not upset until I sent multiple messages to customer service asking how I can replace the battery to troubleshoot the issue and still be able to return it if it's actually broken and receive no response. And my sent messages don't show in the messages tab in the website so I have no idea if they're even being received. Eventually, several days later I get an email that it's fine to replace the battery but that still doesn't show in their webapp. By then, I'd already taken the watch to a jewelry store because it's right before Christmas and I need to know if it's just a dead battery or something more serious before giving a possibly broken watch as a gift. Ugh. Also, the sticker left a gross residue which the jewelry people kindly used their cleaner to remove. Overall, the experience was much more difficult than it needed to be and customer service was awful.

I sent several items, including a new Lord&Taylor item ON its original hanger, WITH tags, as well as several pair of shoes I'd thought I could wear after foot surgery but alas, still could not. They returned two blouses "for cleaning" although they were new, and they reeked of -- sweat? Cigarette smoke? (I don't smoke), as if someone wore them. No response until today to several messages, saying that FOUR items were being returned (ahem, again, TWO) and that no shoes were received in the shipment! We are talking hundreds of dollars lost here to theft by deception. Believe me, I will be taking legal action. Do NOT do business with this company -- which by the way denied I'd sent earlier messages.

WORST BUSINESS EVER. They claim they have a ""Buyer" protection yet they won't refund my money from a purse that was delivered to me that was $235 when the seller left the price tags in the purse that was bought for $70! COMPLETE RIPOFF. Do not buy from them- if you do not get what you expect- they won't return your money! Now i'm out $235 and the crappy purse is not even worth $40.

Do not use this site! I've had several issues: 1- order that was paid and accepted was canceled over a week after transaction completed and money kept that long, 2- no response from several sellers when attempted communication about possible purchase, terrible customer service when contacted about issues, slow shipping. Don't bother!

Against my better judgment (I've been burned by them before) I placed another order with Threadflip. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I ordered 5 items, from different sellers. When I received my package, everything was packed into one box. They charged each of these sellers between $5-7 (average of $36), yet only ended up paying $5.75 for the box they stuffed everything.

As I open the box, a horrible smell hits me right in the face; it's cat pee. I take the box outside, and realize they stuffed each purchase (again, from separate sellers) in the same box. I email Threadflip, as I am horrified they would even sell items in such condition. They said "just send it back." No concern for public safety, nothing. I wrote a review under the item in case they try to sell it again (you know they will), and another unsuspecting buyer purchases it. I was appalled.

I sure wish I had seen these reviews before I sent 8 pairs of shoes in. All designer, including Gucci, most had not been worn. Took forever for them to process my shoes and then I was told nothing was accepted. I told them I wanted them returned. Just got one pair today and I'm feeling I may never see the rest. Just sick! Don't do business with these people!

I have been a member of Threadflip for a few years. However I don't go to the site on a daily or even weekly basis. I had over $200 in my account. I went to claim my money today and found the long letter claiming that they are closed and that you can no longer claim your funds after a certain day. I never received an email or any type of notice saying that at anytime I needed to collect MY FUNDS for things that I SOLD! I can't even email the company now to request information. Unreal! I want answers... they were quick to send me back my clothing when it didn't sell though weren't they?

What a joke. I'm sorry I didn't read these reviews before buying. They allow people to post fakes, and then offer a lame third party verification company that never actually looks at the item live to authenticate it. Caveat emptor - crap sold online and the site will never back you up.

My first experience/purchase was great, no issues. Easy and fast. My second purchase not so much. My item was sent not only to a wrong address, but the wrong state. Shortly after I made my second purchase (before I knew there was an issue) I purchased a very expensive purse. They put the incorrect delivery address AGAIN and the item was sent back to Threadflip. After a month I am still trying to get a refund/solution for both items.
BEYOND DISAPPOINTED. DISGUSTED

They don't list a number on their site to be contacted, they don't have an address or office location. I sent them 3 bags of clothes, shoes, watches and purses. And 1 month later, i wrote them ask what's going on with my bags of goods. They say that they haven't processes yet, and later, they told me they couldn't find the bags of my goods. The tracking info shows my bags were delivered to them way long time ago, they just want to keep the goods to themselves. These people are liars, damn f××k sh*ts, they will be punished, bad karma and shame on threadflip.
