I did send over 1000$ to my US account from Europe. The mail said the money should have come in by now but this is not the case. After reaching out to 3 different customer service employees the chat always went silence after sending the wire number. No support what so ever but we will keep pushing. After calling and mailing them and waiting 1,5weeks we got the money back!

The payment by card works, but they offer a cheap in theory service called "quick bank transfer" thats they didn't mention that will likely fail on certain cases (Uk security, bank issues, account dups, etc) If thats the case they still take your money but cancel your order and them you will need to start legal fights to recover your funds. (Hopefully) They put the blame also on your bank but you can see the money take it by Remitly on your statement. Support will blame your bank

This service sadly if fails is extremely paintul to recover your money.

Beware of this company. We had used them for 10 years, and they cancelled our account with no warning. Didn't find out until tried to make important transfer to someone who needed it badly. Called, and no explanation, we were just canceled. We could not know why. Because of that we had to scramble to find another means to send the money and there was a delay.

Worst money transfer service ever. Tried to send money for a deposit on a tour in Madagascar. Completed all the data and submitted for transfer. Some time later I receive a notice that my transfer has been cancelled and my account closed. Talked with customer service and they are unwilling to do anything and won't tell me why they wouldn't complete the transfer. What a scam! Don't waste your time.

This company is so bad I made two money transfers and they lost both of dec12 took them about a month to return my money they didn't know where they deposited the funds do not send money from here if you have an emergency sorry for you bad business and never give me an apology

I realize two money transfers and none of get deposited to my bank in the Dominican Republic I call remitly several times and not helping at all I have to escalate to the division of bank in Massachusetts

I sent P11,000 to the Philippines and the money never arrived to the receiver, please DO NOT USE REMITLY, they will not help you should issues arise, they will not give you an update, you will have to repeatedly explain the issue over and over with no resolution. Your money is not secure, they don't protect their clients and are just after their commission. Wish they would CLOSE DOWN and go Bankrupt

I paid for plane tickets for refugees from Ukraine living in the Country of Georgia. They needed travel money to get through customs. I went through all of their security checks then tried to send. My first attempt I sent it to myself, quickly stopped it. Remitly blocked me, because used the wrong address. To fix it the customer service rep. Said I needed another email account, so I used hers. The first card I tried there was a hold from November I didn't know about. I appealed to plead my case, which I still don't know what happened. The Ukraine family did not get the funds, they already moved out of their apartment and focused everything they had towards leaving. I don't know how or why, but I became red flagged and no one would take my cash and send it. I put everything I had into this, the Ukrainian refugees are out in the cold and my future looks bleak. Thank you Remitly. And I still have no reason for their decision?

Worst customer service
I lost 1000 £ and no support at all, every call and email asking you to wait.

Simply they are telling we are not responsible we sent the money but if received or no, they cannot confirm and they cannot take any action

Absolutely one of the mosty disgustingly incompetent companies I've ever dealt with and certainly the WORST remittance company I've ever used, and that coming from someone who has used about eight of them over the past 35 years. They don't seem to be aware that customer service is important, especially if there is a problem with the transaction; they will never accept that it's their fault and they'll freeze your account if there's the slightest problem, which means they don't invest a lot of $ in security. You may not be having issues now, but get away ASAP as it will indeed happen.

They respond to no one. Do not respond to emails. Have ripped people off on several occasions. If you get ripped off of which I have they do nothing. Put you on hold transfer to to someone else. This company and their team should be in jail and hopefully one day they all will be. Their reviews are terrible no matter where you look. This is a scam company.

The first few times I used Remitly I was really pleased with the ease and speed of transaction, so I accepted that the conversion rate was not the best. However today I tried to transfer $3500 USD. About an hour later I received an email asking for a copy of my passport photo page. When the money was not deposited in recipient account 6 hours later, I got on line with the 24 hour chat. The rep told me my document submission was received and money would arrive in 2-8 hours. I asked if she could confirm it would arrive in 8 hours. She "could not guarantee." Then I asked her to cancel,and she said she could "request" it but it would take 10 days "if approved." So of course now I'm stuck because I can't tie up the money for 10 days. Do not use this service!

That I cannot cancel a transaction even if money has not been credited to receiving account

Find a different company.avoid at all cost, money transfer delayed, the customer service not very good in resolving the problem. False promises.

Remitly is not a good money transfer, trust me stay away. I sent a transfer and it was cancelled for the reason that it looks suspicious, if it looks suspicious contact me and ask me, just don't cancel. On another time I sent funds by mistake, it took 3 months for it to be returned. I'm closing my account with them.

When I tried to log in, I noticed my acct was suspended for 'suspicious activity'. And they only have an idiot bot to chat (no humans)... not much help. Western Union is a much better choice.

Remitly will charge your bank repeatedly and then ask 4 sensitive info to reverse the charges scam!

I have been trying to received a transaction history for year 2023, and have been waiting to received their email for over 2 month's.
I have talk with several employees including a "supposedly" manager who had the guts to lie to me over the phone telling me that She would make sure that my request is fulfill between 2 hours to 24 hours period. This was 2 days ago. Her name is Rewan E., and she is a liar.
I use this application to send thousands of dollars to support my family in South America.
Needless to say, I will no longer trust a company that straight up lie to customers upon their requests. They record every conversation for "training", but obviously, those recordings are useless.
I sincerely hope that this review gets to be seen by someone at their headquarters in Washington that really cares about customer satisfaction, and not only profit millions of dollars.
They loss me as a client. I will begin to use another company to trust my money.

I registered and tried to transfer them it said it would not go through and account suspended. So I called and an agent said apologized... And I said well if there's a question of anything then what about a quick video call off me holding my ID, others companies and the IRS verify you this way but noooooo. She was helpful though and I said the account would be unblocked in 2/48 hours and once the funds are back in my account I could transfer again and there would be no problem this time because she was making a note in my account plus she gave me a 20$ discount. So... A week later and I try again and the discount is there and after I did the same transaction, same recipient and same payment method, I called to double check that there would be no problems. Well the very rude agent said no my account is suspended again and she refused to give me her name or the name of her supervisor. Totally unprofessional and now the money is not where it needs to be in time. Horrible u professional company with zero checks in place just suspend.

I had a terrible experience with this company. They seem to profit from excessive fees and lock your money for 11 days regardless of the payment method.I had to find a alternative by reporting to the web and got all the money back

Tried to transfer money to the USA from UK. The money was taken out from the bank promptly but was not delivered. I had to speak to 14 different people and was on the phone for at least two hours with reassurances this will happen in the next 6 hours and then in the next two hours and the last person I spoke to, in the next four hours. I am still waiting for this to happen. Please save yourself the heartache and use some other service.

I have been using this service for a year and suddenly they decided to deactivate my account for no valid reason. After getting all my money and using their services, suddenly deactivated fo absolutely no valid reason!

Beware of this Scamming Platform, Remitly! I should have read the 1 star rating of this Scamming Company, Remitly!

Nerver ever use Remitly! Be warned...

I have no words to explain their unprofessionalism and miscommunication. This is one of the worst service I have ever used. I have raised a concern with them on 12th Oct which is still not resolved and I still not received my money back. Every time i ring representative tell me the same S...t story.
I will never recommend it to anyone.

Beware of this company, if something gets wrong you are screwed. The costumer service is horrible and unprofessional. Every time I call or text to know what happen to my bank deposit I get new story. Either they don't know what they are talking about or they are l just lying to me. Meanwhile, I'm still running to behind my money after a month for a transaction that supposed to take 3 days. I hope one day I get my money back. When you use the chat they just ignore you

Done with them! They have locked my accounts 2x and when I made the 3rd one they said I can't do transaction with them anymore because I did something that's against their rules. Wtf! I just used my accounts from when I am in the country or out of the country and they locked my account because my location was not the same and said I should inform them ahead before using it out of the country. Lol! I swear you won't go far as what you are now!
