Am ordering a machine from a company in China which processes all payments through PayPal; what precautions need to be taken? Do I have recourse if machine is faulty, and, if so, within what period of time

Don't! PayPal doesn't have your back. They will side with the seller.

NOOOO, Paypal will not have your back, you will have to ship the item back at your expense if it's not as described, doesn't work, trash, etc.

Don't do it or be very cautious and major on top of it. Seems PayPal is getting worse and worse and im banning any business from China. To many scams PayPal backs up
