on 3/14/18The first lesson gives me enough time to pinpoint many of the the most common reasons for sub-par scores: vocabulary weakness, wrong approach to the test (e.g., answering SAT or ACT reading questions in the same way a student might answer these questions on a school test), mastery of basic math concepts, attention to detail, etc. Before the first lesson, I have every student complete a full SAT or ACT, which allows me to target weaknesses even more specifically based on the wrong answers on that first practice test.
